Went in for a last minute haircut and pedicure, and was happy they could fit me in. Haircut was excellent , the stylist was new but did a great job and was very friendly. Pedicurest was also friendly but it felt more like an express job and not very relaxing. For $47.00, it seemed overpriced. I have had much nicer pedicures for half the price. Overall the salon is clean and I would definately return......for a haircut. read more

I have been to Hairoics a couple times and it was fine- nothing that sets it apart from other salons I have been to. This last time though made me realize I'll never come back. I got bangs cut terribly. Even though I told the stylist what I wanted and showed her a picture, she cut them unevenly and way too short. It will now take me about 2 long months to grow them out and go to another salon to get it fixed. read more

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME!!!!!!!!! Came as a part of a bridal party to get services done prior to the wedding. The makeup artist (if you can even call her that?) was very friendly though I think it was to compensate for her lack of skills. She is very limited in her ability and experience on non Caucasian American patrons. They do not have foundation or concealer for any persons darker than Paris Hilton. I won't berate her poor technique or lack of hygiene when it came to using the SAME products on everyone ( mascara, lip glosses,etc). I'll just say the service is absolutely not in any possible way equivalent to the premium prices they charge! I will also add that by the time she had completed her 3 separate attempts to rectify the mess she had previously slapped on my face I washed it all off and applied my own makeup right before the ceremony. In fact 1/2 of the bridal party removed her application and did their own makeup which was a total waste of our funds and time. The front staff left a lot to be desired in the realm of customer service! Once we had paid for our services even though we were still waiting on other members in our party we were no longer relevant and even getting a question answered was to much for them to be bothered with. The hairstylists couldn't do the brides hair it took 4 stylist to eventually get the braid requested placed. We are currently in the process of trying to get in touch with the management to let them know of our disappointment with their "High-end services" though surprisingly enough no one will return, in any way our many multiple forms/attempts of contact! Tourist Trap! RUN! I signed up for Yelp, simply, to WARN people about this salon. I was quoted one price; then at the end of my service, I was charged $30 more. They refused to honor the quoted price and told me, "oh well, it looks good." It actually didn't look good, the stylist smelled like smoke (making me sick), and I had to redo my hair right after. I wanted a simple blowout with lose curls which I get all the time in many different cities (average price 25-40 dollars). $60 later, I left with what they called a "formal style." All the stylist did was curl my hair (no pins, twists, updo of any kind). They tried to say they were giving me a deal because they usually charge $75 (did they think I was an idiot?). I met Ashley Lackore over a year ago when she started to cut my hair. Cutting my hair is a no brainer it usually just needs to be trimmed. But...Coloring/highlighting my hair is a different story. My hair is long and it takes patients for the stylist and for me to sit for a couple hours. The first time I told her how I style it and let her pick the color. All I can say is FANTASTIC. The highlights looked natural and when it grew out I didn't have dark roots. That's very important to me. I look forward to getting my hair done. She makes it look like I have just been to the BEACH. Rude & condescending!! I was told by the owner she was cancelling my massage & pedicure appts the day before my wedding because she couldn't give me a quote on hair for the day of. She said she did not know what Victoria Beckham's hairstyle looked like. She also said I had been on the phone for 30 mins asking questions (as I am in another state & was trying to coordinate appts for myself & one bridesmaid!) and asked why am I trying to get my hair done anyways!! I was recently at Hairoics for a variety of servicess with a wedding party. I'm pleased to give a glowing review. They were a bit disorganized, but we still got in and out. When people added services they were quick to squeeze us in. When someone had an issue with their manicure, they were quick to have it fixed. They had a great spot for wedding parties to bring in their own breakfasts while having their hair done. I highly recommend Hairoics! read more

This place totally wowed me! I wasn't sure what to expect, but their website was pretty nice and I had found a few reviews online with good things to say. Their spa area is very nice, dimly lit with soft music playing. First, I got a massage by Carol and it was wonderful! Completely relaxed, I then got a facial by Nicole and was totally pleased. I was surprised to get a foot massage while my mask was setting. Great experience and will definitely return next time I'm in town! read more

I have been to hairoics many times for haircuts and waxing and they never remember me. I took my best friend there to have manis and pedis for her birthday and I never want to go back. After having the very expensive shellac done on our nails hers chipped the next day and mine was 2 days later. It is supposed to last several weeks. When we called to complain they had us come in and fixed the chips but here it is again a couple days later and we're having problems again. I will never have shellac done at that location again. My toes look so much better with just the regular polish and that's with running several miles a day, walking on the beach, and standing up all day at work. My hands are chipping worse than if I had done it myself. Save the trouble and money and go somewhere else. read more

What to do with a rainy day at the beach? Get a pedicure! I called in the morning and booked an appointment that afternoon. I arrived on time, and waited about 5-10 minutes. I got the classic pedi (no paraffin). It was as nice as any pedi I've had elsewhere. Friendly technician, nice massage chair, relaxing leg massage. I did not feel rushed at all, even though the technician mentioned afterwards that she was finally getting to take a lunch break (around 2:45). The selection of polish colors could have been more varied, but I found something I liked. A little over a week later, there's no chipping and my toes still look good. read more

After recently moving to VA, our family visited OBX right before school started. All 3 of my daughters needed haircuts before school, so I looked for a place in OBX to get it done. Thank you Yelp reviewers for helping me find Hairoics! My oldest and youngest simply needed trims of the styles they already had, and their stylists did great. The greatest challenge we gave Hairoics was my middle-school daughter, who had a long, unruly, thick mass of wavy hair upon arrival but wanted a short, spunky cut. That is waaay different than a trim, but the stylist was up to the task. They went through some pictures, chose one, chopped off a donation for Locks of Love, and got to work. When done, the style looked a little mature on my daughter, but over the next few days she learned to work with it and make it her own. The reason I'm writing this long, rambling review is because that haircut rocks! My daughter did not know a soul in her middle school, which is scary. But she has been getting compliments on her hairstyle, even by guys (yikes!). It has been a great conversation starter and confidence-booster, and every bit helps at that age!
