I relocated to Novato last year and needed a new aesthetician for brow waxing. I am super picky about my brow wax because of a previous experience where someone butchered my brows (thinned them down and created high arches) and I walked around looking startled/surprised for weeks! I tried Moonstone for the first time last month and had Rochelle wax my brows. She did an awesome job. I had her wax them again yesterday and she continued to be awesome. Moonstone has two stations/tables on the main floor where most of their services are performed. I think they have a station upstairs as well for their makeup artist. I've tried all the basic facials, all good, I even splurged once and had the 90 minute facial which I highly recommend. Don't know where to get a fantastic eyebrow wax? Well, Moonstone is the place to be! When I first moved to Petaluma, I needed to find an amazing eyebrow expert. Lo and behold, I found Rochelle. She was at a different salon at the time when I discovered her unparalleled skills and I followed her when she started at Moonstone. You know she's one when you follow a highly skilled professional. I had a wonderful facial/peel today with Courtney and it was really a fantastic experience. As a SF person who recently moved to Novato, I had no clue where to go for a facial and I am definitely high maintenance as far as knowing what I want in a pricey facial. Thankfully I stumbled upon this salon after reading other reviews. The salon is very cute, extremely clean, relaxing atmosphere with a fantastic selection of products such as Eminence. My facial was very relaxing & Courtney was clearly a very well trained esthetician that knew her stuff! I wanted a brightening peel that would get rid of age spots & hyper pigmentation and my skin was noticeably brighter and luminous after treatment. I had the MOST incredible facial with Janie! She made me feel really comfortable and special which is hard for me because I don't know how to relax. I'm so used to working on others that when it comes to me I'm just not the one to sit still well. She was very efficient in making sure to do extractions on me and detox my skin from buildup of sebum & previous sunblock/makeup use. She really got my skin clean & a great exfoliation. I don't have super bad skin, but I love the occasional facial and I have found the holy grail here with Rochell. As a first timer at Moonstone, I filled out a questionnaire about my skin and other information. The facial was about 90 minutes and was the most relaxing facial I've had. She told me my skin was considered dry, which surprised me since I had always thought I was a normal/oily complexion. I bought a facial wash based on her recommendation. Now that I'm aware I have "dry" skin and treating it with products for dry skin, my face has majorly improved! I loved the facial so much that I decided to get my eyebrows done by Rochell the next week. This is a big deal for me since I'm obsessed with my eyebrows and I am never completely satisfied with them. She's helping me fix them so they're FINALLY even and arched correctly. I also got some amazing brow powder to make them look even until they are, and fix my sparse areas. Overall, I could not be happier and only wish I had found Moonstone and Rochell sooner! read more

You know how hard it is to find someone you like to go to for treatments after you move to a new place... hairdressers, masseuses, general salon type things... I can be a huge pain trying out new people time and time again. I found this little gem, MOONSTONE, and they do just about everything in one spot. I have gone for waxing, a facial, and a massage on several different occasions. The owner Janie is absolutely delightful - the space is small, but is tastefully decorated, and very bright.
