In this scenario faster certainly was not better. As for the nails - ugh. Uneven length and shape and far too thick. I didn't notice how bad they really were until I got home. Honestly I was just trying to smile and get out of there before my face gave away mu total dissatisfaction. Yes, I did see the few prior negative reviews but since they were a few years old, I gave some grace and hoped for staff turn over or training. Apparently not.

I paid the same amount for a pedicure that I would for a full set of acrylic nails…read more I had asked for an acrylic toenail which the person assisting me couldn't help with, so I had to wait for another one of the employees to come make it for me. He seemed to be busy with what looked like a regular. he eventually came to me and didn't even bring his tools with him. He just walked over from the table to the pedicure chair back-and-forth. It seemed rushed, and I wasn't content with the result. Here's what I got and the price. You determine if it was reasonable or not. Classic pedicure $35 Gel nail polish French tips Two acrylic nails $20 Total was $75 for a French tip pedicure. My nails didn't look too pretty. I walked away with foot pain. (For personal reasons). I walked around for a minute, and then realized that my toe was really hurting. When I got home, I went back to look at my pedicure, and my toenail looked damaged. And it bled through the pedicure.

I was going on a trip and needed to have my nails done before I went. I read many reviews on many…read moresalons in town, and settled on Solar based on these reviews. It is most definitely a family ran business. Kids running around, husband also doing nails. Nothing about these things bothered me, it was kind of neat I thought. I read many comments about the cleanliness of the business. There were a few things I personally would have cleaned up a bit more, but nothing that turned me off of the place. The only real complaints I have is they did nothing to sculpt the nails. They were thin and she could have spent more time shaping and smoothing them. I did however experience the one side rounded and the other squared, again this would have been fixed had more time been spent shaping and sculpting the nails. The tops were rough, even after 2 coats of color and a clear coat. Also I am not sure if they understood what I wanted when I asked for narrow nails. One thing that would make me not come back is the heater. Instead of using a UV or LED she had me put my hands in front of a VERY hot blowing heater, to set the acrylic. This was quite painful, and if I do return I will refuse that part. Minimal lifting though, they lasted a full 2 weeks before having to be filled. With a little care when being filled these issues were easily fixed. I also question the price of having to pay a full 10.00 dollars extra, for nails that go past my finger tips, I have never experienced this before. All in all it was not a terrible experience. For the price if you want quick nails, it is not to bad. (Though I still question the price hike.) I think with a little more time spent in the thickness of the acrylic (for strength) and sculpting (for shape) This would be a place I would return to again if I needed a salon.

I HAD A VERY DISAPPOINTING EXPERIENCE AT THIS NAIL SALON. The prices advertised were misleading,…read moreand I was charged significantly more than expected. When I brought this up with Wendy who's the person who did my nails she refused to offer a refund or even acknowledge the issue, especially after I left an honest review. On top of that, the quality of the manicure was unacceptable. The polish was uneven and bumpy, and my cuticles were completely neglected. The cuticles are something that's typically standard with any decent manicure. I left feeling frustrated and like I had wasted my money. I won't be returning, and I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone who values transparency or basic professionalism.
