These guys might know a thing or two about elevators, but their parents must have failed to teach them how to be decent human beings to people. Is it that my neighbors are not the ones who hired them that they think they don't deserve common decency? Get the job done and alienate me from those who live and work to the left and right of me? Had to spend thousands of dollars to repair their shoddy work…read more I had a terrible experience with Southern Elevations & Shoring when I hired them to fix my house's foundation. Not only did they perform shoddy work, but they also violated several codes that were in place to ensure the safety of those living in the house. The pillars they built under my house don't even connect to the floors properly, which caused significant problems that we had to spend thousands of dollars to fix. The company also demonstrated a poor work ethic, leaving debris and trash on my property and not communicating effectively throughout the process. When I contacted the company in the hopes to fix their work, they never responded. I cannot express enough how disappointed I am in the work that was done by Southern Elevations & Shoring. It's frustrating to have paid good money for a service only to have to spend even more money to repair their mistakes. I would strongly advise against using this company for any work, and I will be reporting their code violations to the appropriate authorities. Tazz Hitt, the lead plumber, contacted me directly, arrived promptly, and walked me through everything he was doing. He performed a thorough inspection of the generator, gas meter, and lines, explaining the process and safety considerations along the way. Thankfully, no leak was found on my property--we believe the smell may have been coming from a neighboring line--but having that level of diligence gave me real peace of mind. I also want to highlight Tina in the office, who was incredibly kind, responsive, and clearly advocated for getting me same-day service given the situation.
