One side wasn't even faded in so I had to do that myself. Id recommend if you go there to try for one of the young barbers, cause they barber sure needs some training & needs to calm down & take his time.

What can I say - you take the best barbers in Syracuse, throw them in a swank new shop (complete…read morewith flat screens and sports memorabilia), and throw in some good conversation and you have The Shop. When I found out some of the guys that used to work at the Shoppingtown Barber Shop were starting their own place, I was excited. The new location is beautiful with new chairs, wooden supply areas, and a nice cooler for bottles of water and the like. The guys also started selling their own hair products, and I can happily report their paste hair gel is excellent. Cuts are still $15 which also gets you a warm shave of your neck/ear area. They also offer a beard shave or trimming which I believe costs a little extra. Give these guys a look - they are in the Guitar Center Plaza if you're having trouble finding them based on the address.

So it doesn't save your spot online I even called every time because it doesn't make any sense,,,What kind of garbage software do you guys use for your network? Windows 98? It's absolutely ridiculous that in this world of technology y'all can't come up with an app that actually works and tells time!!!! Even the location part screws up and sends me to Temple Texas!?!? Yeah let's just all take a 1,800 mile road trip because the way the app works we might actually make it there on TIME!!! I liked coming there but it's impossible when my time varys from 20-50 minutes in the matter of seconds because you're app is garbage maybe do us all a favor and clean it up this has been going on for months and I know I'm not the only one to complain about it...and this shouldn't be a poor reflection on the store because everyone there does a great job this is entirely on the corporate or franchise offices for not doing their jobs.... I've been coming there for a long time and now I'm not anymore so thanks for ruining another one of my days off...

I walk in and get sat in a chair immediately, the gentleman asked if I wanted a fade and I told him no I was looking more for a skin cut around the sides and back of my head and keep the top. Think Ranga from Vikings. I actually showed him the picture and he made sure it's what I wanted before he went to work. Although we didn't talk the environment had the proper barber babble, tv and music mix that made it seem lively. Haircut: 10/10, the barber nailed it, took his time, went through to make sure everything was lined up and was as close to skin as possible outside of literally razor shaving it. He even trimmed and lined up my beard as well so it's all a nice smooth haircut and touch up. Price was Beyond reasonable as well. If I'm ever in town and need a cut this will be the first place I lookup for sure.

I sent out a recommendation request through my local FB community page and by far Kasson Road Barber Shop was the overwhelming suggestion. My overall experience was exactly what I was looking for. I will be back, this is now my new local Barber. I'd advise YELPERs to overlook the 2 other reviews and try the place out for yourself and firm your own opinion. Doug gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever received, and I'll be a customer, moving forward. Update: I've been going to see Doug for close to two years now. He immediately knew my hair to a T. Doug is intuitive and observant. My angles and preference are perfectly stored in his muscle memory. He needn't ask me how I like this or how I prefer that. We'll chat instead about pretty much anything. I swear he understands my hair's growth so well that everyday between visits is like a new haircut. He's that good, and my cut seems to grow in proportionately rather than "grow out." His cuts age like wine. It's magic. Westcott has the kind of vibe that can turn my week around in 45 minutes.
