I loved the reasonably priced goat pieces. Wish they had more selection of goat and lamb.

So the common market has always been a huge staple for me and I really appreciate the variety of vegan and gluten free options they have every time I visit home. I've never really gone to the location in 7th street, but I decided yesterday morning to grab a bite to eat and order a drink. I never really anticipated a bad experience, and it wasn't all that terrible, however, the clerk completely forgot to make my breakfast wrap and there was a lady that ordered 10 mins after me that got her food before me. I was already half way through my drink and I was shocked. The clerk even looked at me and said "oh sorry I forgot about your wrap it's coming out soon". To top it all off I ended up getting sick when I ate half of it, and I feel like the only reason the wrap made me sick to my stomach was because the young man was rushing to get my order out. Not a very good first time experience at this location, and it's sad to say this will be my last time here because the last thing I need is food poisoning. Other than that, the cashiers were helpful and friendly and the store was nice and clean.

Not very Common for a market!!…read more Everything here is exceptional. I love all the fruit, I literally just ate a peach and was so compelled to write about it. The staff, while is mostly comprised of college age hippies are knowledgeable and actually care. The whole store is very clean and the meat counter while very small screams old school home made!! The sausages looked so good I had to buy some, and after cooking them up with some onions and peppers my neighbors above me who are vegans were peeking as they chewed their grass and had to rethink their decisions on eating food that my food eats. There are fresh made sandwiches that they will press for you and give it that grilled awesomeness that only comes when your doing something special with meat and cheese and good bread pressed with 400 degrees of steel resulting in a sandwich that makes you want to light a subway franchise on fire. Now on my most recent trip, covid is rampantly knocking off people so a lot of the fun stuff has been put away. Normally they have fresh cooked food that you can box up hot and take and eat. The selection ranges from American favorites like loaf of meat and spaghetti to Indian food to soups and salads ( spinach salad is good, the dressing makes it the bomb dot com ) and fresh cookies and breads oh my. ( Public Notice: no lions or tigers ) You will spend more money per item here than Walmart. They don't have as good of a selection as Wegman's. They don't have a coupon app thingy that makes you think your saving money like everyone else. But you will feel like your saving baby seals and once you leave and start to load stuff into your vehicle a rabbit will wink at you in a attempt to say thank you. The lesson here is pay more money for food that tastes like food and not canned crap. Yes, we all like to save money, and that's noble. But there is a time to eat your extra long chili cheese coney ( much love sonic ) and there is a time to bite into a peach and feel like your a little kid again and have wonderful sweet juice roll off your chin and life is once again, is worth living. Stay hungry my friends, - JW

Clean, spacious good quality of produce and other goods, and friendly staff. I'd be more than happy to make this my regular place to do my weekly shop. But it's a bit far away... But during those times of Covid this place was not quite a life saver, but a quality of living saver. Kudos!

But then you had to go and put a GIANT WAD OF HAIR, in a tray of cinnamon buns from the bakery. Not only that, it was all the way at the bottom so now I have to live with the fact that I let my family eat almost an entire tray of disgusting hair infested cinnamon buns all week. I might be able to convince myself it never happened with ONE stray hair (NOT saying it's ok) but a WAD of hair?!?! This should be a federal crime. I feel so violated. So, what's the verdict here? You've got some sick-o who puts hair in the food because they hate mankind, or you've got some jerk-o who won't wear a hairnet because they've got ZERO respect for anyone & hates their job with a passion. To make matters worse, 2 months ago I was buying bread here & wanted to try the new Natures Own bread, and there were little black fruit flys flying around inside of the bag. I convinced myself it was Natures Own's fault, and gave the bag to the person behind the seafood counter (closest employee) and continued my shopping. Now one can only wonder...
