In order to get speak to someone face to face it has to be done at one of the bigger branches on Salford precient and the town centre. The staffs are pleasant to deal with and are very efficient and quick when dealing with transactions. The only problems I have had is when you are dealing with big sums to which they refer you to the store manager that asks very personal question to fathom whether you would be interested in some of there other products like savings, isa, insurance, etc.

This branch inside was quite nice, it felt up to date in terms of technology, with a good amount of cash and paying in machines, which was good - however... the staff here were quite poor, there was no meet and greet service despite there being not a lot of customers in the store, I wasn't welcomed as I would have been in other branches which is a shame. I mainly came in here to use the cash machine to transfer money between my accounts and this was easy enough to do, is the same machine as Natwest stores nationwide such as my local stores in Manchester city centre and Middleton. This store is slightly nicer than my local Manchester City centre store, however, it is much smaller, with the city centre store being out of date, with computers often running Windows XP, the branch just feels old, however, I hope this can change when they relocate on the corner of Market Street, however that is a different review of a different branch of Natwest, albeit probably the closest nearby branch to this one. Overall, this branch is okay and for convenience, I feel 2 stars is a worthy rating for this business, but it is a slightly small branch, perhaps even smaller than the Oldham store, and while also considering the poor staff, I feel this branch is only worth a two star rating. UPDATE: Due to an improved standard of customer service on a recent visit, and the fact this is probably nicer and quieter than the more central branch in Manchester, I feel this branch deserves a three star rating as until the new store of Natwest opens in the city centre, this is probably going to be the nicer, more modern and quieter branch.

This is the closest branch to my office so I called in to make an apointment during my lunch break…read more I provided my details so that someone could call me to set up an appointment, however a week passed and I'd hear nothing. I decided to try again a week later as I really needed to sort out my finances. I had to wait for a short period before being seen to, and it just so happens that I was seen to by the General Manager. I raised a complaint about not receiving a call back after leaving my details and I was informed that this would be looked into and I received multiple apologies. The computer at the pod we were sat in decided to freeze, but i was quickly transferred to a private room and eveyrthing I needed sorting was done and dusted within 35 mintues. After the initial disappointment I feel that I was treated with the upmost respect and it was very clear that the staff were sorry for what happened and that the matter would be bought up with the person to blame. All in all, I would return there.

A rather large HSBC store on Park Row in the Financial Quarter of Leeds in the city centre, from…read morethe outside seeing this bank at first I just said "Wow", with this HSBC store really standing out in its' location due to being a huge building for a bank which generally doesn't have many branches like this. Opening hours are slightly better than average being open Monday through to Saturday between 9 and 6, albeit they open half an hour later on Tuesday (Strange as most banks open later on Wednesday's for training), and they close an hour earlier on a Saturday's, this is better than average for the area but still lacking compared to B (a brand by Yorkshire Bank) and Metro Bank stores, albeit none of them has branches in Leeds. Booking an appointment at this branch whether it's for a mortgage advisor or set up an account is pretty hard, they often require booking over two weeks in advance (compared to other banks, you can often walk in and get an account the same day, or at least within a day or two or digital banks such as Monzo which you can join from your home in under five minutes), and even then the times are limited and they only seem to let you decide between four times unless you wait another week again. - Considering this bank has longer than average opening hours to have such limited choice in appointments with the latest time always being two hours before they close, is a pretty poor show. A decent large branch of HSBC with good facilities, staff could be a little friendlier (average staff), and the appointment process needs dealing with better. 3*

Unfortunately my account manager entered my details wrong which lead to the entire account needing re-addressing and a lot of inconvenience for me, though after this was resolved service has been okay. Upon entering the building you're greeted by a member of staff, which at first seems welcoming but as a regular visitor can grind a little! The self-service machines for paying cheques in is pretty good, usually takes the heat off counter staff. Their business side is generally welcoming with staff greeting everytime and tea/coffee on offer whenever you meet with your account manager. The best thing about business banking compared with other banks is that the account is free for 3 years, and there is only a small fee for cashing cheques (which only occurs after you've reached your 20-something limit per month). Overall a decent bank offering friendly service.

Halifax seemed to have the best deal and we easily switched online although there were a few bits we had to do in branch with regards to joint accounts etc. I found the whole process pretty easy and their on and offline support staff have been great. We had a meet here yesterday with one of their managers and she was super friendly and a pleasure to deal with - nice work Halifax!

I find the staff here to be pretty friendly and helpful, they can help regarding both HSBC and First Direct accounts. I could easily pay in money, even though I had forgotten my card, as I had access to my online banking portal. The branch feels fairly modern overall, I like the "This is Manchester" branding on the exterior window and the overall look/feel of the branch. I do find their opening hours to be a little restrictive, especially on weekends, they close at 1 pm on Saturday and then they're closed until Monday, during the week the hours are the standard 9 - 5. 4* - Good bank branch in the centre of town for HSBC and First Direct customers and one I'll surely be returning to in the not so distant future.

And I've been to a few. It's got quite a few floors which probably meets a lot of different banking needs. There's always lots of staff looking to help you, answer your question, direct you to a floor or one of the most easiest, self-sufficient pieces of machinery ever made to man. Most of the time going to the bank is a hectic, painful experience. But it's made ever so easier at St Ann's.

Moving onto my regular review - This is not only one of the poorer Natwest stores I have visited out of the three I've visited in Manchester city centre, but I'd even go as far as to say this is the worst branch I have visited since I joined them as a customer which includes branches in Manchester City Centre, Manchester Spinningfields, Oldham and Middleton, and I could perhaps be missing other branches out too. The branch just seemed old fashioned and dark, it had virtually no tech such as machines to pay in money, which all other Natwest branches I have visited so far so, which certainly isn't good enough for a location in Manchester city centre, spite the fact it isn't their main city centre branch and is neither the largest or in the most central location, yet I still expect better. The staff just seemed rude, the card reader where you put in your chip and pin seemed old fashioned, and when I tried to stretch it out to reach, the member of staff was constantly aggressive, telling me to put it back. She also seemed rude when my card wouldn't go through, asking me to wipe it and that originally failed, she seemed rather impatient, rude and it felt like she wanted to be anywhere but working, I felt as welcomed as a Manchester City or United fan would be in Liverpool (Although to be fair when I went to Liverpool away at Anfield, all the stewards were really friendly!) At the…read moretime of writing, this branch has the best opening hours compared to any other bank elsewhere in the town centre, although they still close at 4 pm due to temporary COVID-19 reasons, this is still at least an hour longer than the closest other bank. I do think it's annoying how they're closed on weekends right now though, and I hope that changes as soon as possible. It is pretty spacious inside, with a lift/stairs to what I presume are meeting / private rooms. A good number of ATM's inside the branch, including one outside, I did find the machines pretty confusing however, they had three different types of machines and I didn't know which one to use - One machine was a standard ATM for withdrawing cash - One machine was for paying in cash - Another machine had a keyboard and seemed to offer banking services? I do think they should try to group together basic facilities into one machine, it makes little sense to have different machines for paying in and withdrawing cash, especially when other banks combine them. The best branch is the one in chorlton at the four bank road. second i think is the one in withington, opposite the withington library. The staff are always good and helpfull. Sometimes though you have to wait for a while until someone comes over to help you and when the queue bulids up. But hey its credit crunch and due to redundancies etc there is a staff shortage in almost all business sector.
