Unfortunately, the cost was so expensive, it was not affordable for me to do both at the same time. I tried another stylist, with even better results! I would defiantly recommend Erin-hands down!!!!! She is my number one go to person! I give Erin 5 stars!!! However, the salon charges $$$ to recommend it to fellow workers. I had an appointment scheduled for 5:00 pm with Madelynn, but my service did not begin until about…read more15 minutes later. The hair wash felt rushed and my hair did not feel thoroughly cleaned. During the haircut, I explained that I wanted my long layers to start higher. Midway through the service, the stylist stepped away to attend to another client. When she returned, she quickly finished the cut without checking back in on the layering or confirming how I wanted it styled. There was no offer to curl or style my hair at the end of the appointment. I left feeling disappointed because I expected to walk out with a finished look, not have to go home and do the styling myself. Overall, the experience felt rushed and inattentive, which did not meet my expectations for a professional appointment.

I purchased a Groupon to try a local salon. Tame has pretty good reviews on Facebook, Google, and…read moreYelp, so I thought I'd give it a try. I've never had my hair professionally colored, nor have I been to an American based salon before. Groupon: My groupon consisted of color and cut. When I entered the store, the girl who was going to be working on my hair informed me that if I wanted a balayage that it would cost $30 extra, and for the length of my hair, another $20 (on Groupon they constantly advertise balayage, but there is no mention of the extra costs there). My friend who bought the same groupon said she was not charged extra, which is why I decided to give it a try, but low and behold. You know what, that's fine, I've already bought the groupon and was already sitting down. Experience: I asked for a trim of my long hair and a balayage. Trim: I asked for a basic trim, or about 1 inch off. I assume, easy enough. I'm not asking for something really bizarre? She literally only cuts the TOP portion of my hair and straight cut the rest. It's extremely choppy, jagged, and straight up looks like I asked my 10 year old cousin to do it for me. I didn't even realize it was this bad until I saw it today, which is why I decided to write a review. You might ask, why didn't I notice this in the salon or before? You sit facing AWAY from any mirrors at the salon, which is strange to begin with. I hated the haircut from the beginning and thought it was really bad, but I didn't know how bad it was until my mom pointed it out recently. See below for pictures. Balayage: not great, not terrible. I barely see the new color, but it's very similar to what I previously had. During the time the girl was dying my hair, she asked the owner many questions as to how to correctly balayage, what's the correct technique, how to put foil on, etc. she did not seem like she completely knew what she was doing and this should've been my sign. Sadly, my hair was curled at the end so even when looking in the mirror, it was hard to tell there was any issues. This entire experience makes me wary to try any new places again. Especially anything off of groupon.

Instead, I had a patch of bright yellow bleached hair, bright orange stripes, and no highlights on the back of my head. I had my hair done on the 31st at 5pm and left her salon at 7pm. I saw how my hair looked in my car and freaked out. I called her immediately asking for refund. On the phone, she said she will give me a refund because I didn't trust her to fix my hair again. Then, she texts me within few minutes saying she won't give me a refund because I'm not letting her fix my hair. They way she damaged my hair, I will NOT let you fix my hair. She blocked my number, so I called her with a different number to try and get a refund. She hung up and still doesn't want to give me a refund. Since I left her appointment at 7pm, I went to a different Professional hairstylist to fix the damage. It took 9pm to 12am for the different hairstylist to fix. The professional hairstylist gave me her professional advice that this lady DOES NOT KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HAIR. As a business owner, you did not properly complete your service. My hair was completely BOTCHED. If you want to be a hair stylist, take action for your mistakes. No customer should be treated this way.
