i might be moving soon, and while looking at other apts, i can find absolutely nothing like roger's walk anywhere else. i wish i could pick up this development and take it with me wherever i go. the rent is low especially considering the safety, community, amenities, etc. and they didn't raise rent on me during the pandemic, with the option to move out if job relocation. if i could rent a place like this for the rest of my life, i wouldn't ever purchase anything with the risk, lawn/snow, the maintenance, the costs, etc. it is amazing planning that every unit is an end unit, with a direct access garage that's huge (opening both doors is not a problem - i can't even do that at my parent's house). i have neighbors whose names i know (with whom i've eaten lunch, or thanked for bringing in our garbage cans every week), and neighbors whose names i don't know (but still wave or shout hello - this is the friendliest community i've ever driven thru, i really don't expect to ever find something like this again). the room is spacious (3 exercise machines collected during the pandemic in a 1 br). their maintenance is quick and clean (tried to lump everything together this summer). yes, i've made some complaints about garbage/recycling issues, but those aren't mgmt's issues (they still help me with them usually, karen is super nice), but rather the garbage/recycling company's issue. sure, there are bugs, but i've made my peace with that knowing i'm in south jersey on a first floor. but if you want to live on the second, those folks have their own private elevator with annual maintenance - i'd never heard of that before! i'm guessing that this may have been a 55+ community or intended, but i have that type of lifestyle already, and it suits me wonderfully. i don't use their gym, pool, bbq, library, movie, wine tastings, yoga, etc, - lots of activities - but i raced to the food truck they invited over. there's deer and beavers in my backyard, and the only noise i hear is the crickets and birds chirping. it is absolutely beautiful to drive into during sunset, a reward when coming home. read more
