Chicken Tangra Masala

Rare 5-stars from me. Stumbled upon it by accident almost 9 years back and been eating here since. We stop here whenever we are around Burlington and have been know to drive a LONGGGG way sometimes just for the food. They make the best Hakka Chowmein & Chopsuey I've had in North America - and that's saying a lot! Awesome sweet corn soup & hot and sour soup too. If I got to pick my last meal ever, I think this would be it! Enough said!

All this for under $20.

The food here is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the prices are very affordable! This restaurant serves Hakka food, which is very much a South Asian/Indian version of Chinese food. We ordered the schzwan fried rice and the hot garlic fish. Both dishes were amazing! We would highly recommend visiting this place!

Takeout Order: Crispy Beef, House special noodles, House special fried rice and chilli chicken with sauce. All excellent.

Order takeout. Food was excellent. Nice amount of heat for the chilli chicken. Local favourite for sure.

Scoping out some newer places for our lunch crowd I stumbled across Hakka Fresh on Fairview. Lately I have been a fan of Hakka style cuisine in the last month so I ordered some take out. The restaurant is upscale and well kept. Pleanty of seating and the decor updated. I walked up to the counter and found out that they have a specials ($6.99 for a vegetable dish and $7.99 for a non veg dish). I ordered the chili chicken with fried rice. In your combo you also get a small spring roll and your choice of either a daily soup or pop. I opted for pop. The menu here is pretty extensive and there is a number of food choices ranging from some signature "Hakka Fresh" dishes to Chop Suey. I waited in the small waiting area near the cash and the food arrived in less that 10 min. The portion size was very reasonable. The Chili chicken was slathered in "gravy" or sauce, but the taste was good...not too spicy. The fried rice was made with basmati rice (not my favorite type of rice) but it was cooked well. The small spring roll was a nice addition and had a hint of curry flavoring. I have yet to try a dine in experience, but the take out was fast, friendly and the food was good....4 stars

In my first visit I really liked the place, but second time it couldn't impress me much. Chicken Pakora and Karachi Chicken were no where near by the taste you find in India. Chilli chicken was on sour side, but I would definitely recommend their fish items. Being an Indo-chinese lover this place was not as per my expectations.

I love Hakka but I wish they served non-halal meat as an option as well.

Not spicy. food was good just not really hakka. The $40 party tray is a bit small better to get 4 regular size.

I recommended upgrading to the Barbari bread We also started with the Shiraz salad - this was the only thing we ordered today that was ordinary The Koobideh Kebob and the Dahl Addas were delightful Please note that that we had loads of rice because both the Kebob and the Addas came with sumptuous quantities Overall a very nice experience It's been a few years since I came here last and I'm sure my next trip will not take as long

We peeked inside. It was busy and with quite a few Persians. We decided to try it. I am so glad that we tried it. Everything that we ordered was outstanding. We got the Rayhoon trio sampler, Addas Palo, and lamb shank. The trio sampler was basically 3 different dippings and came with a basket of bread. The owner was very nice. While we were enjoying the food, he walked up and greeted. He explained how we could use the trio sampler to enjoy the entrees which really made it even better. Following the suggestion, I put a little bit of lamb sauce over the rice and put a little bit of yogurt sauce over a small piece of lamb, then ate them all in one spoon.... It was amazing!
