On one occasion, I sat with wet hair in a towel for nearly 40 minutes while she worked on another client, and I remained completely understanding. I tipped well, in cash, and always made an effort to be supportive and positive. Over time, our appointments became increasingly one-sided, with Krystina Marie frequently sharing highly personal details about her life and struggles. She expressed that she trusted me because we shared similar interests in meditation, Reiki, and other spiritual practices, and said she felt unable to discuss these topics with most people. Despite what I believed was a trusting and respectful client relationship, the experience ended in a remarkably unprofessional manner. The night before a scheduled 4:00 PM appointment for a simple bangs trim, Krystina Marie asked whether I could come in earlier at 2:00 PM. I explained that my wife and I share one vehicle and that I would need to keep the originally scheduled 4:00 PM appointment. She responded that she should still be able to make it work and would let me know if anything changed. No one contacted me to say the appointment had been canceled or reassigned. After I had already left home and was entering a two-hour round-trip commute, I called the salon to let them know I might be running slightly late. Only then was I informed that Krystina Marie would not be seeing me. There was no phone call, no text message, and no email notifying me of the change. When I spoke with a salon member, I was told that "Krystina doesn't like confrontation" and that it would be best for me to begin seeing another stylist. Shortly after that conversation, Krystina Marie sent a text message to my wife--not to me--stating that she would no longer be my stylist. After more than a year of loyalty, substantial travel time, generous tipping, and unwavering support, being dismissed in this manner was deeply disappointing. People make mistakes, and scheduling errors happen. What matters is how those mistakes are handled. In this case, there was no accountability, no direct communication, and no professional courtesy. The quality of the hair services was good, but professionalism, respect, and integrity matter just as much.

We went over what it was that I was looking for when I arrived for my appointment & even showed her a reference picture. Alise was very pleasant when doing my hair but 4 hours later I had hair that was very gray (like a medium gray) & not even close to the silvery white of the picture that I had shown her when we started. When I told her it was too dark she seemed shocked & then said that she did it intentionally because in a couple of washes it'll fade to resemble the reference picture. I've been getting my hair done like this for long enough to know that's not how it works. Gray will not fade to the color I asked for. Also, I shouldn't have to go home & wash my hair several times for it to look how I want it to after 4 hours in the salon & $300. When I left she told me to text her in a week to let her know how it was fading. After 5 days I reached out & let her know that I was still unhappy with how it turned out & asked if she'd be willing to correct it since it's not what we had originally talked about. We started having a conversation about it & now she has stopped responding. It's unfortunate that I spent a very decent amount of money, didn't get close to what I had asked for & when I asked her to correct her mistake she didn't bother to work through a solution.
