My husband enjoyed his hot coffee, and we shared two sandwiches (so we could each taste both). We got the chicken panini, and the turkey maple on sourdough. Both were yummy! I especially thought the chicken was good because the meat was moist and thick. We also got desserts (because it was a family member's birthday and they love chocolate and pumpkin). And I never eat donuts but wanted to try the cider donuts. Yum! So light and delicious! I also got a bottle of the New Hampshire Squamscot root beer, and found it unique and refreshing. I would order it again, though I usually don't drink soda. This soda wasn't too bubbly, which is why I liked it.

I am submitting this report regarding an incident at Beans & Greens Farm in Gilford, New Hampshire,…read moreinvolving my fiancée and our friend, both of whom are Asian. On September 21, 2026, my fiancée and our friend visited Beans & Greens and purchased multiple items from the business. They also placed a food order and were given a pager. They then waited for more than 40 minutes for their order. During that time, they repeatedly asked staff members about the status of their food. Multiple employees instructed them to continue waiting. Meanwhile, they observed other customers arriving, receiving their orders, and leaving while their own order was not provided. After waiting more than 40 minutes, it appeared that their food order had either never been entered or had otherwise been disregarded. In addition to the unusually long wait, both described the manner in which staff interacted with them as dismissive, patronizing, and disrespectful. They felt they were being belittled and treated as though they were less deserving of attention or service than other customers. Both my fiancée and our friend are Asian. Neither of them normally attributes poor customer service to race, and neither entered the situation expecting or looking for discriminatory treatment. However, because of the combination of their order apparently being ignored, repeated dismissive responses from staff, and other customers being served while they continued to wait, both left the business questioning whether their race or ethnicity contributed to how they were treated. I am submitting this account in good faith. The factual details described above are based on what my fiancée and our friend experienced and reported regarding the incident. They can provide their own firsthand accounts if additional information is required.

I waited two days before posting this 2-star review to give the business a chance to update their…read morewebsite or their Facebook page. They said they would; they have not. // This review is to save other long distance travelers with pets and dogs from being stuck in the same negative circumstance.// With an AOL email account, you know the business isn't the most tech savvy. That's fine because if you're in the business of growing and making things, you should be spending more time, well, growing and making things that matter. Life--and business practice--gets murky when a business jumps into social media to 1) solicit votes for their products, and 2) to promote their business. They've been voted best cider donuts third year in a row. *I* know this because *they* make sure you know this by their many posts on their Facebook page. I know they wanted people to vote for them on social media because, yes you guessed it, they've updated their FB posts asking for *your* votes. So -- what's with the low stars if these donuts are allegedly so awesome? Don't advertise your business is "family" friendly and don't advertise "the store" if you have strict dog prohibitions. After driving almost 2 hours, I was asked to leave the property because I was waiting outside the country store building with a dog. Not inside the building with food. Not picking apples. Standing outside. Now, the person who stopped me and asked me to leave recited an involved "whole apple process and food" soliloquy while failing to hear that they do not have this information posted on their website or social media. Well duh. My issue is you can post all the signs you like on the property, but it does no good for the people who drive 2 hours to visit your business after confirming on their recently updated website and posts there are no pet prohibitions. Again, I respect there are places where animals should not be allowed. It's why you check before you go. And again, we've all seen small business websites that haven't been updated since Netscape launched. My issue is with their response. 1) You do not understand the issue if I say it's not posted on your website or FB and your response is "maybe" it should be there. What "maybe"? If you're using FB to promote your business, there is no "maybe" about it. 2) They advertise the store area if you do not want to pick apples. I was in it for the donuts only. A solution would have been we could have continued to wait in the front area while waiting for the MVP donuts.
