Have used them for online order transfers for years with no issues plus the lowest transfer fee in town that I know of. You just fill out their contact form on their website with the requested info and they contact you when it's ready to pick up. Recently bought a handgun and a suppressor + piston from them and had issues with the piston itself at the range. Walked into the store to ask about it, they replaced the piston and test fired it on the spot and walked out in 10 minutes with no questioning of user error, talk of money, or to call the manufacturer/s instead. read more

My go-to local gun shop for all my fire arms needs. Staff is always helpful and I walk out every time happy with my interactions. I use them for all my fire arms and suppressors purchases. Bonus that they have the Elite Suppressor Shop kiosk in-house. Highly recommend read more

Bought a Hall Precision AR 15 style rifle in 2021, been to the range 3 times, every time i get a click and jammed rounds, first time shooting it got a click, makes me not want to go and shoot it especially around other people lol Update: The business responded by questioning why I waited 5 years to leave this review. The reason is simple: I continued trying to use the rifle and experienced the same issue multiple times. (Last time it happened was 1 weeks ago at the range, very first shot again, click and it jammed a few shots later) After repeated failures, I decided to share my experience. The amount of time that passed doesn't change what happened. Only when to the range with it 3x in the last 5 year. read more

Hall Precision and Gunsmithing - Gunsmith Near Me - Fredericksburg, Virginia

heard good things about them from a friend but I experienced the opposit. took in a ak barrel in to get chopped and threaded and first they couldn't even tell it wasn't an ar barrel. Along with that they didn't event cut and thread it correctly. then they charged me double of the quoted amount( I called it was 150 then I came in and it was 300) and not only was it double price it ended up being double the wait. I was told 3-4 weeks then it ended up being just over 2 months. supper obnoxious no one in there seemed like the wanted to talk to a Customer and one employee was talking to me like i was a retard just cuz my houlstr didn't cover the trigger well of my handgun. Bunch of fudds Edit to respond: 1. I had a versacarry clip houlster between my pants and belt along it was on safe and decocked it ain't going anywhere 2. I'm fine with paying a premium price if the customer service and work is quality but it was not. I asked for it to be cut down to 12.5 and it is over 13ins. The gas block can not be be put in place due to the shelf not being far back enough and the threads are very weak 3. I understood when saying it would take a bit longer but the work order had said 3-4 weeks from my understanding a bit longer should be maybe 5 not 9 4. It is also not good customer service to bicker about the job with the customer on yelp and maybe it would be better to try and resolve the customers issues. I will be bringing it somewhere else to see if there's enough meat on it to re cut and re thread read more

Stripped a screw on my wifes red dot. Got a very reasonable quote and brought it in. Professional, kind and understanding. There is a reason quality gunsmith's are hard to find and always busy. If you want the best and also really fair prices your not going to find better. Cannot praise the quality and speed of the work. I would have happily paid double but they dont price gouge or inflate. Just stand up guys A+. read more

absolutely the worst customer service/attitude establishment I've ever walked in. I will not come back on the sole purpose of who works here. every single employee acts like they hate their life. very RUDE. I've never spent the time to write a review for anything in my life but I would rather drive 3 hours to buy something from anyone else then buy something from these people even if they were next door. don't believe me? you'll see lol if any employee reads this.. cheer up buddy. it can't be that bad. read more

Probably the rudest gun store Iv ever been in. Walked in, not a single person said hello or welcome in. Not a one person asked to help me while i looked around. Didn't ask if id like to look at a gun. Nothing. Absolutely rude AF. read more

Hall Precision and Gunsmithing - Shadow systems cr920 - Gunsmith Near Me - Fredericksburg, Virginia

Questionable Honesty/Reliabllity: Hall was to send my Taurus tx22 back to Taurus to address a jamming issue and gave me a work order to that effect. About 2.5 months later called Hall to see if they got my gun back and they had not. Several weeks later I called Taurus to check on the status of my gun and was told they needed a tracking number. So I called Hall for a tracking number and was told they would take care of it. Next day Hall called to say my gun was in that the problem could not be replicated. So I picked up the gun and Hall repeated that the problem could not be replicated. I then requested to see the report they got from Taurus and was told they threw it away. A few days later I got through to Taurus and was told they had no record of working on my gun. Having bought several guns at Hall, needless to say, I won't be back. read more

I have been dealing with this business for many years, so I feel some of these negative comments are misplaced. Yeah, curmudgeon! Yeah, it's a gun shop! Sheeks! Anyway, I have had many excellent GUN SHOP experiences! Transfers, etc.! One of my best experiences was when a firearm was negotiated down to $1,300.00, but when I got home, the check was written for $1,350.00. This $50.00 bonus was a testament to the fairness and integrity of this business. Mr. Hall is a class act! read more

I had several guns to sell of my fathers and didn't know where to start. This place was able to give me an appraisal fee for each gun at a very nice price. I highly trusted them. read more

First time in the store today and VERY impressed. Staff was all great, very helpful and friendly. I came in to trade in a pistol on another more well suited as a suppressor host and they had just what I was looking for, as well as a nice optic to sit on top of it. They installed the optic and bore sighted it free of charge. They also checked the alignment of the suppressor on the gun before I left and everything was perfect. They also had an outstanding selection of firearms in stock as well as NFA items. I'll definitely be coming back in the future. Thanks! read more

Curmudgeonly staff. Inattentive. One guy behind the counter kept cussing like a sailor. Lastly, they did not do what I asked so I was not satisfied with the gunsmith work. Won't be going back. read more

I asked hall precision to perform a restoration of my grandfather's .32, nickel plated, octagon barrel, H&R double action revolver. About 100 years old and had sentimental value. I found it at the bottom of my grandfather's fishing tackle box so granted it was in rough shape. Triggers locked up and had some surface rust but not horrible. Anyway, long story short I found hall staff completely unmotivated to perform the restoration, full of excuses and poor communication. I never felt like a valued customer nor did I feel hall understood the sentimental value I had for the gun. I would have paid multiples the dollar value for a kick ass restoration but sadly didn't get that at hall. I received an amateur restoration IMO that took way too long (2+ months) and incomplete (trigger is still not 100% functional). Practically had to beg them to finish. They had no paperwork on gun restoration project (details of work performed, parts replaced, etc.). They couldn't give back the old "broken" gun parts replaced (lifter, springs, etc). Even car mechanics do that. They surprised me with "the gun's frame is cracked" at pickup but couldn't inform me of this fact at anytime during the 2+ mth restoration? What is that about? I do not recommend hall precision for gun smith work. read more

Best gun shop in town, by far. Love this place, always met with great customer service, the guys here really do there best to make sure you get everything you need and are highly knowledgeable about anything you might want to know. The gunsmithing service is fantastic, I recently got a custom built rifle here and it was done in a timely matter and was perfect. I also took their ccw class and it was informative and worth it. Even through the pandemic they have done awesome, so if you're in the area I would highly recommend them read more

Stopped by Hall's a couple weeks ago on a whim after seeing the store from the Hwy! I had a Ruger #1 from 1976 that had been neglected and decided to let them have a shot at restoring. Daniel took it and called me a couple times over the next week with updates and recommendations. Two weeks later I got it back and it has been brought back to life! They did a great job I would not hesitate to use them again! The deer are already leaving the state! Thanks so much for your craftsmanship!!! read more

See all

I take all my weapons here. Too much political advertisement though. Should just be interested in their business.

These fellas are my "go-to"! They are very fairly priced and have a decent selection for a small shop. The only downside I've found are wait times, but hey, if you want perfection, you should be patient. read more

When I walked into the store, it had such a friendly environment. I honestly came in not knowing as much as I should, but at Hall Precision I learned a lot. I ended up walking out with a pistol I really liked and still enjoy. From my experience with the other gun shops around town, these guys know what they are doing and they do it well. They, also, were able to restore the antique rifle I had acquired from my grandfather to shooting condition and it looks great! All of them are Marine veterans who give great advice! I recommend heavily to visit and talk to the gentlemen there. I'm going to keep coming there for anything I need gun wise, 5 stars all the way! read more
