She worked with me to get my cut the perfect fit for my face. She was able to thin it out so it wasn't so poofy and went short in the back. Totally in love with her and all her staff. Very pleased with the cut and wash service I had with Vicky. The staff is very courteous and professional. Premises are clean and welcoming. Vicky listened to what I asked for and made sure she understood before starting. The final product was great: my haircut looked much more fashionable rather than a simple buzz you'd get at a barber shop. I highly recommend! I used to get my hair done in the city but it takes too much time to travel since I have young kids. I found this place and was very happy with the service. If I could give less than 1 stars I would. I have been doing Japanese Straightening for over 15 years and never quite had an experience like this. I first got it done towards the end of July. I was confused that during the middle and especially at the end that they ran a brush through my hair. I have never once had a brush run through my hair at the end when the solution is in and not supposed to be touched for three days. I followed all instructions as per usual. I wash it when I was told and my hair comes out as wavy! I happened to be away so once I returned I called the salon to explain that my hair is not straight. They told me to come in. I went in the beginning of August. They literally redid the Japanese straightening (which after research online is the worst thing they could have done.) They once again ran a brush through the final product solution. Fast forward three days later, my hair is still beyond wavy and I am sure damaged. I have extremely healthy hair that has come out pristinely straight over the years so do not trust this place. When I called again, the salon worker told me that they (the other salon worker) shouldn't have redone my hair with treatment and actually gasped. She then told me to wait until the "professional" (Vicky) comes back from vacation. Does this not imply that whoever worked their temporarily was not trained in the process? Japanese straightening is permanent and so is the damage they caused. What a disgrace. This place has gone downhill since Lindsay left! read more

My scalp felt so invigorated. Kann and her crew did an amazing job. They worked so patiently to ensure my hair came out exactly as I wanted it. And it did! Although I was there for six hours, the time flew by. They were kind, fun, and understanding (I had to take a few work calls during the day and participate in an online meeting). JK (also known as the owner) gave me a trim after the perm was complete, to get rid of some frizzy split-ends. I was impressed! I wanted to give them all hugs on my way out. It was most horrible experience ever in hair salon! My friend recommended this place for me. So i was quite excited before I visit there. I paid $203 for straightening on Groupon. But When I mentioned about the groupon they seemed really disappointed. I kind of understand it but they didn't need to treat me like that horrible. If you don't prefer to have customers from Groupon, please don't advertise there! And the top of that my hair didn't even came out great which was very upset me. I definitely wouldn't go there again. I purchased a voucher from Groupon. I made an appointment for keratin treatment the same week. Roy was spectacular. He was very informative about the treatment and my hair type. He cut about 4 inches from my hair and did an amazing job. My hair is no longer frizzy. It used to take me over an hour straightening my hair. It now takes about 15minutes. I highly recommend this place (especially Roy) if you're looking to get a haircut and Keratin treatment. He's a very nice guy and does a great job. read more

I had the Korean straitening done today. The whole staff was very friendly, warm & welcoming, and I worked primarily with Kahn. She was very nice & professional & explained everything that she was doing step by step. She also answered all of my questions. My hair turned out silky, smooth & straight! So...I live in the neighborhood and needed a Keratin treatment and decided to give this salon a shot based on the great reviews. I have always gone to Queens but why not support our local businesses right? Well, I walked in today, not to have the treatment done, just to ask some questions (after all my mother is a retired hair dresser with over forty years of experience, so I better do my due diligence before turning my mane over to just anyone). I was happily greeted by 2 employees, the owner/manager however, was applying hair dye to the only customer in the salon. My question was not directed at her as she was busy but nonetheless, she began to answer my questions while continuing to apply hair dye. She was very snobby with curt responses ( I mean how dare I ask questions about a costly process that if done wrong can make your hair fall out). Meanwhile, in the chair, was a customer who was obviously bothered by my questions & making faces the whole time. So I addressed her and apologized for the inconvenience with a touch of sarcasm of course and she plainly told me to "shut the f*@k up". Very classy and a poor representation of the people who live in the neighborhood. The owner was shocked & did scold her a little (you know, the gentle way you "scold" your 2 year old). I don't know...was it the "full-time working, getting things done, mom" attire that gave you both the sense of entitlement to treat an individual this way? Don't know, don't care anymore.
