I been wanting to go short for a while and needed the inspiration lol. So I called them up after eating breakfast and they can get me in. I didn't have time for makeup or dressing cute, otherwise I was never gonna make it on time. I do like getting cute for the salon so the hairdresser can tell my style. Got there, parked on the side street and walked to the salon. The vibe was chic and relax, super cute decorated for the holiday. Monick was my hairdresser. She looks so much like my sister in law!!! Her hair is gorgeous and her makeup was very beautiful. She let me know that she needed to clean her station since she just finished her previous appointment. No worries with me, I was a bit early. She came to get me, I showed her the pics of the pixie cut I wanted. She did an AWESOME job!!!! I didn't think I would like it as much as I did since I usually wear my hair past my waist lol. She's nice in person but to blame a client when I've been having the same partial done for 2 decades isn't professional or welcome, and I wanted to give her another chance since it was fine the second time just not as bright. But her texts were unkind and unwelcome during a difficult time. I think her skills are great, but her attitude ruined another chance. The vibe in the salon isn't too friendly either though it is quiet and chill, but I didn't let it bother me both times I was there... definitely room for improvement.

I wanted a layered haircut and a new hair color on my previously black box dyed hair. I went for a deep red color and Lihn executed it perfectly. I went in for a consultation and strand test at first and Lihn explained how she wanted to maintain the health and quality of the color and my hair by recommending not to bleach it. We went straight in with color and like magic it seemed to have worked! She worked around my schedule and the actual appointment was great. I was still wearing my cervical collar, and my recovery had taken an unexpected turn. As I was waking up from anesthesia, I realized I couldn't move my right arm. I had spent six weeks in the hospital and rehabilitation, and because I couldn't use my dominant arm, I couldn't even brush my hair. By the time I walked into her salon, I was physically exhausted and emotionally broken. My hair extensions had become severely tangled and matted, and I was embarrassed. I didn't feel beautiful anymore. I barely felt like myself. But Johnaee never saw the mess. She saw me. She treated me with kindness, compassion, and dignity from the very first moment.
