I have not been to a Hair Cuttery in years. I went here cause I wasn't thrilled with my previous hair dresser. I couldn't be happier with Hair Cuttery! Alyssa took her time with my hair. She fixed it! Apparently the layers were uneven. She talked to me about it, and my hair looks great! I'm very happy with it. Also, the store was very clean. Please read.... WARNING: if you are a guy DO NOT GO HERE please don't i'm warning you I went here for a haircut because i needed one and im out of town. I asked for a simple low taper and nothing off the top. the barber says "oh that's a tough one" and then proceeds to drop my phone on the ground looking at the picture and then please tell me why when i asked for nothing off the top she basically gave me a buzz cut. She was like oh I love ur curls then proceeds to cut all my curls and hair off. it was so bad i just had to tell her to stop mid way. Also it was two barbers working on my hair. TWO. absolutely terrible. This is the worst haircut job i have received in my life.. attached is my hair before the hair cut and after the hair cut. I am so upset.. ALSO LETS MENTION THE FACT online it said 14 bucks for haircut but she charged us 30!!! wtf i am so pissed. I brought my daughter in to have her hair colored for the first time (she is 13) when I tell you that we were blown away by Sasharae...we were BLOWN AWAY!! She took her time, made sure that my daughter loved her hair and was just fantastic. I have been to a lot of stylist in the past, but this girl is TOP NOTCH!!!! I had the worse experience here and it was because of the stylist I had. She never introduced herself, so I can't even tell you her name! She was an older (50ish looking), thin, short hair, black woman. Upon entering, I was greeted with a friendly stylist who was not the one who did my hair. I made an online appointment for 12:15pm. She finished an appointment before mine at exactly 12:15pm. I didn't mind, but she saw me waiting and spent another 10 mins talking to that client while checking her out. Afterwards, briefly greeted me but it was obvious she did not want to cut my hair. I did choose the first available stylist and I understand that it was lunchtime. But, why would Hair Cuttery make that time slot available if they don't want to serve clients then? Back to the story, I showed her a picture of the hair cut I wanted and she just briefly looked at it. Then she told me, not ask for me to go and sit at the hair wash station. This was the point where I should've left, but I really wanted my hair cut. Again, she made me wait to go clean up her station. She came back and I had to make small talk and showed her the exact hair cut I wanted (a long bob). She went on to say it won't be exactly like that. What? It's a bob and I have simple wavy here. She was just rude. I understand that it'll be different, but she just had that " I know best attitude". I should've left then, but unfortunately stayed. Next, I showed her the hair again and emphasize that I wanted a long bob with the front longer. She went on ahead and gave me a short bob. I was livid but still kept my calm. However, this is exactly what they mean when they say "You get what you pay for." This lady was also complaining when I checked out about a coupon I used. She was just terrible. Went here for the first time today! Wait time was fairly long - given it was a Saturday, but worth the wait! Melanie cut my hair (4-5 inches) and gave me a deep condition too! My hair feels so soft now! I love my new hair length now. Giving it 4/5 stars because I wasn't informed I was going to be charged an extra $10 as a "long hair" fee until checking out. read more

I had my hair done about 2 weeks ago the color wanted was a redish color but I did not even get close to the color I wanted the color the girl gave me looks more like orange. when I was ready for a cut I told the girl that I wanted a trim to my shoulders she kept chopping at my hair and by the time she was done it was cut up to my neck so as I was not happy I cried when I got home and in stead of being there for an hour and 20 minutes I was there for 3 1/2 hours and to top it off she charged me $233.00 so when I asked her why so high she told me that it was for a full foil and I don't think she used foils I this she just painted the color on my hair. not a happy customer and I will never go there again. read more

I went in to hair cuttery tonight to get curtain bangs some light layering towards my face and JUST A TRIM off the ends. She ended up cutting my bangs basically straight across. She did layering towards my face BUT MY WHOLE HEAD the layers are blunt and i look so ugly. i thought I liked it in the salon but what I got home and got to actually look at what she did I had a mental break down. I'm 6months pregnant and went in to feel better for myself and now I have to figure out a way to hide what happened. I look terrible. THIS PLACE SUCKS! manager Very rude!! I had went in for a full head foil and afterwards it wasn't fully blonde like I had asked. I went to a different hairdresser previously who had told me if a hairdresser says they can't get you fully to blonde at once their lying! They told me they couldn't and I could come back when a manger was in to get it redone. When I went in TODAY they told me they couldn't give me a full head of foil like they previously told me. manager had very bad attitude and told me all she could do was 4-5 foils and it would lighten me up a little. Never again!! 6 1/2 hours I spent there with my 2 daughters!! Uneven hair trims and the worst "ombré" hair coloring ever!! After 1 week of color in their hair... the color is STILL bleeding out like it was the 1st wash!! Leaves my hands blue every time. My girls left with coloring all over their faces, neck and hands. The stylists Fingerprints were left on areas of their hair too. Soooo disappointing... And how do you argue all these issues with your young daughters sitting there with this unprofessional hair coloring and cut??!! I went to Hair Cuttery for a trim. I am 15 years old so you can imagine my hair means a lot to me. My hair was pretty much down to my butt, and I have a typically long torso considering I'm 5'10. My hair is now barely reaches the bottom of my breast. I'd say a solid 6 inches was taken off. She was cutting behind me so I couldn't see how much was taken off. I immediately saw it and started tearing up. My mom and I called the store to complain and they showed no interest in caring. read more

First time I walked into that place, was greeted and helped by the receptionist but the stylist I had seemed like she was overall in a bad mood and when I told her how I wanted my hair, continued to question and give opinions of what she wanted to do with it...for what little cut I did get it was WAY overpriced for what was done when I could of got the cut down for $10 cheaper at cutters corner, even after tipping the woman she didn't seem appreciative. I've tried to come here as a walk-in twice now after calling beforehand and being told there is no wait. I live 5 minutes away and each time I walk in, it's crowded. Then I am told the wait is 20 or more minutes. I left without a cut and will not return again, primarily because it was obvious they misled me on the phone. Bad business practice. read more

I got my hair cut by Michelle and she gave me exactly what I wanted! I was nervous going in because I'd had a recent bad experience at a more expensive salon (and some other bad experiences in the past), and I was trying something a little new and having the side of my head shaved, but Michelle totally rocked it! I couldn't be happier. I will definitely be going back to her and the price was incredible! It was $18 for a shampoo and cut (no blow dry). So happy to have finally found a place nearby for a great, cheap haircut. read more
