They were considerate of my increase in symptoms and provided new prescriptions to replace the antibiotic and provide an inhaler for the wheezing. I really appreciate their time and flexibility to make sure I would be ok. This is a significantly better urgent care than some closer to me, and I rate it the highest stars.

I scheduled an appointment only after explicitly confirming with the staff that the doctor could refill my medications. I had just moved to Virginia from Florida on short notice to care for my mother after her heart attack, and I explained clearly that I didn't have a primary care provider here yet and urgently needed my routine prescriptions refilled. The staff assured me--100% guaranteed--that the doctor would take care of it. When I arrived, Dr. Singh immediately told me that his team had "misinformed" me and that he would not be prescribing anything. These are basic, standard prescriptions, that i've been taking for 10 years. I had sent them my medical records and doctor notes ahead of time. Not only was my time completely wasted, but I then received a $150 bill for an appointment where I was essentially bait-and-switched and left without the care I was promised. When I called to address this, the woman who answered the phone was shockingly unprofessional--talking over me, raising her voice, and treating me with outright disrespect. I've never dealt with a medical office that showed such little empathy, professionalism, or basic human decency. I rarely write reviews, but people deserve to know what they're walking into. This office is clearly more interested in billing than in providing actual patient care. Save yourself the frustration and go literally anywhere else.

The next appointment after that would happen after another extension weeks of waiting. He also wanted me to contact my insurance for copay information versus the office doing it, which is protocol. This office does not understand HIPAA. I planned to visit another endocrinologist's office but ended up coming back here after my primary doctor's advice. We hadn't scheduled any appointments with them in 2022 and at some point during that time period, they stopped taking our insurance. We didn't receive a notice or anything regarding this --which may not be much of a big deal, but it would have allowed me to look for another pediatrician way back then. It wasn't until about a week ago that I found out when I tried to make an appointment for my middle son and we found out they no longer took our insurance not when we made the appointment, but when the appointment actually was supposed to occur. The issue I have is that as a result I had to find a new pediatrician --which was fine I guess--, and when it came time to fax over my children's medical records, they said I had to pay a $25 fee before they would even send the records over. For some reason that REALLY bothers me because it is not MY fault they no longer take my insurance, but as a result, I am FORCED to find a new pediatrician so I shouldn't have to pay a fee to send the records to the new pediatrician because I have NO other choice! I could understand if so were requesting the records for a new doctor that I decided to change to of my own volition, but this wasn't voluntary. On top of paying the fee --which I did-- they said it would take a week or two just to get it to our new pediatrician. UPDATE: The doctor contacted me after seeing the review to let me know that her new front desk associate made a mistake by charging me the fee to have the records sent for the same reason that I didn't think I should have had to pay it (not our fault that the office no longer accepts our insurance). They reversed the charge for the fee and even sent the medical records the following day instead of the one to two weeks that the associate I originally spoke to quoted. The doctor was very kind and supportive in making sure all issues were rectified and even offered to still see our kids somehow if we were running into difficulties finding a new pediatrician that would accept our insurance.

We've been seeing Dr Giancola ever since we moved here and couldn't be more pleased. Our son is now a teen and still feels comfortable talking to Dr G. Their online parent portal, appointments and bill pay really help reduce those endless medical forms too and make everything so much easier. Office Hours are the usual and you're never kept waiting for your appointment which is especially good if you need to take your child out of school for a doctors appointment. The office is cheerfully decorated and clean and sick vs well-check waiting areas are separate to avoid spreading germs. Highly recommend!

His name is Dr. Vipul Parikh. I found him due to a recommendation from my Mother - she had also recently switched Doctors - and she really liked this Doc - so I thought I would give him a try. His practice is located on the third floor of the Heathcote Health Center medical building - located at the western end of Heathcote Boulevard. I went in for my initial meeting/consultation to scope him out - liked the overall vibe of the Doc and his practice and went with him. He is very personable, listens to your concerns, and takes the time to patiently articulate things.
