Next to Publix off Post, I asked for a trim, only the bottom in the back, don't touch the sides or the top or front, 5 minute trim, shave neck, washed my hair without asking if I wanted, don't know if this is extra added fee, should have explained and asked, $31 for 5 minute trim, next time I will make an appointment at a more upscale hair salon, I know they can adjust pricing when they want to but they didn't, doesn't make me want to come back read more

I had a haircut appointment yesterday at Hair Cuttery as the one that I usually go to is currently closed. I was very impressed with their safety measures. Everyone is required to wear a mask when you walk in you have your temperature taken and you have some hand sanitizer given to you. So I felt very comfortable coming in for my haircut you do need to make an appointment I assume so that they can make sure not to become overcrowded but that is very easy and you can absolutely get same-day appointments probably even same hour appointments. So honestly it's very very similar to walking in you just check in online first. Now on to the actual haircut. John did my hair and I showed him a picture went into a little bit of detail he asked me a couple questions to make sure that both of us were on the same page and then completely and totally imitated exactly what the picture showed the Last Detail. I mean my hair is a carbon copy of the lady whose picture I showed and said this is what I want. That is impressive but it is something that I am used to getting at Hair Cuttery. Every stylist I have ever had at Hair Cuttery has managed to look at one or two pictures clarify lengths and a couple details and then magically reproducing it strand by strand. I couldn't recommend Hair Cuttery more in general as these are experiences that I am accustomed to at this salon regardless of which individual Salon I go to Under The Hair Cuttery brand. That being said this location was very well maintained everything was spotlessly clean the individual there were friendly and professional but also not snooty or uptight. I highly recommend Hair Cuttery in general and I go even further as far as this location and John. I have a bit of anxiety and in general I do get a little anxious getting my hair done but I didn't feel that way yesterday there's just something about the aura or the atmosphere that is just very calming and relaxing as a salon should be. She went right to work calming my nerves and creating a plan of action. I left with a really cute cut, helpful styling tips and some fun new products to try. Review edit: During my review, I failed to mention that Christy B. did a fabulous job on my cut and color. She's a nice lady who tries her best to follow your instructions about what you want even though she was correcting an already bad hair cut. Kudos, Christy! Also, I received a follow-up call about my review, which was important. It meant someone over there cared enough to ask about the situation and find a resolution regarding lack of communication, etc. I appreciated that. Original review: I don't know what has happened to Hair Cuttery (or was it always bad?). I went in for a color and trim and it took several hours. My stylist had a big job ahead of mine, but would it have killed the stylists just sitting around doing nothing to rinse my hair while I was on deck? And I was still charged $77 even though it wasn't my fault it took so long to finish me. And has it occurred to the stylists that the way they present themselves is an indicator of their skills? Long, stringy hair tied back with a scrunchy or slovenly grooming and dress is bad advertising and just plain lazy. There were maybe three stylists who actually presented themselves like they cared. Show some pride in your business and yourselves and treat your clients better, or you may be the last place anyone goes to get their hair done. Just sayin'. read more

Had an appointment scheduled, I arrived early but still had to wait almost 20 minutes pass my appointment time. Wanted a simple layered Bob with curtain bangs. Pretty much left with a shaggy mullet - stylist was nice enough but super pushy on products and scheduling an appointment for a color. I just moved here and like to know someone before they color my hair. Not impressed with the cut at all. Paid over $60 for something that I went elsewhere to have fixed. The sad thing is the stylist was so excited about the way my hair turned out, I didn't have the heart to tell her how awful it was. I honestly wouldn't even go here for a trim. read more

I would give a minus star if I could. My story : made an appointment , nice young lady with blue hair cut my hair. Made another appointment with her. The day of the appointment I checked in only to find that she was off that day; even though SHE made the appointment. Christy stepped in and took care of me so I made my next appointment with her. I arrived and waited and waited; being totally ignored until I finally asked how long she would be. Guess what. She had gone home. Then Tonya stepped in and introduced herself as the manager. She cut my hair that day and two subsequent times. The last appointment with her , she acted like it was an imposition, huffing and puffing and acting like she couldn't get me out quickly enough. Then when my hair dried, it was a disaster. Uneven cut and one side longer than the other. This place may have inexpensive hair services but do yourself a favor and spend a little more at a salon that actually honors appointments and has stylists who know what they're doing. read more

This place is the worst. People came in and didn't even greet them . They had problems with the register and the person that was supposed to help was lazy and not worried about helping people standing there waiting for a long time . I do not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I had an appointment and one of the 3 stylists checked me in a few minutes before scheduled time. After sitting there for 30 minutes another stylist asked me if I had an appointment and if I made it online. She confirmed the appointment and then blamed the system for booking me because she was busy doing a color although she was actually working on two customers, she had finished the color and then started on a second customer while I waited. She then asked another stylist to see if he could fit me in. I watched this stylist give a little boy a haircut, a very detailed 30 minute cut. He cut my hair in 15 minutes and was ushering me out the door. He washed my hair but never dried it or did any follow up. I had to buy some product that was added to my bill. I placed my credit card in the reader and was asked if I wanted to leave a tip, I added 20%. I was then given wrong receipt and noticed the one I received was not itemized and the tip was added to the cut and the product. I have been going to this location for a couple of years, my wife cut my hair while I waited for them to reopen during the pandemic. A few of the staff including the manager has left this salon, they have sen me messages to join them at their new place of business. I was trying to be loyal and waited for Hair Cuttery to re-open. They appear to lack management, lack and concept of appointments and overall forgot what customer service is all about. No apologies for making me wait and pushing me out the door with a wet head of hair. read more

GO TO ARLIECE! She is the best hair dresser I've ever had in all of my 23 years. I have been going to her for over a year now and only once was I not completely happy (I got blonde highlights - full foils - and after she colored my hair and I got home I realized she didn't give me as much blonde as I had wanted. I called her the next day and told her and she had me come back in and added more highlights at no extra charge and I left completely satisfied and happy that she gave me exactly what I wanted). I have been going back to her for my blonde highlights, which she gets just right so that the color looks completely natural, and for all of my haircuts. I have never had a haircut before that I have absolutely loved until I went to her. I didn't even have to tell her what to do, she just gave me a cut and it was amazing! I just recently went in and had a more drastic change, explained what I wanted, and she gave me just that and more! I can't say it enough - GO TO ARLIECE! read more
