Hack's Auto Body has previously worked miracles for my mother and me, so I'm glad to be able to write a review regarding my most recent experience with them. My 2011 Ford Fiesta SES wound up with some unsightly dents and scratches on its front bumper cover after I had the misfortune of running into and over a car bumper, which had been inexplicably sitting in the middle of a freeway traffic lane with no car attached to it. A ten-year old Fiesta is more of an appliance than a car one feels passionately about, and the market value on a car like that is such that a lot of people wouldn't want to sink much money into cosmetic repairs. So I was tempted to just drive the thing as-is, but... Driving a car with unrepaired cosmetic damage sends a message. Right or wrong, it causes people to form conscious or unconscious opinions about you-- to make assumptions about whether you have your act together, whether you're a person of financial means, etc, etc. I knew I would just feel better about life if I got the thing fixed. As humble as a Fiesta is, driving one in great condition is better than tooling around in one that's a beater. So I brought the car to Hack's, and they not only replaced that front bumper cover, but also did a flawless job of painting it so the color perfectly matches the rest of the car. And they got the job done with an insanely quick turnaround time. I've always believed any time your car needs body or paint work, you've got to be prepared for the shop to hold on to it for a while. But Hack's got the job done exactly when they said they would, and the results certainly didn't look rushed. Best of all, they wound up charging me a bit less than what their original estimate had been!

Top Notch all the way. From the greeting at the front desk to scheduling, very streamlined and quick. They assessed my vehicle and we made an appointment to get the work done. They are busy, (good sign) so the appointment was a couple of weeks out, not a problem for me. Dropped off the vehicle on a Monday morning, and was called by Peter on Tuesday with an update. Peter is very thorough and explains things and answered all my questions. He said my car was on schedule to be ready on Friday of the same week. Peter called me again on the Thursday before with another update, my car would in fact be ready the next day:-)!!!!! I love the updates letting you know what is going on and when you can expect to get your car back. I've had experiences where I had to keep calling places to get the status. Not here, they are on top of it. However, an issue developed. I was not able to leave work early due to lack of staffing and I could not figure out how I was going to get there before closing.......I asked Peter if someone would still be there after hours for a while, but, due to the fact that I literally live 0.6 miles away from the shop, Peter offered to have the vehicle dropped off at my home. WOW. WHAT SERVICE! I'm certain they cannot offer this to everyone due to logistics, but it really helped me out. I just had to pay the bill over the phone and we'd be set! I got home to my beautiful car in the driveway looking like perfection. Overall it was a wonderful experience after a not so pleasant accident. I would definitely return to Hacks if need be, of course I have no immediate plans, but things happen. Thank you Peter and everyone at Hacks for your professionalism, kindness, great work (my car looks amazing) and being so accommodating!

    All fixed

So my car was hit in the parking lot at Home Depot. No note of course not. Took it to Hacks Ian said they could fix it and help me with the insurance stuff. They brought my baby back to her beauty. I was going to post sooner but left to Arizona. Got back went to work two weeks after it was fixed one of my coworkers backed into it, same place. Dealing with the other insurance was a pain in the ass still not done with them! But my car is back as beautiful as ever! Highly recommend Hacks!

From working with the front desk and managers (Ian) to getting the work done on time, and on budget, was amazing.

Their service is great, and I appreciate they actually picked up the phone, I feel like that is rare now. My car was really dirty, for their Freshen Up wash they did an excellent job.

Overall, the quality of their service and what they guarantee is spot on, but the attention to detail is lacking, heavily. For $400 I should be getting top-notch service. I should be the VIP of your establishment for the day! And I wasn't. Honestly, it's just simple things that shouldn't be overlooked that truly matter. What does a $400 "Complete Auto Detailing" get you? PROS: Exterior - Wash, Dry, Clay Bar, Wax, Protective Sealant, Wheel cleaning, and Tire shine. Your vehicle will glisten almost to perfection in a way that is showroom quality. Interior - As they claim, "a complete shampoo of the interior including the carpets, seats and floormats." And this is where it stops. CONS: Honor the time agreement! I booked my appointment on Tuesday 3/17 for Friday 3/20 and was told to drop my vehicle off between 8 and 8:30am. So I arrived at 815a on the day of my appointment, only to find that the front office door was locked, dark and unoccupied on the inside. It's not a good business practice to tell clients to arrive or be somewhere at a certain time and you, yourself, are not there. Exterior - No attention to detail for the small things. It's easy to spray on car washing foam and then pressure wash it off. But when you overlook the wheel wells that's an issue. The area that a spray wash just doesn't get it. Don't call yourself a "detailing shop" if you're not going to take the time to look at and address the minor details. My vehicle is White, and just like a Black car, it shows the dirt along with everything else. Had you been paying attention, you would have and should have caught this. Don't be afraid to get down on your hands and knees and put some "elbow grease" scrubbing effort into thoroughly cleaning ALL the parts that needed to be cleaned. If there's paint and clearcoat, it shouldn't be overlooked. Interior - While they also clean and wipe the door panels, dashboard or door jambs, this is where they fell short with the quality of service by my standards. My interior gas cap door was not cleaned/wiped. The engine hood was not opened nor was it wiped and cleaned either. (See pictures) It's not like I was asking for a steam cleaning of the engine bay, but nonetheless, it's a door with a crease and hinges. If your claim is "we wipe the door panels and door jambs," under the hood shouldn't have been overlooked. Again, details matter. Honestly, you didn't even try and make an attempt and it shows. The sad thing about this whole process compared to other detail shops is they don't "Deliver" your car to you. They don't walk you out to your vehicle and go over the details of everything that they did and inquire about your level of satisfaction. Because if it's not right they'll fix it. Unfortunately at Precision Auto Body & Detail you just walk in, pay, get your keys back, and then off you go. On to the next one. I've been to other auto detail shops that treat you like royalty from start to finish that are equally comparable in price. Maybe I'll spend the extra $200 somewhere else going forward, that I know for certain won't overlook the simple and minor details.
