The camp store is packed with food and camping essentials. We grabbed a campground map, and luckily a local map, which came in handy as the service in the area is pretty spotty! Not a problem for our group as we were looking to disconnect for the weekend, but definitely something to keep in mind. The camp wifi worked well up near the main areas, but could be a little spotty down by our site; no biggie though. We stayed at site R1 along the river, without hookups. These spots were gorgeous! The white noise of the river while sleeping was so relaxing. Our spot had some good distance from our neighbors, although it appeared some of the other "R" sites are a little close together (great for groups/families!). The area was flat with plenty of room to set up a large 8 person tent, and still have room for the picnic table, fire ring and chairs, and even more tents if needed. Our first day we had some severe weather warnings and quite a bit of rain. The staff was wonderful with driving by and checking on us, as they warned us the river can rise with severe rain. Luckily we didn't have any problems with the river getting too close to our tent. The campground has events throughout the summer that are definitely worth checking out. We were lucky enough to grab some pizzas from the food truck that came to visit! We will definitely be returning here, and recommending this place to friends and family!

R-sites are small and going down hill in to the river/ stream. No privacy between sites. These site are below the top of the hill, camping on a slope. They also have a ledge of ground on the edge of site going down into the waters. Definitely can easily injure oneself if not careful. Most fire pits are at the edge of the site under the trees branches, not on flat land looking like it is going to fall and go into the river/stream. Quiet time is at 1030pm. This actually means silent time, lights out and go to bed. Can not sit around fire pit and talk. Booked 3 nights with family only stayed one night. Could not stay because of the owner stalking us at night and did not feel welcomed. Being watched all the time. Keep your money go elsewhere. Speedway near by, hear everything at the campground. Kind of exciting driving up and seeing a couple old campers set up like it was part of a theme park. Getting toward the office the road splits into a nice paved 3 lane rd. Excellent if there a few people checking in. The office is well presented, and an arcade next to it is a pristine 200 yr old barn. The roads were well maintained as it turned to dirt and gravel. No rain made potholes a very nice drive. The sites as we drove by were awesome. This place has great large deep private sites, angled very well for easy docking. The site we had 210 was a damn good site. Not far walking distance from office pool and other amenities. Trees were nice and solid and it was large enough for us to do extra. The fire pits were awesome, all large stones with others built up.. excellent on that one moosehillock. Everyone walking by had great attitudes, excellent vibes. Well except that one dude looked at me walking by jealous of my blackstone. Cons to get through quick cause we didn't have much. At $12 a bundle for wood, little steep usually paying $4-6 at other campgrounds. BUT!!!!! you can bring your NH born wood from wherever so that's a plus. No cell service but wifi if you are down around the office. By the way I met a camp worker David who was very professional and helped with every question and matter we had. 100 acres, over 500 sites to stay at rv cabins tents. This is a great place. We plan to go back next summer in season to check out the pool and other accommodations. Recommended for now. Update next season.

Only real complaint is if you're bringing kids, they don't have much in the way of activities during the evenings. They do the movie night in the pool once per week, but that's it. My kids said they much preferred Jellystone because they have different activities every night. If you're going with the intention to go do things offsite each day, I'd say this place is perfect. If you are planning to stay on site for your whole trip, I think there are better options. We also had a fox hanging out on our campsite for basically the whole week, but I'm not complaining, he didn't bother us at all.

It's in Belmont about an hour from Ossipee Lake and about a half an hour from Lake Winnipesaukee. It's a cute set up with a few tenting sites as well as a majority of RV and cabin sites. Definitely a seasonal place we're regulars spend their time. Quiet hours are after 10pm and fire had to be out before midnight. There are privacy fences around the few tent sites. When we forgot our paddles for one of our kayaks they let us use one for free. They had paddle boards and kayak rentals as well. The beach area was as nice as it could be but it did have a lot of floaties and a good amount of guck on the bottom. It wasn't a deep lake and it was filled with river weed and plant like to the surface just after the beach. Definitely don't want to fall in out of the beach area ! The owners hand delivered ice and fire wood whenever we called the front office, among other things. They wouldn't take our tips either. They even had a small store. All in all the place is cute, the owners are nice and when we were in last minute jam they were very accommodating !!

This year was the first year that mangy was horrible as the camp ground was sold to modern America and it use to be a family owned camp ground . No one was ever there to meet us to check us in or there when we had to return the gate key . The first visit my uncle who is handicap the bathroom shower seat broke when he was on it , one of the mgt was there and did nothing but put a sign on the bathroom "use caution shower seat broke " 5 weeks later they kinda fixed it. We started a fire and half the ground from the site went up as the site was full of pine needles and leaves that were never cleaned up. We were asked to move our car from the overflow parking lot when the same lady told us to put it there. The last night of our stay in Oct of 2023 there was domestic with a gun at the entrance and not one person of mgt was there but my husband was with the police. I am so upset with modern America They every went as far as not renewing another family memebers seasonal because she asked very nicely when they thought the shower seat would be fixed (after 4 weeks) she politely stated there are lots of elderly and disabled in the park an she was just wondering .

We don't care about the pool or wifi, don't care about what kinds of programming for families they may have, or any of the other things camp grounds are pushing these days. We want a somewhat private site, we want to be able to keep our fire going as late as we want (as long as it is under control), and we want to be able to keep our music playing at a reasonable level. We have never been told to put out our fire during quiet hours, or to turn off our music. We can stay up all night having a great time by the fire and playing cards without being broken up, but everyone plays by the same rules meaning it is not a wild place and we have never encountered other sites being too loud for our enjoyment. If you're looking for some old fashioned camping - even in an RV - where you can enjoy being outside with good company all night, this is a great spot. The staff has always been pleasant as well and the rates are comparable to nearby grounds.

Clearwater has a lake, but the lots are more jammed packed and not as spacious. Clearwater seems to be more family friendly with a playground, lake, etc. Meredith is more laid back and quiet. Meredith also has an indoor pool and hot tub which is nice. The staff at both places were very friendly and both have a nice store. We drove over to Clearwater to spend the day on the beach/lake. We rented kayaks which were very decently priced ($6 single, $12 double for 2 hrs.). The water was very clear and the beach was pretty large. The only downside to our camp site was a fence beside us. It made it feel a bit less woodsy. I also felt they could clean up around the store and grounds a bit. It looks a bit rundown. Same with the docks at Clearwater. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay. We would stay here again!

The property is well maintained and everything you could need will be delivered to you in what seemed like mere seconds. The small park for the kids was very clean as were the swimming pool and onsite facilities. Proximity to local attractions and great restaurants was also very convenient. Usually I like to offer some constructive critique for improvement, but I honestly can't think of one thing I would change or do differently. The only "problem" I have are my now high expectations of other parks. I feel like we need to make another trip somewhere else to see what the downsides to lesser parks look like!
