I love H Marts and this location is huge! Or at least compared to any of the city locations... however I do know there are other branches that has a huge KBBQ collection. Wow. It's clean, orderly, and nicely stocked with tons of parking. It is in the middle of no where but... hey! Everything you can imagine in a well stocked super-market; H Mart is Korean food focus - but does also offer anything from other Asian brands and American products. Snacks, fruits, and Kimchi galore! BUT will warn you - JUST BECAUSE H MART is Korean focus DOES NOT mean all their kimchi products are good!!!! I am so disappointed and grossed out by these 2 product... the kimchi was old and not tasty at all. The 1000 year recipe brand, is overly soured and cannot be eaten straight from the jar and must be cooked with other ingredients to balance it out. The other one is supposed to be a "mat kimchi" like a normal daily banchan kimchi... it is disgusting. Don't eat it, it's bland and the cabbage used must be so old... rough and really chewy. I love H Mart! I used to go to the one in flushing but ended up switching over to this one since it was closer. I love the selection they have for groceries and other items. There's an incredible assortment of ramen and sweets which are some of my favorite aisles to visit. Their fish market is also a sight to behold. On top of that the store is always clean and well kept. I especially love their food court. Everything they serve is delicious and reasonably priced. Wow. This H Mart is huge! I've only been to the bayside and flushing locations and this one blows them away in terms of sheer size. The aisles were massive and everything was so neatly stocked. You can tell that this store is pretty darn new and I must say, everyone here was super nice and friendly. The food court had a great selection too but I was were there for one reason, to pick up a bunch of meat for the house! The next time I'm back however, I'm definitely ordering from the food court. The reason for all of the meat was that my roomates and I decided to have an impromptu bbq. We really wanted to bring a sense of normalcy to our lives, even if temporarily and figured we deserved a bit of a trip. We didn't invite anyone of course, so while that was odd, it was still nice just relaxing and eating at home and being safe. We cooked up a ton of fresh chicken, pork, and beef ribeye. It lasted us two days. We cooked it over charcoal grill the first day and over a cast iron pan the following evening. See photos for absolute deliciousness. I have to say, the management/ownership of H Mart is doing a phenomenal job. I felt safer here than I have at many other stores I've been to over the last month (throughout Long Island, manhattan, queens, or brooklyn.) There was sanitizer gel and disinfectant wipes available at the entrance for us customers to use as we walked in. On top of that, there was a plexiglass shield between me and the cashier... how smart right!? I even saw staff frequently wiping down counters and couldn't spot a single employee not using latex gloves. I really appreciated seeing the extra steps their taking for their staff, customers and the greater community and I'm very grateful that I've finally stepped foot inside this amazing Jericho H-mart. read more

I have been to every Hmart in Queens and this one blows them all away! Twice as big as the one on Francis Lewis Blvd and can fit both of the ones on Northern Blvd in here. This used to be a Pathmark and then a Waldbaums, both mega-supermarkets for their time. Now there is space for Ktown Food Court, Taiyaki and other 3rd party vendors. Whatever they sell at the other Hmarts just seems to be amplified here. Fresh fruit and vegetables, meats, seafood, prepared foods, they seem to have 50% more of everything. And there seems to be a sample table for everything around every corner. Where else can you sample oyster pajeon, mackerel sushimi, japchae, or beef bulgogi before you buy? And the choice of kimchi is ridiculous with a whole wall devoted to every type you won't ever think of. There's a 30 ft freezer case devoted just to dumplings (mandoo, gyoza). What I love about Hmart is the freshness of their seafood and meats. There are live tanks of Dungeness crabs, lobsters and abalone as well as fresh sliced salmon, tuna, octopus, mackerel and whatever you need to make your own sushi, sashimi and kimbab. There is also prepared packaged, sushi and sashimi if you just want to chow down. One of my favorite things to do is grill all year around. The LA Kalbi (thin sliced beef short ribs) at Hmart are one of the best, with slivers of fat marbling you won't find at your regular supermarket or butcher. Marinate them in Kalbi BBQ sauce from the sauce aisle and sear them a few minutes on each side. That's why they are deliciousness at $15.99 per pound. Another thing here is that there is a dedicated butcher carving and packaging meats right in the middle of the meat department, so you can actually see the piece you'll be buying being carved and sliced. We have been using HMarts in Queens for more than a dozen years now. They have been a good source of Asian products, but were usually in places with less than wonderful parking areas. We were excited to see the one in Jericho on our way to Ikea, but hadn't tried it until early spring of 2020. Our first impression was the enormity of the store. It's like they had a full sized, fully stocked American supermarket, and then added a full sized and fully stocked Asian grocery. In the produce area, we quickly discovered the Chinese eggplants, which turned out to be great for making ratatouille. The sushi section is a standout in terms of pricing and quality. Beyond that is an enormous fish market. It was fun to see the many varieties of shrimp. As you travel on, you find the area where HMart excels - a full aisle of Asian snacks, followed by massive freezer cases full of every kind of Chcinese dumplings known to mankind. These were generally reasonably priced - anywhere from $4 to $9, and we filled our cart with them. The seaweed snacks are a particularly hit with my wife. The meat selections included things like smoked duck and sliced pork belly. I was very happy to see a selection of OB beer - very hard to find. In checkout, they strictly enforce social distancing. The produce is always good quality, there's never ending aisles of houseware and foods, and there are a few stalls of eateries. Def check out the Korean corn dogs while you're there! Coronavirus Diary Day 85 - 6/7/2020 I have been frequenting this H Mart in Jericho for almost a year now. I'm quite happy with their produce section since there's always fresh produce for reasonable prices. Green Papaya, Chinese Broccoli (Gai Lan), and Thai Basil are always in stock here, plus I found abundant supply of Galangal. I usually check out their marinated meat bar for some pork belly, pork jowls or bulgogi beef. I love how this store handles the coronavirus situation since the beginning by letting a certain amount of customers in, handing out free gloves and enforcing social distancing. I always feel like it's never crowded inside. I was impressed with the customer service as well as I was inquiring whether they have a big bottle of oyster sauce in stock, and this lady just came out of the counter and helped me look for it! This is the spot! The entire H Mart shopping experience was amazing! Store is so clean and has so many Asian snacks everywhere! Not only do they keep the traditional bread+butter asian food in stock, but they also keeping up with what's popular today. For example, they added the Dalgona cookies after sqqqquid game. Some say that nostalgia is the most powerful ingredient (dooby). I got the Taiwanese mixed congee and it was the most amazing experience. It's like taiwan cereal. Fye. The bubble tea was ok. As far as HMarts go, this one is massive and has all of the typical HMart offerings and then some. If you want Korean, on generally Pan-Asian snacks, meat, produce, and other items that are typically condensed into the "Ethnic" aisle, you'll surely find them in abundance. There's a few HMart locations much closer to me, and that's usually where I pick up items like kimchi, amazing snacks and drinks, and other groceries, but this particular location is AMAZING for its plant selection! Seriously, the plants available for sale in the little section to the right upon entering is superb! I've gotten several varieties of succulents, ferns, and multiple types of pothos plants at very good prices ranging anywhere from $6-$25. Those same plants go for double or triple the price at places in the city and they're not necessarily as healthy or well cared for the way the plants here are! This location has a big parking lot with plenty of spaces, a food court, is extremely clean and well stocked so it's hard to give it anything less than a perfect 5 star review! read more

I love this HMart location! Huge, new, clean supermarket, and the food court is amazing. Great food, large portions. I saw the Ktown food court featured on an episode of Fios Restaurant Hunter - it can be found online if you search for Restaurant Hunter HMart. It's not long and gives you a great overview of all the food options here. I like this location better than the one on Hillside, and it's definitely better parking than in Flushing (and less crowded.) There are more food options (such as food sold by weight) in the KTown food court if you come during the day, but I have only been in the evening. Note: Ktown food court closes earlier than the supermarket. When the supermarket closes at 10, the last order has to be placed around 8:45. 2 of us shared an order of bulgolgi and a soft tofu stew (Soondubu Jigae). The Soondubu Jigae isn't as spicy as you would find i.e. in a Korean restaurant in Flushing, but it was still very delicious. If you are staying to dine in, it comes in a hot sizzling stone bowl. It also comes with a small miso soup and red rice. The bulgolgi comes with red rice, salad and cabbage. There is free kimchi and onions w jalapenos that is self-serve. The bulgolgi was a little more dry than I prefer, adding the onion jalapeno sauce was perfect. There is also still the usual HMart takeout of various Korean side dishes near the deli that you can purchase at the supermarket cashier. read more

For example, seasons wildweed (see photo) was cut in size in 2021 and not it cut again. It is now 40% of its pre-covid size. I know there is not all due to inflation but to greed. Alot of market taking available of the situation to charge rediculious prices. The cost of raw materials for the dish would be around 80 cents and they are ask for $10.50 now. One of the very best H Mart I've been to. The bakery stands out to me for their flavoured castella (strawberry, chocolate, green tea) and a delicious tiramisu. We haven't tried the food court but it's near the top of my bucket list and you bet I'd be coming here every week if I didn't live hundreds of miles away. Parking is aplenty and this shop has super high ceilings that give the stores an industrial feel. With a menu of over 20 types of soups to choose from, seafood, beef, chicken, tofu, veggies, and pork, the spices and flavor combinations are endless!! You can either have your soup ordered to go to to stay in a small dining area with multiple seating options, including high tops that's shared with the bakery cafe. We bought a pack of pork bacon and found a bunch of relatively long hair standing out of the skin of it after steam-cooked. We had to cut out the skin, which is delicately delicious part otherwise. We complained about this unremoved hair incident (normally the bacon skin has no hair at this store) to a manager at the service center. But he was not serious at all. He was indifferent. I went here for the first time in my life. I was like a kid in a candy store. I walked around just to see what was there! I didn't see it at first, but there is a flower spot as soon as you walk in to your left. Which was a cute little place. I went there to get red bean paste and something else that I can't remember. I didn't realize how many different types of Nori there was until I walked down an isle. There was one side just filled of nori. Or at least a quarter of it. Also, I didn't realize how many different rice cookers there were. They also sold clothing. It was a small little shop, not as small as the flower shop, but I still liked that it was there. It was awesome to see such a place. I am definitely going there a lot more, even though it's about 30 minutes away. read more

This is by far my favorite Hmart. This location is massive! I can spend hours in this store. It never feels overly crowded. Unlike the other locations, the aisles are wide, the store very neatly organized and clean. On the weekends they have several small tables offering samples throughout the store. Feeling hungry? There's a lot of food stalls to choose from. There's the K town food court, Toreoreo Fried Chicken, a sushi stall and buffet type area that sells found by the weight. For dessert, there's the Bake Shop, Cafe L'Ami and Delimanjoo-they sell those cute taiyaki desserts. Yes, some of the items are over priced like the snacks and fruits. But the meats in the butcher shop is priced quite reasonably and the seafood items are very fresh. And they have a huge parking lot which is convenient. read more

My idea of fun now as a parent is to find an all-in-one place. This H-Mart is one of them. Shop for groceries and dine-in for a hot meal. They have a good variety of food on their menu ranging from the k-dog to fried chicken to hot noodle soup and rice balls. Food can take some time but everything comes out ridiculously fresh and good. Guests are pretty good at cleaning up after themselves - it's a seat-yourself type of dining area. It also feels pretty safe with the partitions and spaced out area in the middle. After we eat, we take a walk around this giant supermarket to shop for groceries. They have a restroom, too! Great location to get everything you need in one sitting. The H Mart at this location is the biggest H Mart I've seen, and I've been to 4 H Marts in NYC. This place is massive! They have a huge variety of Korean food and other Korean essentials, yet everything looks so clean and neat and organized. The prices weren't bad either. Live geoducks, abalones, frozen abalones, red meat for Korean BBQ, Korean Seaweed, instant noodles, & etc. seems to be relatively cheaper than those sold in the city. I bought crispy Korean seaweed which were 12 packs for $4.99, can't beat that! I do agree with the other reviews that the cashier seems to be a little rude, and the price on the shelf was different from the scanner. But it was still cheap and my experience here wasn't bad so I'm still giving this H Mart location 5 stars unless the same thing happens again the next time I visit. read more

Now that all of the USA is band from tracing to other countries. I find myself traveling to ethnic super market and spending the bay wondering thru the isles. It feels Like the minute you walk in the store you are in Asia. The fresh produce is filled with all kings of Asian fruits and vegetables, that you would never see in traditional super markets. Wow, I was always a fan of Hmart...but this location totally rocks. This one is HUGE and has so many in-house stations! Dropped in on a Sat. morning to squeeze in a quick grocery run before the crowds and boy did I call it. In at 11AM, left at 1PM and it got packed. Numerous tasting stations all throughout the market so while it is generally not a good idea to shop on an empty stomach because that prompts me to buy everything...I lucked out and sampled a little bit of everything while filling my grocery cart up. $260 later ... you can guess the rest. This Hmart has a bakery, deli, in-house Taiyaki station (everything made fresh in 10 mins), a hot and cold buffet, a Jinga station, and a cafe to sit down to chow down all the snacks you just bought! Amazing one stop shopping. This place sells house wares, cook ware, prepped food, raw and frozen, veggies, meats, and tons of fresh seafood. I picked up some whelk, shrimp, scallops, and Chilean Sea Bass. Can't wait to cook it all and eat it. Grabbed some Taiyaki to go - must try the Nutella flavor and the vanilla. They sell Green Tea and Red Bean combo flavors and original (no filling) as well. Picked up my Boar's Head Deli meats and off to the veggie section. I must've strolled around the whole place. I also grabbed a case load of ramen...what can I say, we're a ramen loving clan. Multi sampling and tasting stations all round the market. I snacked on some squid corn chips (yum), jap chae (cellophane noodles), pork belly (on sale!), and whelk. Delicious. The check out area was fully staffed so no line for me. :-) I am beginning to think this was newly renovated or just immaculately clean. No garbage, not even a veggie or wrapper anywhere. Every shelf was well stocked (except when I cleared out one of the green tea ramen brands), fish market was buzzing with activity, and the entire store was brightly lit and appealing. I need to come back for some fresh sashimi to go. The prices were reasonable and plenty of aisles to peruse. Very productive shopping excursion today. I love this market, definitely great vegetables and fruits and huge pomegranates!! Nice jack fruit section too! We bought a beautiful piece of bluefin tuna, 2 different kinds of yuzu citrus juice, gluten free tamari, apples for Bf since he couldn't find any at the local markets, and some make up remover wipes which I was in desperate need of. I just wish they owned the liquor store next door like the H Marts in Colorado. Being on the East Coast is so different. All in all, a solid 4 stars for this great market. This H-Mart is INCREDIBLE!! :O :O It's located conveniently on NY 106/107, in a huge parking lot shared with Dunkin' Donuts, a liquor store and a few other small storefronts. One thing I really like about H-Mart is their standards of cleanliness. The place is almost spotless. All the aisles are squeaky clean and the shelves are organized. The same level of cleanliness is never found at any Chinese supermarket anywhere..lol That's why this H-Mart is perfect for the local upscale Jericho community. It's absolutely enormous inside, with a decent sized food court complete with a bakery! There's pretty much something for everyone at this H-Mart. Fresh fruits, produce, fresh meats, marinated BBQ meats, seafood, aisles of frozen products, Kimchi section, and endless aisles of all kinds of snacks! :D There's plenty of H-Marts across the NYC, but this location in Jericho is one of the best ones I've seen. Hands down when i am shopping for my groceries, i need to know that the store is exercising a high degree of sanitation and hygiene standards. I walk up to the front door and they have a security officer handling mask checks, there is a station for gloves and sanitizer that everyone must use. All the workers inside are wearing gloves and masks as well. I always say that Hmart has a beautiful display for the meats, poultry and seafood. Presentation is everything and clearly they excel at doing so, which is why we pay premium. About 10 ago, i was at the hillside H mart, and that has to be the worst store they have. I love their produce like eggplant, kabocha squash, mushrooms and korean jams. I like the fresh seafood displays with live fish ready to be clean and sold at a moments notice. Cashiers keep things moving smoothly. I like the K-cafe with the variety of hot foods and soups available to either be consumed on premises or take out.
