Now they are charging a 3% fee for using debit/credit card to cover bank service charges. I usually pay about $100 for the services, now I'm charged $3.00 to spend $100 in that store. I was in there today when I read the sign they posted about this charge. I usually tip on my card but today I didn't want to pay them a fee to give their workers a tip. I paid cash for the tips because I didn't want to short the workers. I worked for a bank 20 years and never was the fee that outrageous. I do know they charge a fee for not using their charge machines but it's usually a small percentage of the total debit/credit card charges. The services fees are right in-line with other salons and they don't charge a fee to use the card. The fees we pay for the service is suppose to cover the "cost of doing business". How do the others do it? Unfortunately, my bank doesn't have a location for me to get cash so my checks are sent directly to my account and I have to use debit/credit cards. Now your only problem is "you're not the only salon in Gilmer/Gladewater area, so you will lose mine and my daughter's business. Thanks for the past services, which I liked "most" of them.
