I'm in town visiting family. I was so sad bc my hair was dry, frizzy, and the curls weren't bouncy or shiny. I was honestly so unhappy with it and couldn't even look at myself in the mirror. I reached out to Deborah while I was in town in Sacramento, and she told me she could help by doing a treatment to bring my curls back to life. After seeing her, I left the salon feeling so happy and much more confident in my appearance. If I'm ever in town again, she will definitely be my go to girl. Thank you again Deborah!

My boyfriend's childhood friend who also happens to be a hairstylist in the San Ramon area told me to call nine two five salon. I called the Hayward location right away since I'm very familiar with them and have gone to them in numerous different occasions. I called and spoke with Rebecca from the Hayward location and asked if anyone can detangle hair in either of their location. She got back to me in less than 15 minutes and was able to find Madison for me from their Pleasanton location. I booked right away for a Thursday morning appointment and the rest was history. We showed up Thursday morning and Madison did her thing. One of my biggest appreciation for Madison is her compassion for my goddaughter. She saw the stress in her eyes and really wanted to help her preserve her hair. Madison communicated with both me and my goddaughter about the what-ifs and how she was gonna proceed in case she couldn't save her hair but she made sure that every step was explained. Madison was very patient and made sure she didn't stay in one area of her head because her head was going to be tender. Madison brushed out my goddaughters for as long as she could. Honestly, I think the whole process took anywhere from 10-13 hours give or take split between two days. Madison had to move her schedules around just to accommodate my goddaughter. The end result was amazing. My goddaughter was extremely happy and excited with her new hair. She showed it off to me and sent me a bunch of pictures overall being happy and thankful that I found Madison. So if you're looking for someone to do detangling on your hair or really anyones hair, Madison is your go to person. Her rate wasn't bad at all either. All in all, shout out to Madison, thank you for the patience and compassion you've put in on taking care of my goddaughter. Know that it meant so much and you're an amazing hair stylist and an amazing person.

I rarely leave negative reviews, but I feel obligated to share my experience. I met with stylist…read moreLily Costa. I paid over $700 for tape in hair extensions and $350 plus 20% tip for installation of the tape in hair extensions. Within days, multiple extensions began falling out and some extensions were already twisting. I immediately contacted the stylist, documented the issues with photos, and returned for a correction appointment. Despite the repair, additional extensions continued to fall out shortly afterward. Throughout the process, I made efforts to resolve the matter directly and professionally. Rather than acknowledging the possibility of an installation issue, responsibility was repeatedly shifted to potential hair-loss concerns. However, the extensions that fell out still had significant hair amounts of my natural hair attached, and a second stylist who evaluated the installation raised concerns about the amount and placement of hair within some of the extension sandwiches. What I found most disappointing was not just the installation itself, but the lack of accountability when the problem persisted after corrective work was performed. I spent additional time, money, and effort trying to have the issue addressed, yet I was repeatedly asked to return for further evaluations after already making a trip for corrective work. After extensive discussions and continued documentation of the problem, the stylist stated I was threatening her by saying I was going to leave a review of her work. She mentioned that she would offer me a partial refund of $100 to resolve this matter but I am not to leave a review of threaten her. Apparently telling her that her work was not adequate is considered threatening. After telling the stylist that $100 was unacceptable she eventually refunded $150, but does not change the fact that the extensions failed almost immediately after installation. My expectation when paying for a professional extension installation is that the extensions remain secure for more than a few days and that legitimate concerns are addressed without the customer having to repeatedly advocate for themselves.

I showed various pictures( front, side, and back) to give Briana a good idea of what I wanted to achieve. My 17 year old daughter's only comment (who recently got her hair cut from another local stylist in Livermore, got a beautiful cut and style) is that it's just bad and walked away. I have had plenty of horrible experiences and haircuts before so it's safe to assume I was anxious about trying this new salon. Once again, lesson learned, go to your trusted salon and stylist. DO NOT RELY ON RATINGS ALONE. I've already made an appointment with my trusted hair stylist in Fremont to fix my hair. I'm willing to drive further out to see her after this sad experience! In response to Varina's review: You had a different experience than I did and it's great that you love your results. But, you had a different hairstylist. And as the owner of the salon, I expected Briana to deliver and she fell short of that. I couldn't wear my hair straight because the cut was uneven; I had no choice but to curl it to hide the imperfections. You cannot deny that my hair looks nothing like the pictures I showed Briana. Would I be willing to risk sitting there again to have her "fix" it when she couldn't deliver the haircut I wanted in the first place? So, while I appreciate your feedback, the pictures speak for themselves. I did call the salon and also left a voicemail on Brianna's cell phone explaining my issue and disappointment, so she was aware of it before I wrote this review.

I went through different treatments and products, and nothing ever lasted long. I did not previously know about Melanie's "hair botox" treatment and it was so interesting to hear about her journey and passion for her craft. Throughout the ~5+ hour process, Melanie was a joy to talk to and she truly cared about making sure my hair turned out right. She took great care in treating and straightening every strand. I have extremely finicky hair--frizzy beyond belief, super fine and stubborn, etc. I've spent years getting Japanese straigtening to tame the beast, resulting in a lot of breakage. I heard about Melanie years ago but was hesitant to go to her because of the cost and proximity. Just a few visits later, I wish I would have gone to her sooner! Melanie truly cares about each client and that shows in her approach. She doesn't sugar coat anything, she is realistic, she doesn't upsell or just try to get you out the door. On my first appointment, she spent an hour and a half evaluating my hair, going through practically each strand, asking questions from hair history to wash routine to stuff I barely even think about. (For the record, I have young kids with special needs and the level of thoroughness she had would be equal to their therapists!) She was honest with what she felt comfortable doing and why, and refrained from doing certain treatments on my hair even though she could have gotten more money. Later, when my hair started to grow out, she did a smoothing treatment that tamed my frizz, left my hair undamaged but shiny and manageable! I've done hair treatments enough to know when someone is just trying to get me out the door vs someone who cares, and Melanie falls into the second category. She also took time to share tips on my hair and how to style it. Are her prices higher? Yes. Are there stylists closer to where I live? Also yes. Is she worth it? Absolutely. She has clients who drive from Sacramento to see her, and it's clear to see why. Melanie is an absolute gem!
