If it's scooters or motor bikes you're after than eBikes is your guaranteed one stop. Proprietors…read moreof all sorts of bikes they offer everything through all engine sizes and prices. In addition to the bikes there's also the gear: the clothing, the helmets, the gloves and the accessories. All of this stuff can be grabbed here too as well as a good on site workshop. Repairs, MOTs and any technical questions can all be helped with here. You really get the impression that these guys don't just know motorbikes, they live motorbikes.

Within that time I had to take it back to the shop at least 6 times for repair (each time being left without transport for 3 days) for 3 separate faults - 3 times it was for the same fault that hadn't been fixed (and still isn't!). As I had had to take it back so many times, and the battery was really poor the owner agreed to give me another battery for free. When I picked the scooter up (the day before my warranty ended) I asked the owner if a new battery had been put in. He confirmed that they had. 4 months later I called to request the details of the battery they supposedly put in, as mine was really bad and the owner tells me there's no record of them putting battery in it. I told him that he had assured me they had. He replied "I don't remember that it was 4 months ago". I said that he could put one in now then and he refused, saying "it's not an everlasting deal, that was 4 months ago". Even though I reminded him that he's not done it in the first place he still refused. Would not recommend them to ANYONE!

I had a bad experiance with this dealer, I bought a brand new Fireblade in May 2007 for cash and as…read moreI was going on holidays I asked Thunder Road if I could have a bike delivered to them from Honda (as my brother worked for Honda at the time) and have them set it up, and do the deal through them as they are a Honda dealer. Before I went on holiday I took down the chassis number on the Fireblade that was on show in the showroom (as my brother had warned me about shops swapping the bike around). When I returned from holidays I went straight to Thunder Road to pick up my bike. When the sales man had completed the hand over, I looked on my phone and checked the chassis number of my now new bike! To my horror the chassis number on my phone matched the chassis number on the bike that had just been handed to me as mine? Then I checked my document and sure enough the chassis number on the document did not match with the chassis number on the bike I was given. I then went into the show room and went up to the now bike on show, checked the chassis number on that and sure enough the documents and bike in the show room matched each other. I saw the sales man and told him of the situation, and he denied it at first, then realised I had found out what they had done to me!! They had got the bike ready in the show room for me and registered it within a few hours?? They was more angry that they were left with a brand new bike in the show room that had been road registered. For my INCONVENIENCE all they offered me was a free dinner and coffee while they sorted the problem out!!!! So if you find yourself in this situation, please check your documentation before riding off, as if you have a accident on the way home, you will find you will not be insured, as the chassis numbers are all wrong!!!..

A small, independent shop selling motorbikes, helmets, bike gear and everything else you might need…read moreto keep your beloved machine on the road and in sparkling condition. The shop incorporates a large workshop, and bikes can be booked in for anything from a quick MOT to a full re-build. The staff are a friendly and knowledgeable bunch, who all ride motorbikes and have a great passion for them. They genuinely want to help you get out on the road. If you're a first time rider looking for your starting bike, you could do a lot worse than look here. The prices are reasonable, you could probably get a bike cheaper from Tradeit or Ebay, but the difference is that all the bikes sold by Speedwell have been taken into the workshop and tinkered with to make sure they're in absolutely perfect working order. You should have no problems at all, but if something does break, you can go straight back and they'll sort it out.

I phoned this morning and spoke to the owner and told him I couldn't get my bike started and could I push it down to the workshop as it's about a mile away. The owner said that would be fine and to park it outside. As the garage is only a mile down the road I decided to push my 250cc to the garage (expecting to be riding it back home). When I arrived the owner wasn't there and the garage was only staffed by one very pleasant young man. Having spoken to the mechanic he agreed to take a quick look and decided I should drain the tank and replace the fuel. However, he didn't want me doing this in the street and asked me to put the bike in the garage. My expectations were for the garage to get the bike running and MOT the bike and ofcourse pay for the services rendered. Then the owner returned. Without asking any questions or finding out what had happened, he proceeded to speak to me with total contempt and no respect whatsoever, and kicked me out of the garage. As a customer, I have never been spoken to so disrespectfully in any shop, business or service provider. After calming down I went back in to confront him as he himself said on the phone I could come down and I did nothing without the mechanics permission in his absence. He then proceeded to sarcastically patronise me, says he wasn't providing a free service. He continually repeated this despite my stating I had every intention of paying for any services rendered and that I had been planning on getting him to do the MOT. After all the abuse he said I could still book it in!!!! When I told him I no longer wanted to use his garage because of his rudeness he threw me and my wife out of the garage again! I was totally shock and disgusted by this man. What a terrible shame as his staff are wonderful, but I could not recommend this garage in anyway. And since they never got the bike started or allowed me to book it in I had to push the bike all the way home again. Heed this warning. I will never go to that garage again, and a rating of one star is only awarded to his staff (I would recommend other garages poaching these nice mechanics before he goes bust due to a lack of customers).
