The atmosphere is friendly. If you don't feel like family when you leave, something is wrong with you. Not all Supercuts are the same, however. The one in Boca Raton, Florida was full of tension and drama between the workers. The manager wasn't the least bit friendly. I got an earful of the problems from one of the staff AFTER I sat down. Oh well! Rather unprofessional. So anyway, while in NJ, this salon is my go to place.

First their website has bios for all the stylist to help you choose the one that is right for your needs. I chose Kathie. Next was the phone call which can be a clear sign of the attitude of a salon. The person that I spoke with answered all my questions, was courteous, and accommodating. My appointment with Kathie was great. She asked questions, listened to my concerns, looked at the pictures I brought, and gave me her recommendations. She got to work with my color, followed by a razor cut, my first and it was so cool. She finished with a blow dry & style. She taught me how to style it and recommended the types of products I should use BUT she wasn't trying to push products on me, which I hate. My color looks amazing & my cut is cute, sexy, & edgy. I would DEFINITELY recommend this salon and give it a 5+ rating! BTW hubby LOVED it and said "You look beautiful & It's my favorite color and cut you've had since you went short" Now that says it all, LOL.

She listened to my newbie virgin hair worries and answered all of my questions without making me feel silly. I showed her two pictures of what I liked and she nailed it. Hair and dye/bleach are unpredictable as it is, but she was somehow able to "get" what I wanted and make it happen. In addition to being a incredibly skilled at her craft, she was an all-around nice person. I was the second to last client to leave and she did not rush me or make me feel rushed whatsoever. Other staff members were also friendly and kind - even as they were closing for the evening. It seemed as though many of the stylists here had clients who were regulars which really gave me confidence that I made the right decision.
