The water here is very hard and needs to be filtered of contaminants. I investigated quite a few systems and decided on the EC5 system from Rainsoft and the Ultrefiner Reverse Osmosis (RO) system for under our kitchen sink. The systems were installed by High Quality Water & Air, and our salesperson was Matt Hall. The system was not the least expensive of the systems we evaluated (including Culligan), but the company was highly rated and the system got good reviews. We're nearing the end of the first year, and we have been very satisfied. The installation went smoothly because we had added a loop for the softener in our garage when we built our house. The typical way to install the drinking water RO system is to drill a hole through the kitchen counter and install a faucet. We didn't want them to drill through our new island countertop, so High Quality Water & Air suggested an alternative. They installed the system as usual under the sink and tapped into the water line that runs to our refrigerator. We get our drinking water from the fridge. The only disadvantage is that the water comes out more slowly than it would have from a faucet at the sink.

The company answered my call promptly and offered to send their technician, Mike, to do the work for me between 10 AM-12PM. Mike arrived within the window, was very pleasant and professional and took care of everything in 15-20 minutes. His work was great and he was very neat. My only issue was the cost. I considered it to be very high- over $500 for less than 1/2 hour. But, I accepted it because of the urgency of my request. I rate Mike a 5, and the company a 3 because of the cost.

I ended up going with Twin Lake Air and could not be happier. They were not only less expensive than all the others, whose prices were up to 90% higher than Twin Lake Air's bid, but dealing with them didn't involve listening to an up to one hour "sales pitch" as to "Why my company is so great". Clayton gave me a printed quote in one day that clearly spelled out what they would do. Twin Lake Air completed the job yesterday and all I can say is they did a wonderful, professional job, and the Goodman 17.1 SEER unit they installed is so quiet, it is hard to know if it is running. I highly recommend Twin Lake Air for your HVAC needs.
