I've been here a few times and always impressed. The wait staff are very knowledgeable about the specials and of the menu. If you aren't sure what to order, ask for a recommendation. It always seems to end up with a delicious dish in front of you. The atmosphere is open and welcoming, especially if you sit outside. We returned to Queretaro in February 2017 for a doubleheader. February 5 was the centennial of the signing of the Mexican constitution that had occurred in Queretaro's opera house, so El Presidente was in town to make a speech in the Plaza de Armas. Fortunately, Hanks overlooks the Plaza Constitucion, and we avoided that crowd. It was also Super Bowl Sunday and we got a nice table on Hank's veranda to watch the game! Being the Super Bowl, we spent about 5 hours at Hank's and had all sorts of hors d'oeuvres and drinks that were mytee tastee. The whole time we were there the service was snappy and congenial. We could not have had a better evening. (And that comeback win by New England flipped everybody out!) read more

I hate to admit liking this place so much, as it is very clearly Gringo food. We spent a month in Queretaro last summer, and it didn't take long to discover Hank's. We really did try to favor restaurants of more local cuisine, but, the food is so good at Hank's, and prices so reasonable compared with similar establishments back in our home town of Austin, Texas. We just found ourselves going back over and over. At happy hour, instead of 1/2 price, you get TWO drinks for price of one when you order... dangerous! We'll be back to Queretaro in the not too distant future, and likely will make our way to Hank's during our first week! read more

Just great. I was skeptical about an 'Nola Style' pub in QRO, but the food and service was just great. Also noticed a lot of folks in the bar area starting around 5pm. This is the place to come when you want to make a connection. The tuna steak was YUGE and with a bottle of wine, a couple of shots of tequila and dessert, we got away with less than $100 including 2 appetizers. Nice view of the square. read more
