Unfortunately, my Mini me thought she wouldn't like PACKHawaii because she knew nobody there. That all changed from the first day. In fact, she had such a blast! The staff, and volunteers were welcoming and knew all to well the feeling of not knowing anyone. They made it a fun and safe place for all the kids. Ms. Mini me decided to get up early everyday excited to go and practice. For summer, it was a whole day affair and she was ready to get out the door before I was up. Why couldn't she be like this going to school?! Anyway, performance day came and she was excited about her the whole show. The family came to cheer her on and we were amazed how great the show was! The stage looked amazing. In 2 weeks all the kids memorized their lines, learned choreography, stage presence, and memorized songs. It was impressive to see how much these kids learned in only 2 weeks. They even help make the stage, props, and programs. AMAZING! PACK has different programs. There is the summer programs, different shows to tryout, they have dance classes and offer various workshops for kids. It is such a great program and it is on the Westside!! Overall, It was priceless to see my mini me's confidence and excitement grow with each day. Thank you PACK for having this wonderful program available in the Westside. My daughter's new found love of performing came out because of PACK. She has gained so much and learned a lot about herself in just a few weeks. I can't wait to see what next summer will bring.

Westside Story is one of my all-time favorite "classic" movie & musical play and I must say, PACKids did this production justice! Who can resist singing along to "When you're a Jet," or "I Wanna Live in America," or even belt out, "take my hand and I'll take you there..." or "I Feel Pretty, oh so pretty!" PACKids really outdid themselves by singing, dancing and acting their hearts out on stage - it was truly believable and something they can be proud to have been a part of. I know I was proud to have witnessed such a beautiful musical. It's no secret, i embrace local entrepreneurial endeavors and that affinity does not end with just my purchases. I support local talent when I can. Here in west Oahu there is not a shortage of talents and skills. PACK is a local, non-profit, after school musical theatre group that puts on 4-5 musical productions in a year. Children audition for parts and should be able to sing, dance, recite and act. It's the real deal at PACK! Since moving to west Oahu I have seen School House Rock Jr., their Christmas Holiday production, Little Mermaid and now, Westside Story. These kids are amazing!! I've seen them grow with each performance and their sets get better and better. No need to drive into town anymore to catch a play at Diamond Head, Manoa Valley or Hawaii Theatre...PACKids ROCK!!

Mariah will be in France for the summer but will return to the studio in August. =)…read more I still cant believe she used to cry at the first few Saturday classes she went to 3 years ago. Mariah (now 7) had such an amazing time at concert and already told me she wants to be in every single number next year LOL. I wanted to say THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts for everyone at the studio doing what you do for all of the students. I will definitely volunteer in the dressing room again next year and I will have a better idea of the flow. The concert was amazing as always and well worth it in my family's opinion. We look forward to many more concerts in the future. I noticed this year it was a hard to see the "little ones" perform because they were often behind much taller students or far off to the side. That is the one thing I noticed that could be improved on for next year but not a big deal as hopefully we will have the girls taking more classes next year allowing them to be in more numbers. Thanks again for everything, you are ALL very much appreciated! -Christina & Mariah

I have seen my daughter in many performances and today I just saw her in a performance at Pearlridge center and I was surprised in a good way. I am also happy to have found a great teacher that doesn't only teach how to do this move or that move but also teaches, as she says, to "dance to the beat of your heart". I could see that in my daughter today. Thank you Ms. Erin, all of your hard work, dedication, and love for your students is well appreciated.

This review is in regards to the Zumba class I recently took at Studio 808…read more Studio 808 is located in the heart of Waipahu next to the iconic Leeward Drive-Inn. I've heard of Studio 808's dance programs but have never taken a class until I heard about the Zumba class being offered there. You can take the stairs or elevator to the 2nd floor and reach the studio on the Leeward Drive-Inn side. Once arriving, there is a front desk area set up in front of the studio where people were manning. You can pay in cash or Venmo (I did the mobile pay option because I didn't have cash). Fortunately, Studio 808 has also catered the Zumba class as a remote class so you can actually sign up for the class and dance from home by watching the instructor. Upon arriving to the class, the room was overall clean and spacious. Because the class is also done virtually, there wasn't many people in the room. The Zumba instructor was Erin and I have nothing but great things to say about him. As someone who isn't a dancer, Erin was kind enough to teach the lessons via virtual cam and in-person. The overall class was a lot of fun and I enjoyed the music better at Studio 808 compared to the Zumba classes I take at 24 Hour Fitness. I would definitely recommend to go with Erin because he's exudes positive energy, always smiles while breaking a sweat and definitely knows what he's doing. I was even watching the participants online (who were older folks) and they seemed to thoroughly enjoy the class at home as they would in studio. If you're up for doing a Zumba class in Waipahu (or simply at your own home), I would definitely recommend this class to take. Admission is about $7 per class but the first class is free! Classes are every Tuesday from 6-7pm.

The only way for you to stay the whole day was to purchase a day pass for an additional $20+ per person. As if the $500 we paid to have a party there wasnt enough. So ridiculous. Plus the pizza we ordered through them wasnt the greatest too. $32 for 16 slices of pizzas and it tasted salty to me. The amount they charge for food is actually pricey too.

(Sorry for all the grammar gurus out there. Run on sentences the horror) I have to say God totally set this up with me finding this place in the first place. It all started with my neighbor mentioning that his fiancee daughter goes to ballet and thought that my younger daughter would enjoy it. Being that she's such a girly girl that loves unicorns, rainbows, butterflies, and Jesus he thought she would love ballet. I mean what girly girl doesn't want to be a ballerina or princess right?! So I started my search and stumbled upon Prisma Dance. A "Christ-centered dance training" studio. I found a ballet class right away but guess what....I also found they had a HIP HOP class! Seriously you would not find HIP HOP affiliated with Jesus ever but this place had a HIP HOP class that I thought would be perfect for my older daughter. I also have been in the search for a dance studio with a Hip Hop class that would teach my older daughter dance moves with.."class" and be "appropriate". Let's be real here that the music and the current dance moves are not "the best". I in no way want my daughter to portray or encourage her to dance like that. A few days later to make long story short I actually ran into Nicole and she shared about Prisma and about their recent mission trip to India. Immediately I knew that both my daughters need to be a part of the Prisma family. My daughter's first day of Hip Hop class we got confused where the entrance was and a couple moms welcomed my daughter and I and showed us where to go. Nicole wasn't at the studio yet so the moms actually took my daughter and introduced her to the Hip Hop instructor Henry. Everyone there was so warm and friendly. Some of the kids came up to my daughter and took initiative to introduce themselves. My younger daughter has yet to go to her first ballet class but I'm sure she'll have a blast. She already has a great connection with Nicole and adores her. For anyone looking for a dance studio that will encourage your children in the Lord this is the place be!

They work with kids as young as 3, I think and all with the patience of a saint - they can put up with crying, stubborn behavior, fear, hesitation, with a smile on their face and a heart of gold! And Ms Shinogu brings great discipline into the class and doesn't put up with nonsense but she does it in a way that is extremely nurturing and caring. She really wants to support all of the students to be the best of themselves. The Tumbling classes can be hard to get into so if you're interested in tumbling, sign up as soon as class registration opens. Ms Gina was very understanding when we were first starting and helped us navigate our way through the classes and now we're there 3 times a week. One tough thing is that participating in the summer performance is very expensive and somewhat cost prohibitive between the participation fee, costume fees, volunteer requirement, and ticket prices. However, dance students are not required to participate in the performance and can still completely participate in the regular classes! The one awful thing about this place is the parking. 1) there is a free lot (register for 1 hour free, after that it's paid) across the small street but it's so hard to find a stall because it's shared with a lot of other places, the stalls are small, and so many cars can't park within the lines, 2) they can ticket you, even if you have paid - they did rescind it but only after I took the time to figure out how to dispute it, 3) there are a few street parking spaces up the hill but hard to get, 4) you can park at the municipal lot but have to allocate enough time to walk across the street, and sometimes that lot is full.
