we visited hair masters today after my girls got out of school to surprise them with hair cuts, the women that greeted us was very rude did not make eye contact with me or any of my family ... I felt like she was forced to acknowledge us... after she asked for my phone number she said she'll be right with us she had an appointment that came in so she had to help her which I understand .. but we decided to leave. she made us feel so uncomfortable and not welcome. I didn't get her name but she was an older caucasian women so we took our business across the way to Supercuts instead. read more

I went in a couple months ago to cut my hair and I loved it . But this time the person I got didn't do a good job. She was friendly but I was sad when she told me she was done . I showed her a picture of how I wanted my hair to be cut and when she told me she was done I was shocked because it had no style the layers weren't giving , like the girl in the picture . She said she would cut my bangs up to my cheek bone and when I saw her cut them a little above it I knew It was too late to even say anything . It wasn't going to bring my hair back . I do respect everyone's work but respectfully if someone shows you a picture and you might not feel 100 percent comfortable in doing it I would want a honest "I can't do it like that " or it won't come out like that . I came here without an appointment and the manager, Gabby asked me to take a seat. She immediately took me and made me her next cut. I've been looking for someone to fade my hair and give me a hard part, since barbers shop prices have gone through the roof. Not only did I get a great cut, but I also got my hair washed and styled. I strongly recommend this place. Gabby gives a great fade in a clean environment, with some nice music being played through the speakers. read more

I paid $35 for a horrible haircut. The stylist, Biri, is not skilled in hairstyles. She wasn't communicating well, she came across as a know it all, and I ended up with a style 100% different from what I showed her a picture of that I wanted. Then, when I was trying to explain, I was not happy. She became very rude and sarcastic with me and made my hair even worse. I should've just got up and walked out!! I should've requested Tina. When Tina's done my hair before it was a pretty good haircut. Big mistake! So disappointed... I was so looking forward to a nice spring haircut, and it's horrible!! 2 stars mostly for the great service. But it's the worst haircut I've ever gotten. Looks like I got my hair cut by a second grader. You can definitely tell where the layers are, meaning, layers weren't blended well. I asked if she could blend the ends more or texture them at least and she says "Well there's no point if you're going to wear your hair curly." So when I decided to straighten it a few days later, I had one short layer and one long layer. That was it lol. Horrible cut. read more

Ever had feeling I am making a bad decision based on the way your greeted? Well immediately upon talking to Vanessa the person who greeted me I had one. I am not one to give out my phone number because I don't like to receive spam text or calls from businesses so the greeting was very off put when I only gave my name. However that's just the first thing. I only saw 2 hair licensing and there were 4 people too. Red flag number 2. Then It was time to get my haircut. Normally I go to places that ask how you want it... and in this case I said a comb over style which I previously had so I didn't understand what was meant when they asked what number are you? When I go to a mechanic they don't ask do you want metric or standard tools. So how would I know the tools that the stylist uses? Third red flag was the stylist just seemed pissed off. She was quite she and had a scowl while cutting so it didn't surprise me that not only did I not get the style I want that she ruined my ability to get one for several months now. Made an appointment for my 2 year old here last week because he needed a haircut badly. In the past, we would take him to Fresno to the kids hair salon, or my husband would take him with him to the barber. My son is terrified of getting his hair cut, and he does cry. But he does not throw himself around like crazy (he used to when he was younger) or try grabbing his hair, etc. He just sits there and cries while sitting in my lap. Usually we like to just get it over with; I try distracting him with the iPad and a sucker and he likes to talk to the person cutting his hair so he feels comfortable. Unfortunately, that's not the experience we had here. It seems like the minute the stylist saw my son, she had an attitude. Literally the only thing she said during the entire haircut was "I can't do this if he's gonna be crying." Or "He needs to be more still!" And just being extremely rude to my son and rolling her eyes at him. He is TWO and he was scared, and instead of being sympathetic or trying to talk to him, she chose to take it personally and act like we were just an inconvenience to her. I have family members who are hairstylists and we have taken my son to many different places in different cities before, and I have never experienced someone as rude as her. Even when we went up to pay, she didn't say a single word to me. Just collected my money and turned around. I wish I had gotten her name. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone with kids. Maybe they shouldn't offer kids haircuts if their stylists are not prepared to deal with them. read more

I came here to get my haircut and I showed a picture of what I wanted to the lady cutting my hair I had long hair and wanted shoulder length hair with layers and when I left I hadn't noticed that my hair was uneven and looked horrible I immediately went back to have the lady fix my hair not only did I not get my hair fixed there but they was closed 40 minutes early. This is the first place I came to when I moved back. The first time I got a cut it was good, but the second time they butchered my hair. One side was longer then the other and the fade they gave me was awful. It was longer on some sides then others. I had talked to one of the stylist about what I wanted and even had a reference photo if she needed it. She didn't look at it or cut it the way I wanted it too. From the moment we stepped into the salon the costumer service was terrible. I walked in and asked if my daughter could receive a trim and gabby (the manager) replied with attitude "I don't know, I have to check we are very very booked this morning." She was getting ready to check out her other costumer as she was taking care of us. She took us to her chair stating she would do it because it was a quick trim. She showed me how much should she cut and I walked up close and agreed with how much she was cutting. As I was still standing there she rudely says "Um can I have my space!" & chuckles as if that makes that statement any better. Maybe it was my fault that I continued to stand close, but there are nicer ways to confront your customer. For example "I work more comfortable if you sit in the chairs now that I know how much you want cut on your daughter" or "do you mind stepping back please" just FYI Gabby. I decided to stay at this salon because we needed this haircut ASAP, but this will definitely be my last time coming here. I recommend not to go to GABBY THE MANAGER. Her service is terrible. WORST CUT and hairdresser ever!!! My sister and I have been coming for years without problem. Yesterday my mom went to get a quick trim, 1 inch off the bottom and trim up her layers. The hairdresser was a heavier set lady who proceeded to HACK off my mom's hair. Leaving many missing chunks and long UNWANTED bangs without any blending and one side longer than the other. The hairdresser continued to cut my moms hair shorter and shorter in an attempt to fix her hack job until my mom called it quits. My mom went with waist length hair and came home with barely chest level length and awkward leveled bangs that we had to box dye and fix ourselves. WILL NOT BE RETURNING! read more

Tried this place because of needing someone for a last minute touch up and trim, this will be a lesson learned for me. I was not greeted when I came in even though I was only the second customer there and the lady that did my hair seemed like she didn't want to be there. I did not get the trim or touch up that I wanted, my trim was more like she cut a few strands and she was don't even though I told her to trim off all layers. My highlights were way too blonde and they are hardly called highlights anymore it's more like blonde hair now. I definetly don't recommend this place I know I will never return! read more

Haircut was not the best. The worst part was that after a wash of the hair they leave your hair wet not even dry. When I asked for them to blow dry it a little. They specifically said that costs extra about $8. What the heck?!? That's ridiculous. $8 extra to use the hair dryer? Went in for a complete make over and was so happy with the results! Cut at least 8 inches off my hair if not more and Gabbie was so patient with me as I eased my way into my new hairstyle. But then I did on a whim because they are darn near the only place open on a Sunday in Tulare and the woman who did my hair before wasn't working. However, the woman who did my hair this time was impatient and rude. If this can happen twice I think there's a management issue here. I will say the job they did was okay.
