You can buy new furniture, of course, but you'll likely spend a lot of money for something that will fall apart in a few years. They just don't make 'em like they used to. There's not a lot of hardwood frame furniture coming out of China these days. So, if you've got quality old furniture consider reupholstering it. I reupholstered a vintage (now 30+ years old) 9' sofa and chair-and-a-half 10 years ago. Decent job, but not close to the quality provided by Decorative Fabric and Furniture House. Fast forward 10 years to the present and it was looking shabby, so I decided to refurbish it again. Received my DFFH reupholstered furniture today. Much better fabric. Much better reupholstering quality. Fabric pattern centered/aligned. Piping sharp. Nothing slipshod about it. Patrick was a big help from the get go. Patient. Knowledgeable. Nice. No hard sell, just wants you to be happy. And, THIS IS IMPORTANT, they don't try to gouge you at DFFH. Good product for a good price. You don't find that very often these days. I'm a FV resident, so am happy to sing the praises of a deserving local business. Patrick is the bomb. Guys who reupholstered and delivered my furniture (didn't catch their names; my bad) were also excellent and handled everything with care. Good experience. You could do worse. You could do a LOT worse.

I wanted to buy ribbon various color sizes and types. When I walked towards the back of the store to look at the ribbon, I was flabbergasted!!! my eyes open so wide my mouth dropped open. I had just stepped into ribbon heaven. I came away with maybe 20 different ribbons, maybe 5 yards each and $48 bill. Well worth it. I wanted various types to make ribbon book markers. I bought 4 silk dresses on my first visit with the help of the owner. I can't believe the price is so affordable. My mom just paid $60 to have her áo dài tailoring, so when I showed her my ao dai and told her the price her jaw dropped. Today I bring my mom to the shop and the owner shows us the new style just came in doesn't have zipper. My mom buy 4, I buy 6 and she enjoys chatting with friendly owner help her try on and pick the size and matching pants. I wear ao dai size M, but size L on pants because I wear heels, my mom fit pant size M because she doesn't wear heels. All the pants have the expanded rubber on both sides so you don't have to worry if you gain or loose couple inches of the waist line. Can't wait to have my American students wear them for our charity fashion show supporting poor children in Vietnam, and I don't have to bother to ask relatives to make and bring ao dai back to US anymore.

I don't understand why some people have the worst, most scammy personality and minds. If you want traditional Vietnamese clothing, nowadays you can just buy it from reputable stores online. Also the area this store is located in is not safe, especially for women and kids. There are a lot of homeless people around who wander in the store sometimes or fall asleep in front of the doorway after they pass out from doing drugs. Be very careful with your family and belongings.
