A friend of mine mentioned Alex and I made an appointment right away. She sent me emails to remind me it was coming up, and I didn't even have to leave home. Her traveling salon is absoluely GORGEOUS! It's comfy and feels like hanging out in a little airBnB, plus she has refreshments! Her salon chair is super plush and professional - the whole experience felt VIP at a VERY reasonable price, and I cant wait for my next haircut! Alex also gave me great tips on how to style my naturally wavy/curly hair. She sells the products she uses and I bought some great stuff. I LOVE my haircut! The salon is gorgeous, and very welcoming. Jedidah recommended me to his assistant, Hales. She is still training and had Jedidah overseeing her work. I have babyfine curly/frizzy hair, that I style lightly. I had asked for a haircut that requires hair I don't have, and they were very kind about my admittance that I know basically nothing about hair, or what is realistic to ask for. (I attached my inspo so you can laugh with me, too) We worked collaboratively to choose a style that would move well and provide life and body, while planning for my goal cut. The bottom layers sit almost exactly below the top layering until stretched, showing they have a good understanding of how to cut curly hair. The team is careful to plan your cut around your established routine, to provide the best results in your daily experience. These photos are unstyled. I will update my review with styled photos when I have them. Next up, lots of layers around the face- and I know exactly where I'll go to get them!

It was approved until the week before where it was cancelled by the salon. They had scheduling issues, totally get it. Instead of saying it was THEIR scheduling issue and giving me options to book another appointment, they recommended a different salon in Bothell. I live in auburn, so Seattle was already a drive but I wanted the good quality for my curls. I believe the email said I could reach out if I wanted to "but it would be a long wait" which to me hints don't bother so I didn't. No hate to the salon, this was just my experience. And since I was so excited to work with people who understand curls and I was ready to get to dying my hair, the last minute cancellation and then no offer to rebook even though it wasn't my fault were my reasons for the stars. Well one star is cause everyone else gave 5 and I don't wanna bring down the rating. The 1 star is all I'd give.
