Very attentive service. Nice wine selection. Diverse menu. Delicious flavors and careful presentation. A little but pricey for some dishes but was comfortable paying a little more for the gorgeous setting. Truly the decor and ambiance create a pleasant and relaxing environment to enjoy your meal. Would definitely recommend if you don't mind the expenditure. La comida muy sabrosa y buen servicio. La selección de vinos muy buena también. El ambiente que han creado es relajante y lindo. Aunque es un restaurante un poco caro me parece que vale la pena.

One of my friends recommended this place. This restaurant was a dream. It was like a palace and was decorated with lights everywhere; poinsettias (which are native to this part of Mexico) and parts of the center of the restaurant were outdoors with a swimming pool right in the middle! * *The plates were exquisite with traditional tacos, but also octopus, to corn soup, churros and maracuya (passion fruit) eclairs. Service was also excellent! An out of this world experience!

    Outside patio area. Beautiful

    Beautiful at night!

Wonderful dinner, beautiful setting, great service! Everything we ordered was delicious and the staff were professional, attentive and friendly.

Extremely spacious and beautiful venue. Their cocktails were delicious and well made, with a ton of wine choices as well. Their local Queretaro wines were quite delicious, although they sold out of the cabernet and we had to get the blend. Their medium rare meat was good - not top of the line steak, but it was good enough. I would recommend the flatbread and empanadas over anything else. Their best item is the empanada. It ended up being nearly a 4 hour dinner due to staffing issues, or it could be cultural that people eat longer together.

The building is absolutely gorgeous. The dining room and patios are so charming. Their margaritas are perfection. The food was amazing, delicious and served hot. The staff were all very nice and attentive. My waiter, Eddy is really friendly and helped me pick what to order. I would definitely recommend this place for an upscale dining experience.

Spectacular! Beautiful during the day- sparkling pool and fountains, glorious display of flowers! Dramatic beauty at night with deep blues of pool lighting. The pool is the centerpiece surrounded by wings of the hacienda, sumptuously decorated in browns, golds and deep maroons. We were there for breakfast. We started with a pastry filled with almond paste and a cinnamon roll. Hubby followed with Huevos Rancheros and I had chilaquiles with scrambled eggs and fruit. The chilaquiles were excellent

Great service from the moment we walked in. Quick to attend us. If visiting on a busier day consider reservations ahead of time. The food was delicious. I highly recommend the enchiladas suizas. Ambiance and decor was top tier.

Absolutely gorgeous place! The food was good but expensive for what it is - paid $32USD for 4 mini tacos ($8USD each) which did not seem right hence the removal of one star. The burger itself was delicious though and very much worth the price. Did enjoy our visit as the ambiance was great for a visit to QRO

Can Mexicans cook Italian food in a Egyptian themed extremely nicely decorated restaurant. YES THEY CAN! This place is something to see. Food was great! Atmosphere amazing! You have to see in person. Service like every other restaurant in Mexico. Great until dinner is over then wait to get your bill. Guess they want you to hang out and chill

El lugar está muy bonito, pero es lo único que se puede decir, los precios de los alimentos son exagerados y lo que sirven bastante regular

On our final day of our short visit to Queretaro, we wanted a light and breakfast. We opened Yelp…read moreand found Cafe Breton, a cafe with French inspired cuisine. We started with mimosas which our waitress, Laura, told us we're 2 for the price of 1. YES, please! Laura came back with the pastry tray (pictured) and I chose the napoleon-style dessert. Then I ordered the "Petite Dejeuner" ("small breakfast"). My wife ordered the mushroom and spinach omelette. My petite breakfast was large - boiled egg (I requested hard boiled), jam, delicious crusty bread, emmentel cheese, Swiss cheese, a juice made fresh from carrots, rosemary, and other other goodies, ham, yogurt, muesli, honey, salad, house made salad dressing, fresh fruit, and more! The omelette was huge and had great flavor. It also came with some of the fresh juice and fresh fruit. SIDE NOTE: I watched as other plates were delivered to tables, and everything looked beautiful. We sat upstairs in the covered area, but there is also a downstairs area with seating if prefer to avoid the steps. Laura, was an outstanding waitress. She gave a good review of the menu, and made wonderful suggestions. She was very patient and helpful as I practiced my ordering in Spanish. I nearly forgot!! We took a slice of pear and almond tart to go. We plan to enjoy it during our bus ride to San Miguel de Allende. If you've not visited Cafe Breton, go get a table NOW! Thank me later with a juice or a cup of coffee!

As I had stated with my review of Bayonna in New Orleans, the menu is a rarity in that I would want to order everything on the menu. There is something for everyone, although I have to say that their liver pate is not to my taste, though it is delicious (it is too sweet and less savory than I prefer). The texture is wonderful. The Croque Monsieur is amazing. Whether under an umbrella or the pergola, El Vergel makes for a lovely, relaxed luncheon, and a nice break from the delicious Mexican food available all over SMA.
