Here I am again to let you know to never buy anything from this place. They had my friend's wedding dress, which I actually can call her another daughter for a few months. And did nothing with it, but mutilated, destroy it, make it look like it came out of a trash can. And she tried to do everything to fix it herself. They had all this time. And when you look at the pictures, you should be appalled as well. This dress belonged to her now. Husband cousin, who was going through cancer. And it was supposed to be me memorable to her. And all they did was treat it like they had what better things to do? And they say that these people do party dresses or dresses for magazines.I highly doubt that. Bad, very bad, shame on this place. What a disgrace to up sale your clustered, messy store. read more

These ladies can make an Ao Dai and it fits in first fitting. I'm impressed. It fits with curves and all too.

SCAMMERS!!!!! This place will RIP YOU OFF!!! They'll rip off the younger generations who are not familiar with fabric prices! My sister came for a sheer lace fabric and only wanted 1/2 yard. They said they don't do 1/2 yard and that u have to buy minimum 1yard and it's $20/yard! Being the younger naive generation my sister went ahead and bought it! She goes home to tell my mom the price and my mom got so upset!! Said that should NOT have costed that much!!! She went back to the store to UNDERCOVER shop and asked for a few prices on a few fabric pieces! My mom asked about that EXACT piece my sister bought earlier in the day and was quoted ANY CUT FOR $10/YARD!!!!!! My mom then CONFRONTED them " THEN WHY DID U CHARGE MY DAUGHTER $20?!" SHOCKED!!! They were SPEECHLESS!!!! and made up some BS excuse saying that type of fabric is normally sold at $45 for 2 yds.. BUT my mom said BUT YOU JUST QUOTED ME 1/2 YD And FOR $10/yd EARLIER!!! My mom was hoping they'd refund the difference from my sisters quote to her quote but they refused! Saying for u we can make an exception but for her we don't normal cut small pieces like that! Such BS! Wtf?! SCAM!!!!! Clearly they try to RIP OFF younger people who aren't familiar with sewing and fabrics!! DO NOT SHOP HERE!!! Plenty of other HONEST Vietnamese fabric shop owners in the Little Saigon Area!! SAD that they would RIP OFF their OWN PEOPLE!! DO NOT SUPPORT!!!! read more

I was really hopeful for this shop since I saw so many fabrics from the photos. I was trying to find fabric for my ao dai for my ceremony next year. The store is a bit disorganized with fabrics just everywhere. Some fabrics were parts of dresses, so they were scraps of materials but not enough to make another dress. I was trying on different fabrics and trying to imagine if that would be the right pattern. No matter how hard I tried, I just wasn't interested in the fabrics. I think the quality is a bit off on the fabrics though. I found it really frustrating with the staff. I was asking so many times how much it would cost, how they would design the outfit, and trying to understand the timeline. They kept dragging their feet to answer me and it took me several times to ask until I actually got an answer. I would be speaking to them and they would automatically start talking to another customer because they thought they would have a better chance in making a same. I honestly almost just walked out because I felt they were wasting my time. I felt they were just trying to get me to say yes without knowing any details or setting expectations. That was really frustrating and I'm sure I won't be back read more

I needed an ao dai for a tea ceremony but I learned that pregnant women do not typically look amazing in a traditional ao dai. I went through shops at the asian garden mall, hoping to find the biggest ao dai that the stores had and was hoping to just alter it but I looked so bad in every single one. I was able to stop by this little shop because there was a lot of fabrics to choose from. I did not know what I really wanted in a dress but i knew I wanted something that looked semi-traditional. The ladies here just custom made a dress for another client and showed it to me and said this could work. So I trusted them and gave my fabric of choice. Took a month to make and about 2 alterations after to get it better fitted since I really wanted to accent the maternity bump and did not know how much bigger I would be at 8 months pregnant. I received so many comments on my dress and for being 8 months pregnant. It was such a hit! What I recommend if you do plan to come to the shop for a customized dress: 1. Have a photo ready with the style that you want 2. Choose a fabric of your choice from the store and if you need help pairing it, they are really good about trying to find the right colors to match 3. Give it about a month for them to work on it 4. Expect anywhere from $100-200 depending on the style and fabric 5. Expect to have 1-2 alteration fixes so it can better fit your body type read more

I had a Vietnamese ao dai headpiece (khăn đóng) made here. I brought the fabric and lace that I had left over from my custom-made ao dai. They said to come back in a month to pick up. When I came, the khăn đóng was too big even though they measured my head and forgot to apply the lace. When I returned the following week, they told me they lost my fabric and lace and used whatever they had. It did not match my ao dai at all. Upon further inspection, they used four different lace patterns and fabrics that did not match. Was not worth the $55. read more

We flew from Texas to Cali and this was one of our purpose is to find some Ao Dai for my SIL wedding that is coming up in November. We have been searching from one shop to another but didn't find what we were looking for. Either other shops selections were very minimal or the shop owner were rude. After 5 shops we finally walked into this one. WOW... They selections of fabric were unbelievable. Aisles & walls of all type of different colors and materials of fabric. Minor problem is that it's not the neatest store you can walk into. There's even fabric tuck into showcases also. There were two ladies there that was very very helpful. They cater to all of our needs and showed us every fabric we wanted to look at. They even gave us suggestions and ideas on what we should for and type of styles we can create out of these fabric. Needless to say we ended up purchasing all of the brides & grooms family Ao Dai here. The best thing is that you can get yourself measured & the Ao Dai made here. Best Part.. We lived in Texas and they're willing to ship it us for free. I highly recommend this place. read more

I just had my Dam Hoi this past Sunday and I could not have been any happier with my custom ao dai. My mom, aunt, friend and I drove up to bolsa 3 weeks prior to my date which also happens to be a week after Vietnamese new year. And if you're Vietnamese and live in SoCal- you know that this area is intense and all ao dai shops are incredibly busy and prices are marked up a bit more. We traveled to 6 different shops before choosing this one.. It was a long day. They had a good selection of fabrics and were incredibly friendly compared to our other experiences at the other shops. My dam hoi was on 2/14 and they said it would be ready 2/25 and told them unfortunately that would not work, but they weren't pushy and made an exception to have it done the day before (2/13). They just told us to call them 3 days prior to remind them. I chose my fabrics and they measured me and we were were on our way home. The price was a total of $170 for a custom ao dai and I am perfectly fine with that because the other shops were $250 for the same selection of fabrics. ALSO! They gave us the price $170 prior to them knowing that this needed to be "expedited" and did not charge us extra. The women there were very nice and incredibly helpful. If I had a custom ao dai made here in SD-- it would have cost $250 with fewer selection of mundane fabrics. Anyway.. I was nervous picking up the day before my dam hoi because what happen if it doesn't fit?! Right?! Especially reading the other reviews of having to go back 2-3 times to get the right fit! I didn't have that luxury since I live in SD and they were busy due to the NY... Luckily though, I'm fairly proportional and my body is not weird lol.. So I tried it on and it fit like a fckn glove! Success!! It was so beautiful!! I definitely would recommend this shop- they were easy to work with and absolutely delightful and especially accommodating. read more

Too bad Yelp won't let me give negative stars because seriously, DO NOT GO HERE!! Go anywhere (ANYWHERE!) else but here! The employees are super nice until after you pay them. Then you will receive damaged, ruined, untailored dresses. The women told us to return at 3pm. At 4pm they were just starting to work on it. We were there until 4:30pm and ended up just taking the ao dais and leaving with them worst off. One of them was so bunched up at the arms yet the employee kept telling us it's supposed to look like that. Then our other ao dai was too tight. The third was not even completely sewn and the zipper just came off. There was even a stain that was not there before. Super unprofessional employees. I will never return here EVER again. They told us they were late on time because we wanted it fixed.....well that is the point of us leaving it there for hours and having it tailored. If we would have known that we were paying for ao dais that slightly fit then we would have never purchased them to begin with. Even when we tried it on and it didn't fit, they were working on other people's clothing instead of fixing it like they should have hours ago.....not when we were there again and waiting. Good luck with trying to get any sort of apology from them. They just ended screaming and yelling at us like uneducated fools. This place is a complete joke! Hopefully they go out of business soon because no one deserves to be scammed and treated like this! read more

I'm sharing with you my experiences (positive and negative) as a customer coming here in the past few years. PROS: Most of the fabrics in this Ha Lua Dao shop are imported from Vietnam with decent quality and has a decent selection to choose from. Tailors/ seamstress can do a variety of clothes alterations. Bring pictures (in magazines or phones) to show them EXACTLY how you want your clothes to be sewn or else they will mess them up. CONS: Must call SEVERAL TIMES before coming or else your clothes will NOT be ready for pickup as they frequently give out false promises. Try on your clothes b/f leaving this shop - Asian policy NO RETURN/ NO EXCHANGE ALWAYS BARGAIN for the best price for any purchases or alterations. The two sisters who look almost like twins owned this shop and tend to make up the prices as they go along. The fitting room near the back door has a terrible stench smell which has been there for years and "no restroom" for emergency situations. They demand you to pay them the full amount before they begin working on your clothes. ALWAYS ask for a receipt with the word PAID on it and present it to pick up your clothes or else they will force you to pay full price AGAIN even for their long time customer(s). NOTE An employee by the name "NGA" (short curly hair w/ glasses in her late 50s-60s) is a horrible, paranoid, obnoxious, low-life scumbag person who tends to trash talk about her customer(s). She stalked on her customer(s) and their family relationship; added her salt-and-pepper and gossipped false info. When being confronted, she lied about it, a very coward person!!!! Stay away from this woman with low moral and virtue. Why bother coming here when you as a customer is NOT getting the respect and the good service that you deserved? read more

4.5 stars for my custom ao dai and 3 stars for the customer service. To give my myself time and leeway, I came to get my ao dai custom fitted 8 months before my wedding in November 2015. They do have a nice collection of fabrics compared to other ones in and around Asian Mall. My wedding ao dai turned out great after coming back to the store a few times for adjustments. Overall, I think they did a great job on my ao dai. Like any other Asian services, don't expect them to be punctual and alway give yourself extra time to avoid the frustration. read more

Save yourself time, money and stress. Avoid this place because they have rude employees who will actually yell at you if you tell them that the measurements aren't fitting. We had our bride's ao dai made here and it was a nightmare. We live in LA so all of our returning visits to this place was extra annoying. They messed up the measurements, and would just nod at your requests (without taking down the notes). When you receive the dress and see that they did not even address any of your concerns, you'll end up having them fix it three additional times. The end product will be tattered up with the threading and beading blatantly damaged. They'll then argue with you that you never told them that this and that, because they don't actually communicate with one another. The person consulting you on the dress, the one measuring you, the one who makes the dress, none of them relay information to each other and they all take turns passing the blame. We left the dress with them and ditched our deposit of $110, went to Thanh Thuy and they nailed it on the first try. read more

I came here to get a custom-fit traditional Vietnamese dress (ao dai) for my sister's engagement party (dam hoi). The dress turned out great! Fabrics + labor for a complete ao dai in 1 week cost $130 ($100 deposit). Bring cash because if you pay with card, there is a fee. Also bring the shoes you plan on wearing when you get measured and when you try on the dress. You should also probably wear the right bra to get measured because the ao dai is very form fitting at the top. I was nervous about the whole process because my Vietnamese isn't great, but the woman I worked with was super nice and helpful. She understands English, although it is easier for her to respond in Vietnamese. Since I came alone, she was really helpful in guiding me through the process and taking pictures for me to send my mom for a second opinion. I showed her and another employee some pictures and described the color and type of fabric I was interested in and they brought several different options to me. I chose a semi sheer fabric (no embellishment) so they sewed in an extra lining to my dress. I called the shop 2 days before our agreed upon pickup date and confirmed everything was ready. The dress turned out beautifully. It is fitted well and the construction is good. They can do any fitting adjustments while you are there in the shop, so I had my pants hemmed. My family is really happy with the dress as well, and plan on getting more dresses made for the wedding ceremony. Overall I had a great experience and would definitely come back! read more

So they have potential to do a great job, you just have to prepare to come back 4 times & repeat yourself. I guess you get what you pay for. Both my sister & I came here to get our ao dai done for our engagement. First time around, it was for my sister. She's from Rancho Cucamonga (San Diego) so she had drive 1 hour & a half to come here. She had to come back THREE times until they finally got her dress right, but they did a shitty job w/ her other dress so she ended up not even wearing it for her engagement photos. The Ao dai came out nice, but I don't understand why she had to come back 3 times & REPEAT to them what to do. I swear it's like these women don't care what you say, they just do what THEY think looks good according to their standards. Recently, I came to get my ao dai done for my an hoi. So since I know these ladies need very specific direction, I had to make sure I did everything far ahead before my ceremony. I made sure to clear 2 whole days for them. I ordered my dress (bridal dress) & my sister ordered her's. We were extremely specific in our details & how we wanted the sweetheart shape to look because we remember that was one of the confusions a year previously for my sister's dress. So we paid our deposit & came back a few weeks later to the promised date they said it would be ready. Guess what? It was NOT finished, & they didn't even START on my sister's dress. We came at 12pm because we knew we were going to have to have things altered again because we know these ladies don't know how to take directions. We left & came back at 5:30pm that day, they promised it would be finished with our specific requests. We ended up cancelling my sister's dress order because they just didn't know how to keep it together. Again, they did not do the sweetheart how I wanted. They tried to make their job easier by forcing me to think that what I wanted was ugly & what they did looked good. Wtf? I don't pay you to do what YOU want, I'm paying you for a service to do what I want it to look like. The sweetheart looked like a tube top & they kept trying to convince me it looked good. Then they said if I wanted to change it again, it would take another couple days. I SNAPPED. I told them I'm a business owner & don't have time to drive 2 hours here & back. I know it does NOT take a couple days just to fix a 3x3 area right between my bosom area. This is called LAZY. They kept saying it was impossible to fix, but the moment I lost my patience & started raising my voice, suddenly they said it was doable & it would be ready at 7:30pm. So I left to have dinner & came back, again they did NOT follow direction. They did NOT cut out the area I specifically told them, 3 times now, to remove. One lady was disrespectful & yelled at my sister, repeating herself over & over saying it was impossible... When clearly they had just promised that it WAS possible to do. These ladies are rude & lazy. If you have a lot of time on your hands to repeatedly come back, by all means, come here. However, I was here from 12pm-9pm, & I drove 2 hours to get here & another 2 hours back to San Diego. Good thing I lied about my real ceremony date & had this thing done earlier than the date I was having my engagement. I would've been f-cked because these ladies kept claiming "it would take a couple days". ONE good thing that came out of this, they ended up giving me a discount for all the inconvenience. I can't believe how rude they were, after all the business we provided for them. My sister referred 6 different brides here, & that's the thank you we get. Never coming back! I'm a very patient person, but wow these ladies challenged me on a whole different level... They need to learn how to talk to customers. We are not children you can just yell at for a shitty job that YOU did. Follow.... directions... How hard is that? read more

This is my first time getting ao dai sewing because my mom wants me to wear it for my wedding. I checked yelp before I went and tried to keep an open-mind. First impression this place is huge with a big selection of fabric That was all the good impression I had for this store. The rest was horrible. Customer service sucks, which I never have any high expectations when going to Vietnamese places, especially in Westminster. They were all busy to chat or keep losing track of helping me, their customer. Then, it comes to price and lies.... One of the lady was like oh if I choose this silk, it's gonna be $90 for just the ao dai (top). If i choose the lace, it's gonna be $140. Then after I called and talked to my mom, because I had known nothing about getting an ao dai myself, came back and asked if she can do the whole set (ao dai and pants). She said alright $140. I was like can you do $100. I mean adding a pants is almost 2/3 the price of the top??? We agree at $110 in the end Then, i, of course called my mom again to double check, come back to decide to add a dress. it's just a simple long gown, white lace with silk layer. She said $250, which I guess somehow "mistakenly" understand $250 for everything. Which the price makes sense because a dress is just like an ao dai, without the arms. Not until the end, I was told $250 for just a dress. I mean come on, your shitty material lace and labor cost $250? FYI, I just bought a brand new Vera Wang gown at Bloomingdale for $200+ plus tax... and it has a guaranteed return policy... right after I left your store. Anyway, that's enough for the pricing part. Now on the deposit part. At first, a dress and an ao dai, the deposit is $80 for $350 total. fine that somewhat makes some senses. However, after talking to my mom, now I decided we just do the ao dai (top) like the original plan. They jacked up the price to $120 and swore they never said $90! ever! I also overheard someone called them and ask the price, and they said $90 for a regular ao dai. Anyway, they said no pants, it's $100 in the end, but I have to deposit $70. I mean wtf... this doesn't make any sense. If I spent this much time to get the right material and measurement, I won't just waste and go somewhere else, especially I drove more than a hour to go here. I'm fine with paying deposit, but this amount is not right. What if something wrong and you don't want to fix it... am I just gonna lose $70? At this point, I am too tired with their flip flopping and being so embarrassed with my fiancée - a white dude, who doesn't understand anything. They thought because my wedding is so close, I will accept whatever price they say. Wrong! They are not the only store in westminster. I also have an extra ao dai from my cousin, which is my backup plan. A cheap business doesn't mean lying and dishonest! I'd never ever recommend this store to anyone. if anyone wants to try, bring your mom, your aunt or whoever can bargain. Also, make sure to keep track of whatever they are saying too read more

I came here just to peruse some fabrics while I was visiting but I ended picking out the most unique and beautiful piece of fabric for my wedding ao dai. The store is stuffed with different fabrics so it can be pretty overwhelming to look through. I asked one of the ladies for assistance and was helped by Hang. She was really friendly and she really knows her inventory. I explained to her what I was looking for and she went to some hidden back area and brought out the all sequined fabric that I had in mind, down to the color! I don't know if I got swindled because my Vietnamese speaking skills are not that good, but she made me feel like I was getting a good deal. Haha oh well. I loved the fabric so much I couldn't say no! Hang also offered to sew my ao dai when it is closer to the wedding and gave me a discounted price. I live in Sacramento but if I can't find anyone willing to make my ao dai for that price, I just might come down to get it done here. Any excuse to visit! read more

Whaaaaa happened to all the fabric stores in Little Saigon!?! I was born and raised in the area, and grew up with a grandma who frequented these types of stores almost weekly. I was gone for about 4 years for school and came back now with my own personal quest to find fine ao dai fabric and was left with what I felt to be slim pickin's... except at Lua Dao! They had walls and walls of hanging fabric from Viet Nam! I went in and found the fabric I wanted immediately (I'm pretty picky so that was a feat!) I found a pink fabric with embroidered/sequined phoenix in the front... I was in love. The saleslady helped to put the vision of the ao dai together in front of the mirror. She also pulled some other fabrics similar to the style and color I wanted and wasn't SUPER pushy (which is very valuable in Little Saigon because tiger Vietnamese salesladies are very common here). The saleslady did however try to tell me that she thought she liked this one other fabric better than the one I had picked out (kinda rubbed me the wrong way but it was probably just me being a slight Bridezilla haha). I have commitment problems, so I dragged my mom out to another store to keep looking even though I was in love haha, and the saleslady there was very friendly and told us to remember her and come back if we don't find anything else and gave us her business card. Oh, she knew she was good... we came back. I tried to haggle and got 10 dollars off ($180 to $170; maybe I should have let me mom do it and could have gotten more but I like to act independently haha). $50 deposit and was told to come closer to my dam hoi date to get fitted (~2-3 weeks to complete an ao dai). Oh, and pictures were encouraged prior to purchase (so rare in Little Saigon fabric stores)! Store was a little cramped, but most stores in this area are as well. We then looked around for fabric for my mom and aunt. Aunt was easy to win over, but Mother was picky, if not pickier than I! The saleslady told us that they will get a new shipment in 2 weeks if mom and aunt wanted to come back then to look (they did... did I want to wait too??? Nahh, it's love, right?) So, we will be back to get more fabric for ao dais and to get me fitted!... Will update! I'm so excited! I agreed with the last review by Phuong. They can do a good job but with super close supervision and direction from you and be prepared for some headache and confusions along the way. I custom-made Ao dai for my engagement ceremony and my bridesmaids, a total of 5. The bridesmaids' dresses turned out beautiful and only needed one fitting to finish since we selected very simple design for them. The girls loved their Ao Dai so much and didn't even want to take them off at the first fitting. On the other hand, my Ao Dai took 3 visits to finish, and they had to remake the whole dress after my first fitting since the first one didn't turn out anywhere close to my expectation( they offered to re-do it with no extra cost since there was no way to fix what they had created, which was a pleasant surprise I have to admit.) My dress was a bit more complicated, I wanted sheer veil at the shoulders and chest with laces embroidered. Luckily they turned it around and pulled it off the second time. I gave myself about 1 month and a half to get the dresses done, I got my dress 1 week before the event. In the end, it was all good and we got so many complements on the dresses. Was I nervous? Yes! Would I recommend them, yes if you come to them with simple designs in your mind. If not you better give them pictures and clear instructions of what you want. I literally need to send them so many sample pictures for the dress and go over with them every single detail - the collar, the embroidery, the zipper, the sweetheart neck, the sleeves, etc. After all, I am very happy with my Ao Dai. It looked elegant and classy with a twist of modern. The ladies there were nice and helpful, but don't let them talk you into something that doesn't look good. They have their way of convincing you to accept the sub-par while they are capable of doing better. If you want to have great dresses without breaking a bank then go with them for sure. I had a horrible experience at this store. Before coming here, I was concerned with their low ratings on Yelp, but thought perhaps I could still just stop by to see it for myself. Well... I should've run away during my first meeting with the owner. She initially priced me $140 for a simple ao dai tan thoi (dress only, no pants). Then after she took my measurements, I noticed the invoice said $150. Guess what? She said she forgot the $10 discount she gave me just 10 minutes ago!!! Uh huh...sure lady. Furthermore, my ao dai didn't fit me properly...even after the 3rd fitting! Either they took my measurements wrong or didn't use enough fabric, but the dress was really tight. And after 2 weeks of driving back and forth from LA to OC...I basically just gave up! Do yourself a favor and just run way from this store. Don't be like me...I wasted my money and time coming here. The low reviews are 100% accurate. read more

Since I was already there I figured I would check out what all they had, but before I could really look at anything she told me she was closed. She then followed me around the store telling me that that they don't have trim and they are closed as other customers continued to shop and try on clothes. Do not waste your time here unless you were Asian because it was very clear since I didn't speak the language I was not welcome. I really review on yelp so me stopping and taking the time to write a post should explain enough. Don't waste your time, money, or gas!!!! read more

Lua Dao custom-made a red Vietnamese wedding dress for me and am very happy with the style and detail work that was done. I don't speak a word of Vietnamese, biy that was no problem. I brought pictures of dress styles I liked and the tailors did a really beautufuk job. I hope to follow up after the wedding with more pictures! read more

I just left this shop and Imma write all my thoughts and feelings here before I attempt to unhealthily repress everything deep inside and/or self medicate myself with wine and herbs--well, until my wedding day when I have to put on my outfit from here! Ahh, le sigh! Ever wonder what makes a person go HAM, snap, go ape shit, give someone ulcers and subsequently metamorphasize into a BITCH or BRIDEZILLA? Simple answer: DIS PLACE! Let's start off at the beginning. My fiancé and I live in Oceanside, about an hour away. For Tet, my fiancé's Mom & Step-Dad came out from South Carolina so we embarked on an arduous mission in Lil Saigon to find wedding ao dai and this was the shop that presented itself best, at the time!--Seriously, this place is terrible so imagine how bad the other stores were for us to choose this place! Anyways, I think they must've drugged us but their super sweet demeanor, tongues of honey and vast selection of fabric as it won us over that day. They told us to come back in April since our wedding was quite awhile away, which we did. In April, we came back, this time my Mom came out from Utah for vacation and she accompanied us. They took our measurements, I MMSed one of the ladies pictures of what we wanted and she promised us she'd do it. In total that day, I ordered my Mom's ao dai, my bridal ao dai, my fiancé's groom ao dai and then 2 children's ao dai for my nieces. I had read reviews on Yelp and knew to give myself extra time, just in case, so we told the ladies we would need everything ready to pick up the first weekend in July, which they agreed. Fast forward to June and more shitty reviews were posted on Yelp, which I of course read and began to build my anxiety! I started having lil visions throughout my work days of the worst case scenarios and it was making me sick. I called my Mom and gave her the info for the store and had her call the day before our pick up date--remember we gave them 3 months which they said was plenty of time to complete everything. Anyways, my Mom calls me back and they only had my Mom's ao dai finished--the damn day before our arranged pick up date! They hadn't even started on the other 4, WTF?!? They told my Mom to have us come the following weekend and things would be done. So we had to re-arrange our schedule cause it's not that easy to drive 2+ hrs roundtrip to pick up ao dai. Anyways, we come the next weekend and they hadn't even started on my 2 nieces' ao dai and my fiancé's and mine were in the beginning stages, imagine cut up pieces of fabric, no freaking buttons or anything?!? The ladies that ran the store acted all non-chalant about it and as if it weren't a big deal!!! They had us try on the pieces of cut out fabric and retook measurements and I once again MMSed one of the ladies pictures of what we wanted. We sheepishly agreed to come back the next weekend. The next weekend our fabric was semi turned into ao dai but once again not finished and once again, they hadn't started my nieces'! My ao dai was tight around the décolletage and they made a fuss about having to let it out! Seriously, my boobs were that size when they measured them initially. Shit's not gonna grow 2 cup sizes even with push up bras and miracle creams-which I don't need, just saying! Also, my fiancé's ao dai was nothing like the picture I had sent and directions we had given. So once again, we sheepishly gave them another week. Anyways, it all ended today. Upon inspection, my Mom's ao dai is gorgeous and as promised, my 2 niece's ao dai look totally different, even though they are the same fabric and almost the same size, clearly 2 different people made them. I'm too weak/too near my limit to say anything. They're lil kids so I hope nobody notices. On this day, I'm just glad they're done. My fiancé tried on his with khan dong and his is perfect! My ao dai on the other hand, you can see pulled threading everywhere and I mean everywhere! Marks from the fabric marker to do adjustments is everywhere and there are fabric cracks everywhere!!! Where they had to let it out on my chest, you can see all the holes where the stitches were and gah, it's not what I envisioned but it's done and fits--well, somewhat! I just wanted it all done. I clearly had given up at this point and wanted to take what we had and get the hell outta dodge and never return. This is where the shitty cherry on top comes in. A lady whom I have never seen during all the numerous forced visits to the store tried to ring me up for the remaining money. I pulled out my card and handed it to her. Bitch had the nerve to tell me if it weren't cash then she was going to charge me supplemental tax!!! Ahhh, hell no! I grabbed my card out of her cold, heartless hands and found the lady that I had seen every time and she ran my card, without tax. I WILL NEVER RETURN AGAIN! COME HERE IF YOU WANT STRESS, DIARRHEA, HAIR LOSS, LOSS OF APPETITE AND REALLY SHITTY ITEMS IN EXCHANGE FOR YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY! Mic drop! read more

Worst customer service ever! Came back 4 times for my ao Gai and they still didn't make it right. They forgot about my bridesmaid ao Gai and didn't make it on time for the engagement party. What kind of business is this? Collect someone's deposit and when we come for it at the promise date the dress wasn't even started on? RUN AWAY. read more

Poor quality and not so great prices. I'm better off hemming and altering my ao dai by myself. read more

I came here because my friend had gotten her ao dais made for her wedding for herself and her mom without any major issues and they turned out beautifully. I believe that they do very good work and the ao dais I ordered turned out very nicely but it was a constant battle to get them done in a timely manner. Firstly, I live in San Diego and most all of my bridesmaids live out of town, with the closet one being in LA. Getting measured and picking out fabrics was fine and they agreed to have everything ready the first weekend of May, which they wrote down. I ordered one for myself, 4 for bridesmaids, and 1 for my mom. They agreed to make my mom's dress early because my friend was going to drive up to SJ and have my mom try it on. I've never heard any business who's system for completing orders is for the client to call and remind them to do it. We had to call at least 3 times and I made 2 separate trips from San Diego with the promise that it would be done in one week. They always had ready excuses like their tailor had oral surgery or they just needed more time. I'm not sure why there's not more organization. I also had to call multiple times to make sure my bridesmaids dresses were completed and had contacted them 1 week before I wanted to pick up (which is what they told me to do). They were not ready and they insisted I come the following week because someone was going on vacation for a week. I had said I needed to pick it up on the day we had agreed on because I had a bridesmaid in town and wanted her to try it on and have it fixed if necessary. They asked me to have her change her travel plans. I told them se was flying and she couldn't just change her plans. I'm the end I had to pick it up the week after. If you're considering having your ao dai made here I highly recommend that you live close by and are willing to make several phone calls and micromanage your order as well as then make several trips to pick up your order. If you are out of town, I would recommend you find another place that is more organized and doesn't cause you more anxiety for an already stressful process. read more

Terrible place with horrible people. Came here to get a custom ao dai for a wedding and had specific directions on how it should look. I put down my deposit and came back after two weeks to find out that my ao dai was done incorrectly. It wasn't how I specified it to be and I told them such, however they refused to remake it, had me pay for this unwanted ao dai AND an additional $50 to make it the way I had wanted it originally! I agreed to it and they told me to return in 3 weeks. When I came back they didn't even have the ao dai done and proceeded to tell me that it was my fault it was done incorrectly and it was my fault that the ao dai wasn't finished. Terrible place with even worst customer service. DO NOT go to these women UNLESS you want to be scammed out of $200. read more
