Synopsis: Lenka is a hair stylist who deserves to be in her own category. Passion literally runs through her fingertips and sometimes I wonder if she's working with magic. Lenka has 2 doctorates. One in hair and the other in personality. Every time I leave her chair, I feel like either a centerfold for a playboy mag or a model fresh off a Pantene commercial. May 2016: If you're looking to have the BEST haircut, color, or treatment... LENKA is your girl! I think everyone has made the mistake of trusting the wrong people with their hair and end up regretting it. Before walking into L/S I had a outgrown ombré, split ends and in need of some follicle TLC. Lenka gave me that and so much more! She brought my limp, frizzy and dull hair to life. I literally went from having dull hair to healthy vivacious commercial hair. I asked her what she suggested for my hair as I have a 2.5/3 sets of hair on top of my head! We decided on taking 3 inches off, lightening the weight of my bangs, coloring roots, and a hair blowout. I felt a little nervous about cutting so much off but knew it was worth it. I never felt at ease and comfortable in a salon. Lenka is attentive to your needs and wants... Is friendly and really makes you feel like you've known her for ages. She won me over with her technique, personality and her perfectionism! I feel absolutely beautiful every time I leave the salon and what more can you ask from a stylist ? Where - ever I go, people ask how beautiful my hair looks and I always give credit to Lenka. Every woman wants to leave a salon feeling refreshed and the epitome of a Pantene commercial... That is exactly how I feel every time I get up from Lenka's chair. I plan to come to see Lenka for a very very long time. October 2016: Long overdue and certainly needed. Scheduled my appointment @ 230 and left around 530 or so. Lenka always puts in the work and it shows. I had some severe outgrown roots that were in need of a touchup. I have pitch black/deep dark brown roots and she was able to lighten them without over-drying my roots. Take a look @ the pictures and see for yourself! The girl is everything. My wife and I were desperately in need of a local hair establishment that could help her stretch her style needs while giving me a stylish cut that I can count on. What a delight to find such a fresh salon that doesn't strive for an attitude, but is a joy to visit and happens to have some of the best stylists around. Mela has done a remarkable job tapping into my wife's hair DNA and creating styles that are both lively and precise. David already had a sense of what I needed from my hair, and his expertise and attention to detail are without peer in the Marin/Sonoma area. I know, having been here nearly 50 years. There's fun in the air when you visit the salon and you can palpably sense the warm connection between the stylists and the customers. That could come off as "B/S" (pun intended - reference the business name); if you've ever been to a hair salon or barber shop that feels uptight or alternately like a hair mill, however, you can readily discern the difference here. Half of it is about execution - they know their art and are laser-focused on making you look your best. The flip side of the coin is about creating a comfortable, light experience that makes this the place you want to visit to catch up with old friends, if that's your desire. I loved my experience at this salon. First of all it is very clean & you can tell the owner put a lot of thought & time into the design of the salon. The salons interior design is very cool! It is extremely hard finding a good hairstylist who gives you what you really want... Some just do what they think looks good and others listen to their customers and deliver outstanding outcomes. My hair is super thick and hard to work with - I wanted my hair color to be a deep black and straight. David, my hair genie, worked his magic and completely changed the way my hair looks and feels. Finally a hair salon in Novato that has all the perks of a high end salon without the pretentious BS! I adore David and his magical hair powers. I went in with a faded bad hair cut, but came out looking better than I could have imagined. Aimee took the time to really talk to me about what I wanted, how I styled and the products I used. Aimee showed me what colors would look good with what I currently had and how we can progress in the future. I went in last February for a color and cut. The color was good but the cut was uneven and noticeably so. I have short hair so maybe those with long hair are happier, I'm not sure. I wish there was no limit to the amount of stars I could give David; he is an absolute hair genius! After a horrid experience going from Blonde to Redhead at another salon, David worked his hair magic and fixed what I thought could not be fixed. My hair went from multiple shades of pinks, oranges, and browns to a magnificent shade of a violet based red and I could not be happier. Desperately in need of a haircut since 9 months I finally land at this salon in the search of a hairdresser who will understand my thin, wavy/curly hair! And voila, I found Lenka!! Based on yelp reviews I scheduled a haircut with Lenka just 3 days before my appointment. I was promptly addressed at 4:30 pm. Lenka listened to me patiently, saw the model pictures for the look I was hoping to get and worked her magic into my hair! She also made suggestions about how she was gonna tweak the haircut a by so that I don't have to blow dry everyday to get the look. Lenka is amazing! She did my hair for my wedding in the fall and it was perfect. She was able to take my idea of what I wanted and turn it into something that was better for my face shape and suited my dress perfectly. Lenka is the best!! I went to another stylist in SF a few weeks earlier to dye my hair darker, but it had all faded away within a week. I had a wedding I was going to over the weekend, and Lenka was able to schedule me in last minute to work her magic!! OK- let me tell you about my girl Aimee- the queen of waxing! This gal is amazing! I've been going to her for 5 years now to do wax/tints on my brows and lashes. She has this crazy way of being able to fix the weird cowlick in one of my eyebrows, she tints my blond eyelashes and brows the perfect color- not "WTF?" black, but a dark brown so they are seen. Back in the day, when she was at Benefit, I would watch her work on multiple people at the same time and each person would come away with a different shape brow to fit their face shape- it was fascinating and flattering to know that not everyone in Marin was walking around with the exact same brow shape! I've lived in Sonoma County for two years now, and still make the hour drive to Aimee because I can trust no one else. Not only that, she's down to earth and fun to be around and doesn't mind if I rush in for an appointment smelling like horse and with my hair in a ball cap. If you need your brows done, shes the only one to trust for the job! Now that she does hair, I've enjoyed every haircut she's done- I have crazy hair and she always makes it look amazing. Had my first haircut with Aimee last week and truly could not be happier with my hair. I have mid-length, curly hair that has seen its share of iffy haircuts, but now it's finally looking the way I hoped it could! Aimee listened to what I wanted, wasn't pushy but offered suggestions, and made sure that we were on the same page before she chopped anything. Haedt's BS Stop, I mean the name says it all! I used to go to a fancy neighboring salon (NH2) I thought the increase in price equaled increase in quality however I always left disappointed. My goal was to go blonde from an ombre. I know this takes several processes but it was my third time there and no positive results! My hair was streaky and trashy, not to mention I never knew how much I would end up being charged. They tack on extra charges for toners, extra product, styling etc usually coming out to just under 500.00$!! So I decided to try a new salon Haedt's BS Stop and haven't turned back since! I now how lushes blonde locks and know exactly how much I am going to pay as well as the quality of work being what I want! The pricing is super reasonable and in my opinion cheaper than most other salons! Lenka and David are a great team and are overall just fun to be around.
