I have used his servcies many times, and referred a number of bikers to him all of whom have had very positive experiences. For example, I took an 05 CBR600RR in for a minor service which included a change of brake fluid and an oil & filter change on top of the usual inspections and adjustments. Total cost £37.90 for parts and £45 labour (1.5 hours) which I think is reasonable on top of being really convenient. Rich also does tyre fitting at his Shirehampton workshop. I order my tyres online at the best prices and have them delivered to him. Fitting and balancing is £15 a rim. He can do single side swingarm wheels which many places do not. He used to work for a big dealeriship in Bristol, has loads of race and track experience, is polite, well presented and wouldn't scare you in a dark alley (i.e. he's not a tattooed scumbag chancer).

As they refused to accept liability I had no option but to take them to court (at considerable expense) In court the Judge found completely in my favour & awarded me a full refund + costs totalling over £21000 which they have refused to pay.

The guy who was doing the training, called Paul was incredibly rude, impatient, patronising and condescending. Considering we had never been on a motorbike before, he was an awful instructor. He rushed through the training session and was very patronising. I ended up crashing the bike into the hedges and hurt my shoulder badly, tearing several tendons. He had no empathy whatsoever, about whether I had hurt myself, and was more concerned about his bike!! Had he taken the time to explain more about bike control and what to do when you lose control, he focused more on patronising the students and rushing the lesson. My colleague continued to the end of the training course, whilst I sat out and observed them, with a very sore shoulder. I am sure there are many good instructors out there in Bristol, but this Paul guy is certainly NOT. Please do not waste your money going to his courses but alternatively find an instructor who is capable of teaching.

They are a huge shop, selling bikes, and everything else that's needed for one - helmets, jackets, helmets, spares and whatever else! Upstairs are the bikes themselves, which are very nice to look at indeed. Staff here are friendly, and are around for information and help, but never pushy when you're wandering around. They are family run, and they do actually provide really good prices; some of which are cheaper than what you can find on the internet. I'd say that the selection in here is really huge,and if you're looking for anything bike related, you should come in here and have a browse.

A cycling fanatic from Chile, the owner has been here only a short space of time and has already amassed a firm group of workers and customers. He explains to me (in a beautifully fluid mix of Spanish and English) that his ethos is to put back into the community what he takes out. He takes trade in with his cheap prices and honest approach, but puts back with cycling fares and mini festivals in the local park. A good service for your bike will cost about thirty pounds plus parts. You can pick up new or second hand models as well as all the reflectors, lights and accessories you could ever need. It's an independent store so they can't afford to be as cheap as some places on everything but they're a lot more personal, friendly and human. It's what you want really.

I popped in here totally clueless after damaging my bike in a fall and, rather than treat me like the clueless idiot I am and fleece me, the owner, Baltazar Padilla- aka Balti - did a great job. For £17 he gave my bike a mini-service, fixed the brake blocks, made some adjustments and sorted my mud-guard. And he was friendly, bright and breezy all the while. It seems he knows most people in the area as passers-by are always popping in to say hi. And he sells a range of essential cycling accessories for very reasonable prices as well as new or second-hand bikes.

Once inside I was surprised to find that it's not all leather jackets and rock and roll - it's actually a very pleasant place. Not only do they stock all sorts of kit from clothing to visors, but they offer a wealth of information too. They're approved dealers in all sorts of qualifications and in servicing.
