As an apartment complex, Haddonview Apartments has many things going for it…read more For business commuting it is ideal. It is close to Routes 38 & 70, as well as 2-95, the Black Horse and White Horse Pikes, it is a short walk to the Westmont station of the PATCO speedline, AND they offer a free shuttle service to downtown center city Philadelphia. The complex itself consists of three high-rise apartment buildings; two buildings are 16 stories, the third building, 12 stories. The property was developed in the mid-to-late 1960 (as it seems were many of the apartments in the area) but the complex has aged well due to immaculate care by the owners. The grounds are meticulously cared for...a landscaping service cuts the grass every week in the warmer season; the flower beds are always being replanted and are kept up well; and the are quick with snow removal in the winter. The rent for the apartments is in my opinion high compared to other apartment complexes in the area, but you are rewarded with a complex always in the best upkeep. There have been many improvements over the past ten years. Between 2005 and 2007 the management replaced all of the originaal windows for the apartments, and the lobbies of all three buildings were reconstructed in beautiful brickwork. The rent also includes all utilities...electric and hot water and gas heat. The only extras needed are phone and cable service. Comcast and Verizon upgraded their cable service in the building in 2009. Seven days a week from 4pm to midnight there is a doorman on the premises for each of the 3 buildings. I think the complex allows for cats but there is a charge for this. The only minor complaint I have for the complex is the design of the north building. (It is the 12-story building, but the top of it sits level with the other two buildings since the north building is lower in elevation.) The north building is not a triad shape like the other two. Access is limited to the front and back entrances, where the other two buildings allow for more convenient access from any of the three sides (as well as the front). Also...the north building has something they call "air conditioning" but it's more like "air cooled" climate control. Each apartment has a vent system and water pipes that pass through the vents; each apartment also has a thermostat. In the summer the pipes are pumped with cold water, and you set the fan to blow air over the "cooled" pipes. This takes the edge off the heat and humidity but not by much. In the winter they reverse the process with hot water in the pipes. The other two buildings (the south and east) feature air conditioner units in the walls. I can't speak for their reliability but they do a better job cooling things. Overall, very little to fault Haddonview on in terms of the condition or value or upkeep of the apartments. Many of the residents are long-term renters. I've visited a few local apartment complexes in the area and can say with no hesitation that Haddonview offers the best value and quality in apartment living for Haddon Township.

I did not live here but went to check it out. Most places nowadays are non-smoking but not this…read moreplace, except for one of the three buildings. When I asked how they enforce the non-smoking policy in the one building, they basically said it was none of my business. The leasing agent also claimed that she had personal knowledge that not one person in the non-smoking buildings, would smoke -- which is a ridiculous claim. Then she copped an attitude when I told her that she could not possibly know this, and that it's human nature that some people will smoke evern though they say that they won't.. They advertise that heat and electric are included in the rent, but they only turn on the heat or the AC certain dates of the year, no matter what the outside temperature is. That alone is a huge problem. I would not rent here.

I notified the office about the fact there were no handicap parking spaces in the lot behind the building I live. That turned into the most rude, unprofessional, uncaring and unfriendly experience.(thus the previous review). Since that review I contacted several agencies and learned that there should be (2)TWO handicapped spaces in the lot. I tried to call the leasing office numerous times each day for a week and no one answered nor returned my phone calls. I asked to speak to Jack and to Jacks manager ...have not been contacted by either. There has been (1) handicapped space placed in the parking lot... Across the lot FURTHEST FROM MY BUILDING!!! IS THAT what they mean when they say ***WE VALUE OUR RESIDENTS*** I do understand its not a personal space and anyone with the proper documentation can park in the space. However after over a decade of living here and no other resident requesting , would it not be common sense (not to mention ADA requirement) to place the handicap space closest to my building? How inhumane UNkind and deliberately CHILDISH they have proven themselves to be.

My wife and I have lived in this place for 4 years, so here are the pros and cons of this place…read more Pros: Nice, quiet neighborhood near Kings highway and downtown Haddonfield and if you need to use 295 to commute you are very close! Also, if you get a dog, it's a onetime fee. Unfortunately, that's where this list ends. Cons: There have been two people who have run the front office and honestly both have been bad. This office keeps really bad hours making it impossible to go and see in person if you work, and they have no Saturday hours, so if you need to see them, then you need to take some time off. Also ran into many issues with this place like not having heat for most of the winter during 2020-2021 and each time we called, we were told that "they were working on it" we threatened to not pay rent and then it was fixed until I paid rent and then it wouldn't work for a week or so. Both the front office and the manger above them were extremely unhelpful regarding this. The rent is constantly rising in this place, and you do not see where this money is going into. The money is not going into better staff or anything, it probably went into this new blue siding that they did. So don't be fooled by the outside, the inside is an ugly yellow color with 20 layers of paint, that doesn't allow you to close your doors. The maintenance staff, while they are very nice, they are unfortunately incompetent and/or lazy. If you try to get something fixed expect it to break again in a couple months. We have run into an issue where the faucet in our bathtub would leak a lot of water. Someone would come in fix it and then 2 to 3 months later it would break again and start leaking. We were told by one guy that they put the O-ring in too tight breaking it and then the heat from the water breaks it down, so they just kept installing it wrong. We had another case where the faucet in our kitchen was leaking and when the maintenance guy came in, he told me they would have to replace the whole sink and they won't have a replacement for a while. I told him I think the O-ring needs to be fixed, and when he replaces it, the sink stopped leaking and he was surprised by that. Don't you think he should have thought about that in the first place? A problem with both the front and maintenance was our roof was leaking and every time there was a down pour, we would see our ceiling bubbling. When we called them about it the maintenance staff came in and said "Yeah the guy who lived here before you complained about the same thing" so he replaced the drywall and that's it. The only reason our roof got fixed was a tree fell and hit our building, so they had an emergency roof repair. Which was great, but they never told us about it, so we woke up to our roof being fixed and then had to be careful for weeks, because the roofing company did a poor job picking up the nails. Also, the parking situation is almost as bad as being in a city, if you have a job that keeps you till after 6pm, then good luck finding a parking space. Every year we are given a parking pass for a limited number of spaces, but the only way it gets enforced is, if you the tenant calls it in. Many times when I have come back after 7 or 8pm I would have to park on the street in the residential area and sometimes the people in the house did not appreciate us parking in front of their house. I really would not recommend this place; it gets more expensive and worse each year. If you can do a month to month with the plan for only being, there until you get a house then do that.

Leaving an honest review. Is the Village fine for a starter apartment with reasonable proximity to…read morethe highway? Sure. The pros are the numerous stores and some excellent restaurants in the area, which is convenient. But the cons? These apartments are riddled with quality issues. The carpet, stacking washer-dryer, and air conditioner is terrible. Everything runs on electric, and I routinely get $300+ electric bills. Management will do whatever they can to get you to lease for another year, except what actually matters. The materials used to construct the apartment are laughable. The dryer vents into your bathroom and the kitchen becomes extremely hot when cooking. For the area, the apartments are just okay. You don't get much storage space, and the layout leaves little room for anything but the bare minimum. Don't even get me started on the mold, which I corroborated with multiple neighbors. There's better out there for almost $1,700 and $300+ electric. On the plus side, the maintenance team is great.

Maintenance/pest control puts down traps, and wants to come weekly to "check the traps". Because I tell them no, as it is pointless, I can check the traps and let them know if it caught anything. I have a new baby and a dog, I don't need people in and out my house, dog barking and waking baby, but because I tell them no to checking weekly, they say they haven't been able to treat the issue properly.. makes no sense. Property manager also told me today just because there is mouse poop and pee doesnt mean there is a mouse??? A complete joke. On top of that, maintenance has had to seal 3 openings in my apartment, behind the stove, under the sink and in my closet, which is how the mouse probably got in. And property manager Aubrey refuses to let me break my lease 1-2 months early due to my belongings being destroyed, because this complex is money hungry.
