I have been coming to the clinic for four years now and I have never been displeased. I see Dr…read more Jacqueline Rohl. She is very experienced, friendly, outgoing, and easy to talk to. I think that's very important when selecting a doctor in this area. I would recommend her to any of my friends. She takes time to make sure all your questions are answered and always remembers who I am and my medical history [and I only come in once a year!]. Sometimes this office gets busy and there is a long wait; however, I went today and arrived 40 minutes early. I got into and out of my appointment before I was even scheduled, which I appreciated. So I think the wait time is really hit or miss. Going to an OSUMC doctor will always be like this, because it's such a large facility and they see so many patients. My only concern is with billing. I read a review from Emily H. below about insurance advice/billing and I sympathize and agree with her. I had an issue where they charged me $288 for some tests that they had told me were covered by insurance. After a lot of fighting I stopped receiving the bill, and to my knowledge the matter was solved. I think you just have to be persistent with them. They see so many people and seem to not be as organized as they could be. All-in-all though, I have only had good experiences here. I don't mind the waiting and things like that because Dr. Rohl herself is an awesome doctor!

After I graduated and could no longer utilize the Student Health Center, I was looking for a doctor…read morewho was at OSU. I scheduled an appointment with Dr. Goist. She was perfectly nice, but didn't seem to realize that women have 13 cycles in a year (meaning I need 12 refills for a prescription, not 11). When I had an after-hours question regarding when I should start said prescription, I left a detailed voicemail... and never got a response. Fast forward to 11 months later, when I need to make my next appointment. My insurance at the time would not cover anything, so I asked their billing department how much everything (exam and lab fees) would cost. $180, they tell me. I figure that while it seems a lot, it's a small price to be assured of my health. I make an appointment, which the office later calls back and changes to a different date and time. (It worked in my favor, so no complaints there.) While Dr. Goist was still friendly, the entire time of the appointment, from checking in with the receptionist to walking out, was 7 minutes. I wasn't asking for a long chatty visit, but I also don't like to feel like I'm being rushed. Again, the prescription was made out with 11 refills, not 12. And the cherry on top? The bill didn't arrive until 3 months later, because the office insisted on billing my insurance even though I told them they wouldn't cover anything. And the damage ended up being over $300. There was nothing complicated about my case whatsoever, so I can't even blame it on extra lab fees or anything. I've been very disappointed with my experience and overall got the impression that I was just a number and a bill to them. I don't have anyone else to recommend but would suggest that you avoid this office (or at least Dr. Goist).

I have never encountered more incompetence in my entire life: the…read morereceptionists are rude, the billing department is prehistoric (if not an outright scam), and the miscommunication is rampant When COVID-19 hit I was behind on payments and had to stop my monthly appointments. They did not approve of this and would hound me to make appointments (without my employers insurance that meant these appointments would be 100$ each. Mind you this was a 5-10 minutes face-time appointment where almost nothing was discussed). I was balancing on around 400$ of backed up payments and decided to sign up with a payment plan. I have a recording of this phone call where I gave away sensitive information including my credit card to these guys and was told I couldn't make my payments on the 1st and was told to pay on the 5th. I said okay, and then waited for the payment. Nothing went through without my knowledge, and nothing was communicated (exactly opposite to what my first call assured me would not happen: "We will call you or email you if your payment isn't received" is the statement I was given). I was then ejected from the plan with a final notice mail I received on the 23rd. When I called to get this sorted out, I was told "you must pay in full or we refer you to a collection agency there are no other options" Please find a new practice, and do not engage with these people for your healthcare

This doctor is a horrible excuse of a human being. I recently had two back surgeries in August and…read moreNovember of last year. I have another one scheduled for last month. I went to riverside on Wednesday because I had sudden excruciating pain that was unlike my normal pain plus I had a fever and a sudden golf ball sized lump that suddenly formed under my incision site. I was treated with birthing but disrespect. This "doctor" came in and said my mri came back and everything looked perfect besides some scar tissue and discharged me. Now I know my back can't look perfect if im scheduled for another surgery next month so I asked for a copy of the report. There was quite a bit of information found on this report that was not disclosed to me. I asked to speak with him again and was told he would not discuss the mri with me because he was not trained on reading the reports. This is a complete lie. I waited over 4 hours to speak with the doctor and the whole time he avoided me. I still have a fever, an elevated white cell count, and the incision area is still hot to the touch. He refused to address any of this. He did not even wait for the blood cultures to come back. He is s coward and a terrible doctor. I look forward to filing a complaint against the medical board as this doctor is negligent and incapable of doing his job. I have already filed complaint with the central Ohio primary care office. Do not trust this doctor or allow him to care for you.
