If you're looking for a crispy, hot meal with delicious and well spiced meat, this is it. The shawarma was literally steaming after each bite, and the crispy bread around it made for a satisfying crunchy bite. Honestly, this shawarma rap has THE MOST satisfying crunch I've had, and I've eaten a lot of wraps in my life. I think that this is a good and safe option. Did I mention it's halal, which is a big plus! The server was also quite nice, I appreciated how he was patient, walked me through their menu, and gave us recommendations. The location has some tables and chairs inside. Honestly it's a simple shawarma place that you can't go wrong with. I personally like a few more veggies in my shawarma wrap, but I appreciated how delicious and crispy the food was.
What I got: Crispy Chicken Shawarma Wrap ($15.99) - 3/5 - it was not crispy but I didn't mind it that much. What I was not a fan of was that there was too much fries IMO as it really overpowered the chicken. Felt like I was eating fries wrap the whole time. But I liked the flavor, the chicken was not dry, and the pickles were crunchy and tasty. Cheese Sticks: ($5.99) - 5/5 - simple, but really good. I liked it with the Habibi sauce. I would come back just for this! Sauces : Habibi, Yogurt & Lemon ($0.35ea) - 5/5 I ordered online, but the girl who helped me was really sweet and friendly! The store looked pretty clean and organized too. Next time I will try their Shawarma Wraps and Shawarma Bites!
Genuinely so disappointed. I keep seeing their stuff on tiktok and every time it looks so good. So today I really wanted to try it and we drove 30 minutes for our pickup order of the crispy chicken and crispy beef shawarma wrap. When we finally got to try it, it was so hard and chewing it was difficult. Even worse the chicken was probably the driest chicken I've had. I was choking on every bite, not juicy at all! We asked the employees for the sauces but they said it was in the wrap already but I honestly don't taste it. Overall pretty disappointed in the food. The french fries inside the wrap made the already dry wrap even drier. By the end, my jaw was hurting from the excessive chewing.
On 9/9 went to try this place out. Place was nice and clean has some seating not allot. Staff was very nice! We tried the beef and chicken plate and fries. Food was good meat was a little dry but no bad.
Habibi Time is located in Newport Beach, near the Moulin plaza. There's plenty of shared parking. Ordering is done at the front register and usually brought out to your table depending how busy they are. They offer wraps, plates, bowls, sides, and baklava. All the food served here is HALAL. Mixed shawarma plate ($22) - This came with 8 oz. of tender chicken and beef shawarma, all served on a bed of basmati rice. Creamy hummus and a Mediterranean salad rounded out the plate. A pita bread was included to scoop up the hummus. Everything tasted great and I was stuffed by the time I finished. Overall the shawarma tasted fantastic! While the plate sounds a little pricey, it comes with 8 oz. of meat. The hummus was a little bit better than average. They have some limited indoor seating, and this place gets packed during the weekday lunch rush.
Habibi Time completely redeemed itself on our second visit! We tried the crispy chicken shawarma and the beef Habibi bites, and both were excellent--the chicken was crispy, flavorful, and juicy, while the beef bites were tender and packed with flavor. Everything tasted fresh, the portions were generous, and the overall experience was exactly what we were hoping for. I also really appreciated Ameer taking the time to respond to my original review. I'm glad we gave Habibi Time another shot because this visit was a great experience, and I'm happy to update my review accordingly!
We were in the area and looking for a quick byte. It was decent size restaurant. Food was flavourful and fresh. Sauces were good too. Liked the fries as well well seasoned and we asked for well done fries. Will come back next time we r in the area.
A solid 7.5/10 Overall, this place is pretty good. Not my favorite in Orange County or LA area, but since it's conveniently close to my work I get it every now and then. Flavors are there, though the chicken is always a little too dry for my preference. Definitely have to load it up with sauce, of which they have many options, but their garlic is by far the best. The prices are decent, but that's because the wrap is a little wanting on the fillings. I will say it was a bit disappointing, because their marketing/reels on social media look so delicious and incredible. It just didn't quite have that same presence in person... No comment on service or ambience because I've never been to the storefront, delivery only.

It's in a shopping plaza near the airport in Newport, surrounded by office buildings, and not somewhere I would have thought to visit otherwise. There was plenty of parking in the lot around 12:30 pm on a Saturday, although the store itself was packed with a line to order. I noticed that many people were ordering to go, so we managed to snag a table after ordering. I ordered the chicken shawarma wrap and asked for it to be "crispy." I didn't see that option listed, so I made sure they pressed it. Wow, that was AMAZING! Having it crispy on the outside was a nice touch, which contrasted from the soft texture inside. The chicken was very tender and full of flavor. It's has garlic sauce, but not a lot, so it may be worth asking for some on the side if you prefer it more saucy. Also, the wrap is on the smaller side, so maybe not the best option if you're hungry. We also ordered the loaded fries with beef to share among our group of 4. It was really filling! The beef was very tender, and the fries held up well under the toppings without getting soggy. I also liked the added crunch from the onions and cabbage. I didn't expect making a wrap crispy to be such a game changer, but it really was! It's definitely worth trying. And I'm ready to come back for another round.
Habibi Time is a solid 8/10 for me. It was our first time checking it out after seeing it on IG. The food itself is very tasty and customer service is great. It's hard to mess up shawarma. My favorite was the crispy beef shawarma wrap- highly recommend you get it crispy. Slather some garlic butter on it and bon apetit. I have to remove a star because I think it's extremely overpriced for what it is. Nonetheless, I am a huge shawarma fan and there's not much of it (if any?) in the area. I would be back to try more of their items. Portions can be improved if they're going to charge that much. It's in a little strip mall so plenty of parking.
Came here after a beach day and decided to try the Loaded Fries. Absolutely loved them and would definitely come back to try more of the menu! The portion was huge, so perfect for sharing or saving the rest for later lol. I also appreciated that they brought it out in half the expected wait time. Overall, super fast and super good!

The crispy chicken shawarma wrap was SO good! Definetly my new go-to spot. The wrap had a tasty crispy exterior and the chicken was juicy and flavorful with perfect amount of sauce and fries in the inside. Highly recommend, the food came out fast and the manager/owner was very kind & friendly and helped us decide what to get. 10/10 read more

OVERALL : Been meaning to check out this spot ever since seeing it online! The shop is a fast casual spot that serves different wraps, bowls, and sides, all with a bunch of sauce options. Their protein options were chicken, beef, or falafel. All the meat is halal! Service was super quick, and there is plenty of seating to eat inside the store. PARKING : Parking lot with plenty of spots on a weekend afternoon! FOOD/DRINKS : Chicken Shawarma Wrap (crispy option) - chicken shawarma, pita wrap, garlic sauce, habibi sauce, lettuce, pickles with fries inside -- def glad we got the crispy option. i wish the chicken was a bit more juicy, but overall still good with the sauces. the pickles and lettuce added an extra layer of freshness too! i would prob want to try the beef next time though. I got the crispy shawarma and loved how crispy they were but kinda had a burnt taste to it. I tried both the beef and chicken one, the meat was nice and tender but do think it lacked some flavor. The sauces on the side gave it some extra flavor. read more

The shawarma was 8/10 the sauce it came with was delicious definitely the highlight of the meal. Also delicious fries and pickles. One thing that I really didn't like was the hummus. Tastes very tart and just lacked flavor. Would give it a 1/10 didn't end up eating it. Besides that will definitely stop back for some shawarma. read more
