I am extremely disappointed with our experience. My young son left his haircut with multiple cuts and abrasions across the back of his neck and behind his ears. A haircut should never result in a child leaving injured. The area was visibly red and irritated when we got home, and it was obvious the clippers had been used far too aggressively. As a parent, it's upsetting to trust someone with your child only to have them come home in pain. This wasn't just a less-than-perfect haircut--it was a lack of care and attention to basic safety. I have photos documenting the injuries and hope management takes this seriously, addresses it with the stylist, and ensures this doesn't happen to another customer. UPDATE: I went back to the salon today, and a different stylist, Kate, was truly lovely and made every effort to transform the cut I hated into one that I can absolutely live with. I am so appreciative of her time, patience, and understanding. I will book appointments with her in the future. - - - - - In the past, I've had decent experiences with haircuts at this location. This weekend, I was given a haircut that is so far from what I asked for that I went home and cried. My request: a bob falling between chin and shoulder length, open to the back being a bit shorter. I expressed that I wanted to be able to pull most of the front back into a hair tie for working out. The stylist I saw noticed my hair has some wave/curl in the back and asked if I ever leave it natural. I said I do not because I'm not confident in my ability to style it like that. I left with a layered cut, none of which can be put in a pony tail. Everything is above chin length. I had my glasses removed and didn't see how short she had cut it until it was too late. She styled it curly and told me it was the best option, despite having explained it's not how I feel comfortable styling it. I was devastated by the time I got home and attempted to blow dry it the way I normally style my hair to see if I could come to terms with it and it's even WORSE that way - the cut looks like three distinct steps and the back is different lengths on the left and right sides. I am going to have to go elsewhere and pay more money to get the cut cleaned up into something workable, though that will surely mean going even shorter. read more

So I got here because my stylist is opening his own salon and I was way overdue for a haircut. I would never go to a Hair Cuttery or Super Cuts but I was in the neighborhood and there was no alternative so I said "I mean it's only hair, it can't really be bad, can it?" Well... first things first: The Place: The place is actually nice, bright light, spacy establishment, LCD TV's on the walls but no receptionist. I think they have about 16 chairs but when I came in, an hour before closing they were only 3 girls and my stylist, Lauren was working the desk. The place looks clean and sanitary. The haircut: Well, you know the saying "You get what you pay for"? Well it's true. When I came in and before I even had a chance to say anything I was told that my haircut will cost $15, "But you don't even know what I want" I said on which I was reassured that they do everything. When I said I want a fauxhawk (a Mohawk that is blended and not bald on the sides), yet again I was reassured that everything will be done to my liking. First thing Lauren did after I sat in the chair? CUT THE BACK OF MY HEAD TO A #2 LENGHT!!! Which means that the fauxhawk was as good as dead because there was no hair in the back!!! I could feel that she wasn't comfortable doing it, hell, she said that she usually does not do it and a barber (seriously?) should be doing it. The sides were slanted and the hair on the right side of my head is a bit longer than the one on the left side. The only saving grace is that the way I style my hair makes it not stand out. Lauren was nice but nice doesn't make a good haircut, but I was offered to buy products, three times. Conclusion: Will I be back? Let's put it this way, now I know why it's worth to pay twice as much but have a professional work on me, I'll leave Hair Cuttery to kids and people who don't know any better. read more

Did not have the best customer experience. I had Cindy and she wasn't that welcoming or friendly. Before she started to wash my hair I wanted to fold down the collar of my shirt so it wouldn't get wet and while doing this she stood there staring at me and then asked: "you good"? It felt like I was slowing her down. Also, when I told her I only wanted a slight trim she told me my hair was damaged and that I should get more taken off, which is completely fine, but when I told her I think I just want a slight trim she said "well, its your hair". Came on a Sunday afternoon to get a quick hair cut - ended up there for 3 hours - to start, I find getting my hair cut an inconvenience - I do not have time to commit to an appoinment, so I often just stop when I see a hair cut place and its been a while - that said, I just went in for a every 6 month, 6-8 inch cut (myyhair grows fast) - Since I had a little extra time (and turning gray way to young) I asked the girl right before she began to cut if she could dye it - She said no problem, but it would look good with highlights too - I told her she could have her run with whatever she wanted but I had to be out in an hour or two - not a problem she said - Well it took 3+ and I said to make sure it was long enough to put in a pontail, and it wasnt, but she really did do a great job - The color was great, the highlights were great - and I got a ton of compliments on the cut as well - I think it cost around 100 for everything, which from what I am told is really cheap - this is definelty my new go to place - I beleve the girls name was Lauren - she was really nice and I only waited about 10 minutes before I was seated. read more
