As soon as I hung up the phone, I received an email confirming the appointment with a click to sync it to my calendar. I received 2 more text messages reminding me of the appointment, the week before and a few days before. I felt like they knew we already. I arrive ontime and Nicole was finishing up a hair consultation. My wait was less than 5 minutes. During my wait, I took in the atmosphere. Clean, Comfortable and with neo-soul playing. It felt like there should be a speak easy in the back room. I was not prepared. I didn't know what hair style I wanted. I explained my habits and desires. Nicole brainstormed with me until we found something that felt right. It was a true hair consultation. Now that she understood my goals, I told her to do whatever she thought was best. I had no idea what color or cut I was going to come out with. But, as I requested she gave me something, professional, colorful and low - maintence. The color was much more than I have ever achieved with SoftSheen-Carson. This was professional! My split ends was gone, dry hair-is now moist, layers and precision describes my blunt cut. Hairdresser did my nails while waiting on color to set. She spoke very highly of her manicures, so…read moreI sap OK. She gave me a gel manicure that she spoke very highly of. It was nice and I was happy. I sent my daughter over for a manicure and she was charged $ 80.00 for a gel manicure. Included in this fee, is supposed to be a hand massage, which my daughter did NOT get. Unfortunately, one of the nails (on this regarded manicure-by Joan) came off either that same day or the next day. My daughter was very upset and called for an appointment to have the nail fixed. She was given an appointment with the woman who specializes in nails and this woman fixed her nail. The manicurist told my daughter that more of the nails were going to fall and she never should have had a gel manicure broker nails are too thin. My daughter was still upset because she paid $ 80.00 for what appeared to be a substandard manicure and called the salon again to complain-she felt she should not have been charged the full 80 dollars. She was told the owner would give her a call to discuss her concerns. This never happened-no one called her. I went back a few weeks later to get my hair done and I did not ask for a manicure. The hairdresser kept making comments about how great her manicures are. She must have given me this message 4-5 times. I didn't respond as it was obvious that she felt like she was right. Apparently, she is in the habit of giving gel manicures to people who shouldn't have them, not accepting any responsibility for a manicure that started falling apart within 24 hours all for the price of 80 dollars. No, I decided to write this review given the response of the hairdresser and the lack of response by the owner. Rather arrogant and egregious behaviour by both. I was happy with hair service, but not even that will get me to EVER go back.

The ladies answering the phone were kind, but I walked in for my consultation and it was not pleasant. A blonde woman sat behind the front desk just asking what I wanted. It felt like a waste of time coming over there when there are many other salons. Salons that would've showed interest by at least sitting me down, showing me colors and touching my hair. I came and got a two minute conversation and told how much it's gonna be. I felt like I was not a valued customer of there and for that, I will not be giving my business.
