I really appreciated that, most salons just cut hair and style but Tom took the extra mile and I was beyond happy with my results. From the moment I sat down, she was pleasant and listened carefully to what I wanted. She asked thoughtful questions to make sure she completely understood what I had in mind. Her eye for color and highlights is exceptional. She took the time to really look at my skin tone and natural hair color, and then chose the perfect blend of color and highlights to complement my complexion. You can tell she takes pride in her work and has a genuine artistic sense when it comes to selecting the right tones. She also surprised me and added a glaze conditioner during the rinse, which noticeably made my hair soft and silky for weeks afterward! Additionally, I was so impressed watching her work during the cut. She is painstakingly meticulous, checking to make sure that the shape was symmetrical and balanced from every direction. I sent a message to Charlene's on Facebook requesting a last min appointment and Ruhi happened to be up at that time and responded within a few minutes, telling me that she'll text me in the morning to confirm my appt. She texted me at 7:30am with an appointment time for today, at 10am. I then asked if we were able to add color service and she was more than happy to add the service on at the last minute and had me come in a little earlier to ensure I would make it on time to have my photos done. I later found out that she is off today and she just came in to do my hair because she wanted to help me out and she knew how urgent this was for me. My hair came out absolutely perfect!!! She touched up my roots and finished my hair off with the most perfect loose curls. She was mindful of the time and made sure I was out of the salon to make it to my photo shoot in time. Upon entering the salon I was impressed - it is beautifully decorated with warm colors and a modern appeal. You can see there was close attention paid to detail in both the decor and the salon layout - And I immediately felt at home. My stylist Francesca warmly greeted me and we just clicked. She is this bright, bubbly big ray of sunshine and both our consultation and conversation immediately put me at ease. Oh, and also... she's GREAT at her job! When all was said and done, my hair was better than the pictures I showed her, and better than I could have imagined! She NAILED it! I also got to meet the owner and some of the other stylists as well and they were all lovely. You can tell how close of a family they really are. She's very knowledgeable about hair in general which is helpful since I am not! She specializes in curly hair but I don't even have curly hair and she did great with my hair. I got a few highlights and a layered haircut and the blow dry was perfect. The salon is part of a bigger space, you walk in and her shop is the second shop to your right. It's super cute in there. Oh and there is a on site parking lot which I love. I've been to lots of hairdressers and she's a winner!
