I am writing this review because the stylist completely ruined my daughter's graduation day. My daughter, who is 11 years old, was graduating from elementary school today, and her hair appointment was scheduled for 4:00 PM. The appointment was canceled after 45 minutes of waiting. We arrived at 4:04 PM and were told the stylist was running about 20 minutes behind because she was still working on another customer. We waited patiently, but the delay became more than 30 minutes. Another stylist even approached us and asked, "How can I help you?" However, the stylist assigned to us interrupted and said we were her clients and that she was "almost done," preventing the other stylist from helping us. I clearly explained that we needed to leave within 30 minutes because my daughter's graduation party had already been planned and booked. Despite this, the stylist continued to ignore us and made no effort to accommodate the situation. After waiting even longer, I finally asked, "How much longer do we need to wait?" At that point, the stylist abruptly canceled our appointment and accused us of "checking your phone too much." She also claimed that my daughter "hopped into my working area" and called her behavior "disturbing." My daughter had simply been standing quietly beside me reading her Kindle for over 30 minutes while we waited. No one even offered us a seat, despite multiple empty chairs being available throughout the salon. This experience was completely unprofessional and unacceptable. The stylist verbally attacked my child and ruined an important and special day for our family. We will be requesting CCTV footage to verify these false accusations and are prepared to pursue further action regarding the verbal mistreatment of my child. When I asked to speak with the manager, the stylist responded, "I am the manager. You can Google HR. You can't sue me." She stated her name was Jayd. I got a terrible haircut mostly the fade. They have no idea how to do a fade.It's like your hair got confused halfway through and decided to change direction. One side's trying to do a mid-fade, the other gave up entirely and went straight to skin. The back looks like they used a butter knife and some hope. My daughter went in for a balayage hair style and a trim it was the most horrible experience for my daughter first time color and cut she is literally traumatized of how her hair turned out. It seems as if she only dyed the scalp no color on the bottom the cut we asked her to only cut 2 inches she messed it up and kept cutting till she took out 6 inches still was uneven and all she said was will it is what it is sorry And tried to blame it on my daughter hair type. Make sure you don't do your hair with anyone name Michelle horrible stylist. Not a pro and $200 for what ? What hair stylist dyes fresh hair in only 30 minutes. Horrible service from Adela. Very nice woman, however she acted like she didn't want to be there. She and the assistant manager (Olivia or Lydia, I think) complained the entire time about hours, closing early, lack of good pay, seemed like they didn't want me there and rushed me. I came in for highlights, wanted peekaboo pink highlights, and told her as such. I already had tracks from where the original ones were, I just wanted her to redo them. Instead they did full foils, then got mad at me when my hair pulled green and red from previous color jobs (which I disclosed up front during consult). I had asked for color picked a mix of 2, but she ended up giving me a toner instead which now gives my hair a deep purple look. She told me that it would wash out in 2 washes, but it won't. Toner doesn't wash out for weeks. Got home and looked more closely at my hair, she didn't even get the toner on the underside of my hair. She left out a huge chunk in the back, so it's my natural blonde color. Honestly, I wish I never went to her. Now I can't do anything because she bleached my hair so much. I hate how much she didn't listen, after I specifically told her multiple times what I wanted. She did not want to be there, complained of multiple walk-ins, complained of her pay and hours, and refused to listen to what I wanted. I am honestly shocked I paid for the service, since it's nothing like what I wanted. I wish I could get this fixed or get a refund. I paid $75 for this and it's not what I wanted. I never want to go back to her. *UPDATE* It's been 2 weeks since I left this review, and I filled out the online complaint form as requested, and I still have not heard back. Horrible customer service. I am currently on vacation and if there was any doubt about my hair being purple.... My hair stained the white hotel towels purple. Thanks HC... Stylists are deceitful. They will tell u that you need this and you need that. Lydia wanted $200 for services when all I wanted & needed was partial highlights & haircut. I walked out of there yesterday. Wasted my time trying to tell me what I needed but stated I will do it tho (just highlights) still if you want? This salon lost me as a customer. My last trip here ended in disaster, followed in quick succession in disaster for my sister and my dad. We have been going here for 5 years and the service used to be fantastic. A stylist gave my dad a cut with clippers, right after he had told her 3 times to use scissors to cut his hair. My sister went in for a trim and came out with hair nearly 4 inches shorter than she went in with. I came home with highlights so sloppily done that I had to go get them fixed the next day. If you get a good stylist here you are not bad off, but these days it seems to be Russian roulette with the stylists. read more

Although the stylists seem to come and go here a bit more frequently than normal salons, I have always walked out their doors very happy, even if it wasn't with my usual stylist. I'm not sure if all Hair Cuttery's are as reliably good as this one, but I have been using it for over 2 years now. Prices are good, although not rock-bottom cheap as you might think from a chain. Be aware though that they charge for everything - a cut by itself is very inexpensive, but hair drying, flat ironing, etc. adds to the price - but it's still a pretty good deal. I've got super thick hair which takes a long time to get through (usually more time than stylists plan for), but I've never felt like the stylist rushed to get me out the door to get more clients in. This places seems to be a lot busier as of late - maybe because of the economy more people are trying it. You never need an appointment, but I would definitely make one if you plan on coming on a weekend. I saw the place go to an hour wait within 15 minutes of opening the last Saturday that I was there (although, luckily I had an appointment). I never really meant for this place to be my permanent hair salon, but when I moved up here and didn't know where to go and just wanted a quick cut (that wasn't too expensive since money was tight with the move), I tried it out. But when I walked out with what easily my favorite cut ever, I kept coming back and make no apologizes that this chain is now my new usual place to get a cut. read more

Made an appointment for my daughter for a cut and highlights. I booked on line for a package costing $135. I thought this was a little pricey for a value salon but my daughter wanted same day so I made the appointment. I dropped her off and received a call 10 minutes later saying they were charging her $215. I pay way less than than for a cut and color at a high end salon. For a salon considered a value priced salon I was shocked. She felt they were being very rude to her as they were speaking another language around her and felt like they were talking badly about her. When I need a trim to get me through, I go here. The girls are all very nice and do a good job. I prefer to go elsewhere for color and major cuts, from prior horrific (not from this place though)cuts I've gotten. But I see lots of others have had quality results. Its an extra charge to get your hair dried, so if its warm, I usually opt out. Usually not too long of a wait when you go in too, which is nice. read more

I came in for a much needed haircut on a friday afternoon. It was busy, but an employee took me right away. I am VERY particular about my hair, but I needed a haircut for an event I was going to that night. I went in, nervous, but Stacey was very pleasant and nice to talk to and she gave me a fabulous hair cut. The other employee, Stephanie, was also very friendly and nice. Stacey did a FABULOUS job, and I want to go back to get my hair dyed. Would not at all recommend for Men haircuts! I've tried them a couple times, and never felt good afterwards. When I ask them to use only scissors, they always put on a 'pouty face,' like I should feel bad for not wanting to get an all-clipper cut. Afterwards, it feels like my hair has been hacked through rather than styled. I don't ask too much either, just a 'shorter version of what it is now.' I walked in just before 5 p.m. on a Saturday to get my son's hair cut. The woman who greeted us said, "10 maybe 15 minutes". After over 50 minutes of waiting, we walked out. There were 5 stylists there at first. 3 Stylists left while we waited, one was with a highlight, the remaining stylist worked on one person the whole time, starting before we even got there. After I thought she was finally done, she took another 15 minutes to explain, in detail, every product and how to use it. Then it took her over 5 minutes to attempt to check her out. I've never had a bad hair cut here. The entire staff is wonderful. Plus they're very polite even after I've attempted to trim my own hair and they have to fix my destruction. They don't burst out into laughter. Although I'd deserve it if they did. There is one male stylist (I can't recall his name, but he's the only man there) who is especially good.
