Here is why: First, the salon is very relaxing, well-appointed, yet unpretentious. Stacy is the owner and has a gift for hair design and for running a business, too. Stacy is specially trained by Ouidad to cut curly hair and does an exceptional job. Every time. My daughter initially came as a companion and for mother-daughter time, but has been delighted by Lindsay's talent for both styling hair and eyebrow waxing. She also discovered Angela, the nail technician and her meticulous mani/pedis. She is an expert gel nail provider. The customer service at Indigo is unparalleled. I would recommend Indigo, you'll feel like Queen for a Day! And if you have curly hair, you have to allow Stacy the opportunity to cut and style your hair the Ouidad way, it's amazing! One year later...still loving my hair as done by Stacy at Indigo! It's the healthiest in my whole life, thanks to the fabulous cut (4x/year) and the Ouidad products. This place is definitely a "Woohoo! As good as it gets!"

She left the foils in way too long because she booked another client at the same. She also applied my all-over color at the shampoo sink, and then left me at the sink for it to process, which I have NEVER seen in my life. It was uncomfortable to be in that position that long. I probably could have overlooked all of this (by chance I had nothing else to do that day, but I don't know who has FOUR hours to spend at a hair salon), but when my highlights came out literally orange (I'm not exaggerating...cheeto orange) because she left the bleach on for too long, instead of owning up to her mistake, she tried to convince me that it looked good. I told her no way, it needs to be toned, and so she did fix it--but then charged me extra to do so. After being there for four hours, I was too tired to even argue the extra charge. :(

I've gotten my hair and nails done multiple times at Fortunato's by several of the girls. It has…read morealways been a great experience. As a gift from my mother, I was given 2 gift certificates (one for me and a friend) to get a cut from Crystal Coville at Fortunato's. I had never had my hair done by her before, but assumed it'd be great just like any other time I'd gone there. I called immediately to book an appointment and never even received a returned phone call. I ended up going elsewhere because I had an event I needed a cut and style for that weekend. I'd almost forgotten about the Groupons until I got a reminder from my mom that they were expiring soon. I called, left a message, and texted Crystal. She informed me that she was not directly associated with the salon (?) which is apparently why I never got a returned phone call two months before, when I called. I find it hard to understand how individuals who work at a particular salon do not return a phone call from a client who left a message on the salon's main answering machine, but that's neither here nor there.. So, after many texts (and, again, not one phone call) with Crystal, I booked an appointment for myself and one of my employees for both of us to go get a cut on a Friday afternoon. The day before the appointment (Thursday), I received a text from Crystal asking if we would be showing up. Confused, I finally realized there was a miscommunication in her texts to me and she asked us to come in on Thursday, not Friday. I explained that I would've never booked that appointment for Thursday because my office is open until 5:30 on that night and we wouldn't have been able to close early during the week. She informed me that she had no availability on the day I had booked. I asked her to let me know when her next available appointment was. She ceased communication with me. I tried calling several times, with no response. I even went as far as calling from my office phone and having my employee call. After four days, she finally called in and told my employee that she would not honor the Groupons because they were now expired and "she doesn't have to honor expired groupons." She also told my employee that I was a "snippy b*tch on the phone" with her and if I had an issue with losing money on the wasted Groupons, I "can take it up with Groupon." I find it hard to believe that a local business, a few blocks away from my home, would have employees (or booth renters) that would treat anyone, let alone someone who is a center of influence as a local business owner herself, this way. I am absolutely appalled at how we were treated throughout this whole process and, as a result of her actions, lack of communication, and sheer lack of respect for myself and my guest, I will NEVER return to Fortunatos and I will deter anyone I know form giving them business as well.
