For the food court - I've been coming here for the $4.95 black bean sauce noodles for almost a decade. It never seemed to increase in price, probably just the vegetable toppings have changed... I usually come here after walking around Robson, not wanting to eat at a sit down restaurant or a McDonald's. This is the only decent food court in the downtown area. They've recently upgraded the menu so it's easier to read. There's a lot of Korean customers dining so I trust its authenticity. After 5 or 6pm the boxed lunches and sushi start to go on sale. But make sure you come before 8 as it doesn't take orders after that. The aunties clean up the tables really quickly too. 0_0 For the supermarket - I occasionally find nice items on sale but produce is generally more expensive. read more

Great tiny Korean food court! They have a nice selection of Korean dishes and some " Chinese" (Korean Chinese) ones too. They also have a sushi place and a Japanese curry place which serves good katsudon. The portions are enough, the flavors are great, there are many Korean costumers which is always a good sign, and the prices are good too. I've had the Bibimbap (careful with the hot pepper paste below the egg), the beef stew, and the rice cake soup, all delicious. read more

Finally found an asian market that is conveniently located in downtown area at Robson street which is perfect if you're looking to satisfy your asian food cravings. They carry pretty much everything that you need - instant noodles, korean pastes, vegetables, drinks, snacks, meat etc. There are two levels - the first floor consists of a bakery that sells a variety of bread and pastries while the second floor is the market itself. Also, on the second floor there is a mini foodcourt at the corner near the cashier area where you can find ready made sushi, korean dishes at very cheap prices, at least the cheapest so far. This will definitely be my favourite place to hangout while I'm here! read more

They sell all things Korean! When you're too lazy to venture to Richmond, why not just stop by H Mart instead since it's smack dab in the middle of Robson St? read more

I know this is not about the food, but about the store in general. I actually enjoy the food there but didn't know where to leave this review. Every time I go into the beauty department to look at skincare, the staff uncomfortably watches me shop, yet they don't seem to want to help with actual guidance regarding the product. This last time I went, they had a secret shopper following me. It was incredibly obvious. I am not sure why as I have purchased things from there before, and look normal? If they actually helped with the product, I may have purchased more. Not happy at all with these experiences, and left feeling quite bad this time. read more

Great selection of Korean groceries and good sized, never too overcrowded food court - meals are pretty good and reasonably priced as well.

I love H Mart because the location that I used to go to is big, had plenty of produce and seafood selections and lots of Korean food stuffs. I don't however like this store on Robson. It's quite limited in many ways and most of all, things are very expensive here. It's understandable because rent for Robson stores are through the roof. But that also means that I don't get the best bang for my buck shopping here. I guess I'll stick with T&T for most of my grocery needs and only come here for Korean specialty items and occasionally for free samples =). What? I am poor okay. read more

H-Mart is one of the best places for Asian groceries. They have a lot of nicely packaged meats that you can't find at IGA or Urban Fare. They're also really clean and have a good selection of everything. There's also a small food court that's my go-to take out place. It's one of the cheaper places on the strip and the quality is decent. There's a bakery on the first floor and they make good cookies. It's a one stop shop for everything you need. read more

Absolutely packed with stuff. A little too cramped to browse around. Also it is ridiculously expensive. Like 40 per cent more than in the USA or even online adding shipping costs. If you're not in a hurry I'd say go online. read more

As stated in many of the reviews here, their prices are a little steep. I enjoy the assortment of Asian/Korean foods. I have tried their jabche (korean potato noodle) and that is very mediocre and not something I will try again. I do like their roasted Korean sweet potatoes and they are reasonably priced at $3-$4 - easy to pick up on-the-go and much healthier than other types of lunches I have! :p I hardly buy my grocery from here except for a few staples like banana and yogurt. Prices are a little high but cant beat the convenience. The cakes sold at the bakery are also pretty good. My favourite is their green tea/matcha cake. They have a fairly good selection and their cakes are not too sweet which I prefer. read more

I'm a big fan of asian food, so of course I love this store. They've got so many different noodles and irregular fruits/veggies. I was worried I might not be able to read the signs or packages, but they've got a decent amount of English on them. The staff is pretty friendly and speak English (they can be a little shy/quiet sometimes). read more

4 stars for their QQ bread in their bakery section. Want a quick snack? grab a QQ bread!! Hard crunchy texture with a soft sweetish center.

Ohhh, H Mart. This place makes me laugh. I don't know if they're instructed to follow customers around the cosmetics section, hovering 3 feet away from you in the hopes of catching you stuffing $2 face masks and what are supposed to be relatively affordable skin care products (which they're not after they've market them up by minimum $10 a pop) into your purse, but they do! Came here today to pick up some skincare for my mother who lives in North Van. Per usual, the two women working were uncomfortably hovering a few feet away. When I turned to ask the one woman standing pretty much directly behind me if she had a Kleenex or a tissue, you'd think I'd asked her if she could hold my crack pipe. I'm giving it two stars because it's conveniently located, and the one guy who works there is really nice. Other than that, unless you like being conspicuously followed around stores and treated like a thief, just buy online. There are now plenty of Canadian sites you can buy these products from, without the huge mark up. read more

I love this place, gets you in tune with all the Korean goodies available when you are in the neighbourhood. I love the vast array of seaweed, ice cream & snacks they have. The prices are usually pretty good. This week there was a ridiculous sale for Nong Shim Onion rings and some GIANT sheets of seaweed. (8X10!!) and face masks that are even cheaper than Walmart! What's not to love? read more

It was my first time to shop at Hmart, downtown store. I could not find any items that were on sale as advertised in the flyer, and was told they were all out of stock. The customer service was terrible too. I won't go there any more. read more

everthing is not so fresh or new, did not feel good to shop here. did not buy anything eventually

My wife and I had finished shopping and decided to go to the washroom after paying for our groceries. While she was waiting outside the washrooms, she felt that the bag was heavy and since the cashier had double-bagged the groceries she decided to transfer some over to make it easier to carry the stuff home. Our groceries were in H-Mart bags and we had paid and had a receipt in the bag. The security guard approached her to ask if she had paid for everything. Wtf?! We understand that they may have had problems with people shoplifting in the past and that's why they have hired a security guard but you should never accuse your customers. This is not acceptable. My wife spoke with the manager who took it very lightly and honestly we don't think he cared. Sadly we have been giving them business for years. Very insulting! People stay away if you don't want to be accused of stealing. For the record, she doesn't look like she would steal things which is why it hurt so much. read more

Episode 1: Came here for some zac-zac at the food court & I had to use the restroom. There was a sign on the women's room door stating they were cleaning, so my bf went to retrieve the key for the "mothers" restroom from customer service. Episode 2: He returned with an employee & no keys. The employee rushed me into the women's room & was yelling at the cleaning lady to let me use the facilities. Episode 3: After I had already entered the stall + was closing the door, the cleaning lady told me to leave & to come back in 5 minutes when the spray had set/dried. I THEN had to walk BACK to the customer service desk and demanded the keys to the other restroom before he finally released them to me. I have honestly never been so frustrated walking back and forth for no apparent reason, as if I was asking for the key to let me into the gates of heaven. IT'S A RESTROOM. PEOPLE NEED TO WASH THEIR HANDS. By the end of it I really just wanted to punch the guy in the throat and throw the keys in the toilet. Food was great though, I would highly recommend it. read more

So I did some research on Vancouver for my visit and I read about this place on a blog I found. Wasn't planning to come here, but I was walking along on Robson with my husband and daughter and it was right there! AND of course I was hungry so we went to the food court to give it a try. The blog recommended the beef stew, so that was what I ordered. My husband ordered the spicy seafood noodle soup (champong?). They were both delicious! Portions were pretty big. Mine came with rice (or noodle) and kimchi and his came with some of the yellow pickled radish. The noodles were so good, my husband almost forgot to offer me any! (actually, I think he was trying to act as if he had forgotten so he can eat it all!) I definitely recommend trying out the food court if you're in the area! Too bad we were in a rush or else I would of check out the market, it looked so nice inside. I guess I'll have to go again whenever I'm in vancouver. :( (who knows when that'll be...sigh) read more

The prices at this supermarket are kind of expensive. I've actually been here a few times to eat at the food court. The Korean rolls are very yummy. The rice is ok, but not great. The last time I went, I also ordered a ramen noodle. It looked very good in the picture with your choice of dumplings. However, when I was ordering, I had no idea what the lady was asking me. She had a really strong accent. I just kept saying "yes." In the end, what I had ordered looked nothing like the picture even though I ordered by number. In reality, I paid $5 for someone to cook me a spicy Nong Shim instant noodle with a beaten egg. There were no dumplings in there either. read more

Yelp map is wrong but address is correct. Head to Robson and Seymour! Small market compared to Irvine and Cerritos stores in SoCal but a great place to stock up on fresh fruit and snacks for the hotel! I had to call to get the cross street as I got lost twice using the map app and Yelp map. Nice helpful folks. read more

This review is for only this location's food court. I've been to H Marts in NY and Baltimore and they are not similar at all. First off I tried a bento box with sushi. They heated up the box in the microwave, sushi and all. I've never had hot sushi and I don't recommend it. Funny thing was the sushi was hot but the katsu and rice was still cold, so I had to have it reheated (took the sushi myself out for the 2nd pass in the microwave). By that point the meat was chewy and the rice was unevenly cooked. Would not eat that again. We also had the bibimbap. The portion was very small and the taste was nothing special (the price was reasonable but not worth it). Also the server at that restaurant in the food court was less than friendly. She told us they wouldn't accept credit card and then stared off into the distance while we figured out what to do. We had no cash but did have a debit card so we asked if that would be ok, she said we could try it but showed absoultely no interest in the situation. It thankfully worked but the server remained expressionless throughout the exchange. In any case, we won't return and do not recommend it. read more

I went to H mark to get some rice drink and they are many kind on the shelf that said rice flavored drink. Unfortunately the label are only in Korean and of course I don't read Korean. So I took 2 kind of drink to cashier and ask her if this 2 drink are the same. Unfortunately, I guess she doesn't read Korean either so, she can't answer my question( which is totally understandable).she was being very helpful and asked two guys that was working who read and speak Korean. The guys were trying to explain to me that this 2 kind of drink is different( the label said rice flavored drink). I feel very bad for giving them a trouble so I decided to buy both drink and give a try. One of the guys who was helping me turn around and said some thing like" WHAT THE HELL" in Korean. Unfortunately, I understand some Korean word and that is one of them. This is a really bad customer service, you do not say something like that in front of your customer although is in different languages but people do understand some word. I some time go to H mark for grocery shopping and food at the food court. After this experience, I am not sure if I want to go back and support the business. read more

well cleaned but the price is expensive. easy to access but parking is not free like downtown area. i go buy some korean sashimi sometimes.
