Extremely frustrating experience. She didn't want to cut my hair more than a couple of inches even when I asked for more she told me no. She used products without asking me first and then charged me for them. She said the cut, wash, and style would be one price and then charged me almost double because she said my hair was long. The shop is cute and parking is easy. Eleni is very friendly, but a bit loud for my personality, which she didn't read well. She engaged the other customer in our conversation with that other client giving advice on my cut. Eleni had ideas for how to cut my hair and I kept saying it wouldn't work for my straight hair. I just wanted a bob. She cut it stacked in the back and longer in the front, and a huge chunk missing out of the back. It was uneven and a hacked mess. I've evened it out, but I can't fix it without going back to a pixie. I've tried three hair places in/around Concord, Hopkinton, Warner area and have yet to find anyone who knows how to cut fine, straight hair except a barber. When I first met Eleni, she gave me a room through Airbnb. At first I thought she was a fairly nice person... Turns out she's one of the most racist and disrespectful people I've ever met! As a black man, she's told me a handful of racist remarks. "These people can see your color, so be careful" was something she's said to me months ago while I stayed in the Airbnb. Even my roommate Jackie (an Asian man) has dealt with her racism when she told him "I know you like to cooky cooky but you have to cleany cleany" in a stereotypical Asian accent after finding the kitchen a bit dirty on his end of the building. Despite all of this I tried giving her another chance. So yesterday I asked if I can rent out a room for a couple of months. She agreed and wanted to meet up to discuss the payment plan, so I went with my friend Sierra. Unfortunately I didn't have enough for the security deposit, so I couldn't rent out the room. However, she felt I was wasting her time and as a response she says "You're the second African-American I had to deal with today." She then continues on, comparing me to the African-American she's referring to who has nothing to do with me. I respond "What does my race have to do with this?" And she repeats "Because your the second African-American I had to deal with," implying that she's sick of black people in general. "Why dont you buy a tent a live in the woods" was another disrespectful remark said by Eleni. She then goes on to say that I'm an immigrant, which is completely disrespectful considering that I was BORN and RAISED in this country. As you can imagine, myself and Sierra were appalled by her comments and so I confronted her about her racism. Her response, "Oh yeah, I'm racist... I'm Greek, buddy. I worked my ass off. If I were you I'd get a job and and stop being lazy." Again, another false sentiment when I was in fact working a job. It's sad that in the year 2022 people like this still exist in the world and think they're above someone else just because of their background. I hope she one day finds the error in her ways and stops generalising a group of people as if they all act the same... If she thought I was wasting her time all she had to say was "Im sorry I can't give you the room since you don't have the money." But instead she decided to spew as much racist and ignorant comments as possible based off her closed-mindedness and stupidity. She needs to be held accountable. -Michael read more

Hello, so I wanted to write to second my friend Michaels experience as I was there with him. It started out with us going in the salon. I had a bit of previous experience with Eleni, as Michael was a tenant of her Airbnb for a whole month maybe a bit longer. I should've known something like this could happen because the first time I called her she was getting angry and upset that there wasn't enough bubbles coming out when she went through the car wash and she should get to go again for free. Which I heard the employee saying she can't do that and their angry exchange in which she eventually left then got on the phone with me acting as if that's normal. Besides that, the times I went to help him out she was almost always late and one time she didn't show up at all. I can forgive that, but I can't forgive the comments and rudeness and ignorance she decided to display this time. Inside she was quite friendly at first and gave Michael a form as I waited sitting. Michael filled it out, gave it to her. Then they started talking about details. At that time I sort of felt like he might not be able to get the rent because of the deposit situation, but I thought the worst that could happen is she just says no. We did not go into that situation just to waste her time, I mean why would we? Michael needed housing. But it seems like once she realized he didn't have enough money she just started to go off on an ignorant tangent. She started off by saying that we've wasted her time and she wasted ours, and that he's the second African American man to do something like this today, and how the other guy didn't pay rent didn't want to get a job and didn't want to leave when he asked her to. Then she went on to say that if he really has no money and if she was in his position she would get two jobs or more and actually work. That she as an immigrant worked so hard to get to where she is. Also saying he's an immigrant which he's not, implying that he's also lazy and won't work when he just literally got a job. And If he doesn't have the money to go up the street to a share house, a homeless shelter, or go get a tent a live in the woods. She also implied earlier on when I stood up to go get my phone which has my money, she stopped me by saying no If I think I'm gonna go out and get my money to help him. He's a man he should do it himself. She told me to find a better man one that's not lazy. We're not dating we also told her that, he's my best friend. That I as a woman shouldn't be helping him like that. Then immediately even when we didn't respond she told us to now get out as if we did something wrong. Then Michael asked what does my race have anything to do with it? And called her racist which you can read her response in his review but she said I'm Greek and oh well. As soon as she knew he wasn't going to be her client anymore she decided it was ok to take her frustrations out on us. By way of making ignorant, sexist, racist comments. She decided that we've wasted her time and that's enough to warrant yelling at us and kicking us out in a rude manor. Then she also had the nerve after all that when we left to stick her head out and call me darling and ask if I was going to move my car, which I was headed towards as if she didn't just make all those comments. That whole experience was disgusting and she should be so ashamed of herself. I don't care how frustrated you are at other patrons, but he is not them. You don't get to just spew out your anger at people who literally did nothing but waste 5-8 minutes of your time? We met you at your workplace and arrived on time. We were kind and quiet. All she had to say was I'm sorry I can't give you a room for that price. We would've left easily no problems. We didn't say anything to her, we complied, we answered her questions simply. We never tried to coerce her or scam her or whatever she thought we were trying to do. We literally simply answered her questions and didn't say more than that. And that's how she decided to treat us. No one should ever be treated like that. It was completely unnecessary and ignorant for her to make assumptions and decide she gets to yell at Michael for shortcomings that are not even his, and to also tell me how and what I should do to support my best friend. So yeah, I can't forgive this Eleni. I left a message on your voice mail and if she sees this review. You should be so ashamed of yourself. It's not your responsibility to provide housing for less than you want/need. But It is your responsibility to be cordial in business settings, especially when not provoked. Especially to people who go were nothing but kind to you. You probably thought that we were unassuming and that you'd get away with it. The fact that you think any of your disgusting behavior was acceptable or deserved just shows your true character. read more

I had heard about this place from a friend that lives in Concord I usually frequent a barber located near Hooksett but since I was in the area I figured what the heck At at first i noticed the decor and the pastries yes pastries which i was not really used too and I was thinking maybe it was strictly for women but upon meeting the hairdresser /owner I was pleasantly surprised I think she probably figured I was a little hesitant but after chatting a little bit she quickly figured out what I needed and i was pretty comfortable She was very nice and personable even with multiple customers and the phone ringing I usually hack my side burns up pretty bad she did an awesome job with them and losing a little hair on top of you know what I mean she corrected that as well without looking obvious that I'm balding on top I felt really comfortable and the price was great certainly not what I had expected Overall I loved and do plan on going back again If you do find your in Concord and need a cut this is the place !!!! read more

I stopped by this lovely salon between meetings and asked Eleni for a short cut to tame my very unruly curls. Well she did even better with a Brazilian Keratin Straightening treatment and had it done in no time. No need to even trim the ends! My hair is no longer full or snarls and near dreads, not only did I not need a trim after this, its now twice as long as it was with the curls gone . Even on a day where I am wearing sweats and no makeup I have been getting TONS of compliments from everyone I run into! Even my picky daughters who don't like anything love it! And you know what... its SHINY and healthy looking which is near impossible for a lupus patient (between the lupus and the meds it kills your hair). Eleni, thank you for making me feel beautiful again and giving me a look that is so healthy. You got a forever customer in me. read more

This was the worst experience I have had in Concord ever- and I have lived here 25 years. My regular hair dresser is no longer and I took the advice from an acquaintance to go here. It should have been a sign that I could get an appt right away and no one else was there. I went on Friday 8/14/15. The owner Eleni did my hair. The cut is fine- the color however is YELLOW with blotches. She attempted to fix it once but putting bleach strands at the top. I was out of time at this point as I got there at 2 and now it was 4:30. She said you can come back on Tuesday and I can attempt to touch it up again. I honestly didn't know what to think- I had never had a bad color, cap or foil EVER. I was actually in shock- I did like the hair cut. Regrettably, I paid, that is the honorable thing to do- especially when she is willing to fix it. But later that evening after the horrifying comments I got from honest friends and stopping by two other salons for feedback, all agreed this was terrible. Early this morning 8/15/15 I called and left a vm stating I am really upset by the outcome and that I would be going for another consult this am and that I would pay for the hair but, but that I hoped she would do the honorable good business deep of refunding my $ for the bad color- especially since I was now going to have to go get it fixed. I didn't want to go back, after two attempts, I lost faith in her ability. The new hairdresser said "come on in" I will take a look and use a toner if needed. I went in- after receiving a vm from Eleni. The new hairdresser said a toner will not fix this. She took pics, she said the only way to fix it is for Eleni to foil it. New hairdresser said she would have to schedule this as it would take two hours. She said, call back Eleni and see if she will correct it with foils. Any decent hair dresser would do so. Well I called her right there- all the hair dresses could her her rudeness to me on the phone . She would not fix it, she said she did a great job and that she even has me on camera! Which is good, because it will show what she did and her attempts to fix it. She said I could go elsewhere to get it foiled, but no way would she do this. I couldn't get a word in edgewise. She began to yell at me and hung up. I too have photos and will be using them when I contact state board this week. I would post them here, but I do not see an option. She was extremely rude and should not be coloring hair. Bad business and I hope all read this. I do not want anyone to experience this. We spend good money for a good service- and we should get what we pay for, I did not and now have to pay a decent repeatable person to fix Eleni's mess. read more
