I stumbled onto this gem of a salon on Groupon for a balayage with glaze and couldn't be happier! I called to make an appt and they were gracious enough to accommodate me for a last minute booking the next day. Upon entering the salon I was impressed - it is beautifully decorated with warm colors and a modern appeal. You can see there was close attention paid to detail in both the decor and the salon layout - And I immediately felt at home. My stylist Francesca warmly greeted me and we just clicked. She is this bright, bubbly big ray of sunshine and both our consultation and conversation immediately put me at ease. Oh, and also... she's GREAT at her job! When all was said and done, my hair was better than the pictures I showed her, and better than I could have imagined! She NAILED it! I also got to meet the owner and some of the other stylists as well and they were all lovely. You can tell how close of a family they really are. At the end of the day, I highly recommend both the salon and Francesca to anyone who is looking for a great hair experience! read more

I called to make an appt for a quick blow out today, receptionist confirmed me for 4:30 but put me on hold while she was taking down my info then hung up. I called back and the owner was too busy with her current conversation to stop and do a telephone greeting so I waited for her to finish and she finally rudely asked me "what do you want" and told me that I was confused about my 4:30 appt and that she needed to leave so she was not taking me? (I was en route to the salon already) I had asked her position at the salon because I couldn't believe how rude she was being. I've been to dozens of salons in Greenwich and NYC and I've never experienced such awful horrendous customer service. If you need a good salon experience go to Jo-Davi where they're professional and experienced. This was trailer park service. read more

My stylist was very nice and I really did like her. I was hoping she would be the one. I went here twice and both times I did highlights and both times my hair came out the same shade of red, which I still don't understand. I know it takes time to lighten your hair after having dark hair but there should be at least a hint of new color after two sessions. I've went to plenty salons and I've dyed my hair from light to dark and dark to light before and I've never experienced this shade of red. The site has one dollar sign meaning it's inexpensive but I paid 200 each time which is about the same as a higher end salon. I definitely won't be going back. I just wish that when people pay a lot of money to get their hair done and spend a lot of time that they should love their hair. read more

Hair Attraction has moved to a gorgeous new space ( former Blain Adams' space.) Their salon finally matches their expertise. Janine, the owner, is getting ready to celebrate 25 years in business--a well deserved accomplishment. I've been to salons near and far, but kept coming back here to Michelle for highlights. So I've been going to Hair attraction for about 5+ years now, my stylist is Liz. Can't say enough positive things about the salon and Liz. Trying to transition to my natural hair color which is primarily gray and white and Liz has the patience of a saint in helping me through this. She's efficient, quick, always takes me right in when I get there. I get many compliments on my hairstyle and color. I got a Groupon for this place for a Keratin treatment. While the hair stylist was very nice, the product did not work. I am only 3 weeks into my Keratin and my hair is already out of control frizzy. It was a waste of time and money. So disappointed! Hold on..... just called them and they are redoing it for free this weekend. Super nice! I'll let you know how it turns out this time. read more

I lucked into a last minute appointment when I got let out of work early one day about a year ago. I was in desperate need of a cut - and ideally a stylist - and they were able to accommodate me. I was feeling pretty self conscious at the time due to postpartum shedding, but Vickie put me at ease immediately. A few months back, I got highlights for the first time in my adult life. As it turns out, I don't really like highlights on me! I wasn't sure how that was going to go over, but Vickie listened to my concerns and made some suggestions for what to try next. I feel like she wants my hair to look great just as much as I do. read more

I have been going to Liz for 20 years now. She makes my hair color look as if it were my own natural color. All the stylists are friendly and talented. Tiffany does my daughter's hair and it always looks amazing. I would recommend any of the stylists. I always watch others getting their hair done while I am processing. Absolutely horrible! I had a Groupon for a full head of highlights and a haircut and I thought It would be simple. I wanted blonde highlights and gave a picture. Well, I came out platinum blonde that was yellow and gold. It looked like I bought a box from Walmart and did it myself! I cried I was so upset as it was a birthday gift and I had an event to go to. They said nothing could be done but to come back when it grew out. The client before me also had her hair messed up as she asked for a tint of red and got pitch black hair with no hues of anything. I would highly recommend you stay away! I am still in the process of trying to get my money back! Horrible service! You you make a mistake then fix it! I have been going to Hair Attraction for more years than I can remember...15 plus years. Everyone is so friendly! Most of the hairdressers and owner know me by name even though I only see Michelle...who is just wonderful! She does such a great job with my hair. I am not a very adventurous person when it comes to my hair and she does exactly what I ask so I never walk away disappointed! She always gives a great cut and is great with my color. They just moved into a new location which is fabulous!! It's very spacious and well decorated. I highly recommend Hair Attraction and especially Michelle to anyone looking for a new hair salon. They are also reasonably priced. I moved from the area and still make the trip from Fairfield as I can't imagine leaving them and starting with someone new. read more

Does not deserve one star. With owner present, my concern for hair treatment was made clear. She had also reviewed. I received the results I asked to avoid. Correction was not an option and owner even wanted to stop further completion which included the conditioning. I felt as if I was being forced to keep my observations to myself since the salon was crowded. I also learned after that there was another client with a similar concern. More disturbing was the manner in which some of the employees were gossiping and laughing out loud across the room. I have never seen this in any salon and never wish to be in such an environment again. Worse was when a customer departed and was then a topic of discussion. I have never felt such discomfort in a hair salon before and left feeling as if a victim. When leaving, several of the salon employees gather at the front desk with eyes on the customer leaving her to feel vulnerable to leave a tip even after dissatisfaction. This is my first uncomfortable experience with any venue in Monroe. Does not fit the community reputation. read more

Absolutely loved Hair Attraction. Newer to the area and was looking to get my hair done and this place popped up in a google search. Couple days later I actually got a coupon in the mail for 20 dollars off for a new client so I decided to make an appointment. So happy I did. As soon as I walked in even though all the girls were in the middle of something I was greeted cheerfully right away. I made my appointment with Liz. I had accidentally only scheduled for just a haircut, when i really wanted a shampoo, haircut, and blow dry. I told her this and she said that was no problem and made the time for me. Liz was so friendly and easy to talk to. We talked to the whole time. Such a comfortable and friendly experience. My hair came out great. I had a picture of what I wanted and she did exactly that. Lots of compliments and my hair feels super healthy. I look forward to coming back for future hair cuts and colors! I highly recommend Liz if you go. read more
