Office: no wheel chair. a little cramped I get it but come on, you got people with broken legs coming in, maybe at least one to transport customers?
Nurses: rude, dismissive, not at all helpful. if you're injured, bring someone to help you, they won't. I broke my leg, my sister brought me here and she helped me onto and off of everything. At one point, they moved me into a casting room because it was the closest room to the X-ray room and they said they wouldn't need it. finally some compassion. The nurses show us where it is and my sister makes sure I get safely to the room and helps me on the table, the whole time the nurses watching. We figure we will be sitting a bit and they said they wouldn't make me move again so my sister went to grab us a quick bite to eat. Shortly after, Dr. Hale pops by to holler that I need surgery and he's surprised no-one in the ER saw that. So now I'm extra scared and in tears and alone and the nurse comes in to tell me I have to move cause they do need the room after all. and I have to move back to the furthest room down the hall even though only one of the other rooms was occupied. I ask if I can wait for my sister to help me and they said no they need it now. I shoot my sister a quick, need surgery and they want this room text, and carefully slide myself down to the bottom of the table and off it. The nurse, who watched me struggle hands me my crutches and walks away. I have not been walking on them regularly even at home. getting to that office and down the hall to the X-ray room was already tough and I at least had my sister making sure I was safe. Now I had to go down the 50 foot hall with no support whatsoever, in so much pain I am LITERALLY in tears. It takes me a good 5 minutes to get most of the way down the hall when they finally say I can just turn into the room I'm currently closest to. This was not an act of compassion but done because they wanted to get out of there for the day and I was taking too long for them. Seconds after I get back on the table my sister is back having turned around to come help me move. I explained they wouldn't let me wait because they needed the room and she said there was no one even in there.
Dr Hale: dismissive, pushy, pervert, grabbed my breasts...broken leg, how they correlate I don't know. He told me I needed surgery by hollering it as he walked by the casting room I was in at the time, uh thanks for the privacy. After I had been moved and my sister returned and he came in to explain things with my X-ray. he showed me a gap between my knee and tibia and said it had broken off. what had broken off i don't know because when I asked what he meant he just got more frustrated and said it broke off, you need plate and screws to hold in place. He said he could do it next day, which was good I guess. But I wasn't entirely comfortable with the level of care/service I received and told him I'd like to call my Uncle real quick. This annoyed him tremendously. I called my uncle who said go ahead and book it and then research the dr. since I hadn't before hand. So we made the appointment for surgery and dr hale starts the paperwork and I guess the nurse called the hospital to book it or the blood tests. The hospital calls me while I am still in with dr hale and my sister. Since I am answering Hale's questions I hand the phone to my sister and she takes it outside. shortly after she leaves the room he then checks my heart rate then grabs both my breasts (full hand, full boob) and my stomach under both of them and walks away asking more questions. I am so stunned I keep answering and then my sister comes back in the room. All I can think is if he'll grope me like this here, what will he do once I am under? Too beaten down by my long day to say anything, I try to think of reasons to cancel my surgery. I need it, but maybe not that bad. Luckily, as we're leaving the office, my uncle calls me back and says DO NOT DO SURGERY WITH HIM. he has baaaad ratings. Having experienced his office first hand myself I see why. Luckily, the next call is the Surgery office needing me to come in for bloodwork. I told them I wasn't going to do the surgery after all because I'd like a second opinion, they offered to tell Hale's office for me so thankfully I didn't have to deal with them again.
I did get a second opinion who agrees I need surgery but that i need a trauma specialist and a regular orthopedic won't be enough.
Overall Experience:
If I could give 0 stars I would.
If you respect yourself at all and consider yourself human, do not go here expected to be treated as such. Everyone is condescending, no one truly cares and they will watch you walk down a hallway in tears rather than get off their ass and help you in any way.
However, if all you value is getting in and out and don't care how you are treated or what kind of service you receive, this may be the place for you.
Basically, only go here if you hate yourself or are in a hurry. read more
