I have to agree with the comment above - this hotel was perfect for our 3 day stay in Barcelona. The staff was super friendly and the glass of cava upon checking in was an awesome start to our trip. Our double room was clean, modern, spacious and well-laid out. It was pretty quiet, as we were facing the back parking lot and did not hear any street noise. I had completely forgotten I had booked us for the Romantic Package (I remember it being a pretty fair deal on booking.com in comparison to the regular package) so it was a pleasant surprise returning to our room after the FC Barcelona match to find a bottle of cava and some chocolate covered strawberries :)
The location was perfect, just a half a block away from Catalunya metro stop and a few blocks away (maybe 10-15 minute walk) from Passieg de Gracia if you're taking the train from the airport. It was really nice to be close to, but not in the midst of, the madness that is La Rambla. If you need a quick lunch or breakfast, there are plenty of restaurants nearby, including a French-style cafe/marketplace across the street (good for a quick breakfast/snack and coffee). However, for more traditional and less touristy food I would head elsewhere. Also, there is a convenience store a few doors down that is open late, which is perfect for a bottle of water, wine, or snacks. The breakfast buffet is pretty decent and well-rounded if you book it in your reservation, but I'm not sure I would pay 12 Euro for it if you did not.
All in all, we loved the hotel for its amenities, location, and superb service. The price was only slightly higher in comparison to other places we were looking at but I don't regret a thing. We would stay here again and will definitely recommend it to our friends! read more
