Today was our second visit to Star City Music. Last year we purchased a used clarinet for my…read moredaughter (her old one was well loved for over 40+ years) and desperately needed a break. We have had 0 issues with it, it has had a successful marching and concert band season. Because our kid loves music (plays multiple instruments), we decided to purchase a used base clarinet too (this one by far was the most affordable option, we tried it before we bought it as well). She has played base clarinet for over 2 years now. She has used the schools, it was ok, but could probably use a bit of TLC itself. Star City Music by far had the best prices on instruments and reeds. I definitely recommend the trip--I'm told they can even deliver to local schools for reeds, repairs, etc. Both encounters have been knowledgeable and helpful.

Stage Sound just completed an event for VCOM at Hotel Roanoke…read more Wow!!! Talk about makiing a plain ballroom come alive...Stage Sound did this. The uplighting added so much to the room. The sound system was fantastic, along with the sreens, monitors and all else provided by Stage Sound!!! Working with them prior to the event was a breeze...all the staff know what they are doing and are so professional. A couple of staff stayed for the entire event to run the sound system, etc. making sure if there had many any cliches..they would have been taken care of in a flash...but no cliches happened.
