The sad fact about these people is that they are liars and are carrying out fraudulent MOT tests that result in ordinary people shelling out £100's for unnecessary work. This kind of expense and stress is compounded by not having a car for days at a time while you either let them carry out the wasteful 'repairs' or take the car elsewhere as I did. Either way, they are there to rip you off. I had an experience and reliable welder swear blind he'd never known anything like it when F1 rejected' some fairly basic under body work this week. At a cost of £280 to me! I've yet to have the car passed after two trips to F1 but will do so at a local garage away from their bully boy tactics where 'knowledge' (mostly ingenguine) is power. I was charged an adequate price for the MOT and the couple of repairs that needed doing to get it through, and they seem like a very honest company, who care about doing a good job rather than fleecing their customers. On coming back was told by the mechanic that he'd had it up on the ramp and that I'd need a new gear box and it would set me back £800, while all the time being unable to look me in the face, rubbing his chin and breathing in through his teeth like a cliched plumber telling you "its going to be expensive". Obviously the guy thought here was a young mug he could rip off, suffice to say I declined the repair job. Later on I jacked the car up myself in the middle of the night with a only a puny torch it took me 30 seconds to realise the CV boot joints had split, a job which cost a couple of quid and a hours labour at another garage.

My car has never run so good and I should have had it looked at sooner. Mainly specialising in car accessories, or performance devices, you can find some people with more money than sense trying to find beaming neons, or massive sub-woofers to fit into their Golf with one fat exauhst, but you have to expect that kind of thing, especially with the amount of chav's you find in cities (I sound like a right countyr boy!). They have a pretty good mobile service for fitting batteries that is available between 7am and 7pm.

It is a bike shop and they seem to do quite a lot towards that side of thing. You can bring your push bike here for all manner of repairs and advice or you can buy a new one. Accessories like helmets, reflectors and what not can all be sourced here too. Then there's the motor side of things. Engine re-mapping for £700, MOT servicing and a number plate printing rig are just some of the factors that suggest to me that this is definitely a place for cars. The conclusion is basically that it's a place for both. If you have a bicycle or a car that needs fixing, chances are they can sort it out here.
